The Extreme-Q Vaporizer

Are the more expensive vapes better? It all depends on what you are wanting or looking for.
Herbie is an awesome machine and it is still going strong almost 2 years later!
IMO the Herbie is the BEST bag vape I have used period!
Blows my Volcano out of the water with ease. I find the Volcano bags to be very dry and I end up coughing a lot.
This is not the case with Herbie for some reason.

Anyway I digress...

The EQ is a great machine and if you spend some time with it and experiment until you find your sweet spot, it is a very rewarding vaporizer!
Whip, bag or vape bonging are all easy with this vape.

The higher temp that the EQ can reach is a huge advantage for us medical users that need to venture there to reap all the benefits from our herb.

I would recommend sticking with the EQ and maybe look into a portable for on the go!
We're all different I image?
I did not start smoking joints until 1970!

As a medical patient I only vaporize now.

In Hawaii I smoked 60 grams a week and surfed big waves!

I never liked bongs!

I have a few cars I collect and rare books.

Vaporizer's I love however I think of them as a medical device!

The Q and a @DDave kit does the job.

I was looking at all the vaporizers I own and my wax pen collection which made me feel
Excessive!

My focus is cannabis!
To have an expensive vaporizer is like driving a rolls to the super market!

However if you like it cool!

To me a vaporizer is only a heater to extract the medicine.

For others it's something different!

I learn a lot from you for sure!

Herb gardener...
Didn't realise the solo was conduction. That may be a deciding factor. I was hoping it was convection.
So what portable is convection, if any?

And no I did not grow exodus cheese. It's very common here I live 10 mins from Luton where it was 1st grown. I went for superstrains amnesia as I wanted a high sativa, as that is rare here. It's all indica. I regret taking on a sativa in a wardrobe for my first time but it has paid off with some very strong, nice tasting, full of vapour, frosty, sticky herb that will keep me going for 6 months.

Nice strain!! And sounds like you did it justice!!

As for portable convection vapes there are not too many choices...
Some that come to mind are:
FireFly
MiniVap ( I have this one)
Mighty and Crafty (small amount of conduction)

Maybe we should take this to PM if you would like so we do not clutter the thread!

I think I will do this. I have my eyes on an arizer solo. Feel like I have some loyalties towards arizer now for some reason. Jus harvested my first crop so I am about to save a fortune on not buying stash. 70 quid a week to be exact. Sometimes more if it's shit. So in 2 weeks I can have a solo.
Iv heard people say that when they get the solo the eq gathers dust. I do not want this to happen to me an my eq.
I love my SOLO!

Simple cheap and my go to vaporizer!

A buddy and I picked up an EQ off another awesome FC member; let's just say that now I use my Solo around once a week haha ( I have 0 need for portability)
Edit- the Solo is more of a hybrid conduction/convection vape than it is pure conduction; so airflow heavily effects the heat flow through the load, but when you're not hitting it- it does slowly passively heat the bowl.

I think it's a must for every vapour enthusiast to have both an EQ and Solo! Solo + gong + water tool is still one of my favourite ways to snap 'em! That bit of conduction is awesome and delivers some serious tasty clouds, much like its bigger brother! And being only $20 apart they are both so affordable. Win win.

Don't forget about the Arizer air , the smaller version of the solo with user replaceable batteries , easier to take around and pocket , better battery life do to being able to swap batteries on the fly. It does not have as many temp settings as the solo but i feel it has a bit better airflow and Arizer hit the sweet spots with the temp settings. Solo is awesome also but ever since i got my air i have not picked the solo up at all. I actually gifted it to my buddy for his bday who now loves it.

Based on your statement, without hesitation go Solo. It's built like a tank and the battery will last you much longer, and it has 2 batteries to power it and it's obvious. It's also nice having the extra temp settings. You should get a solid hour to 90 mins easy depending on your use. You can use it while charging, but it's not healthy for the batteries.

I second these statements without reserve!

Solo and Air both have warm stems after a session , they are both the same in that department. You can use a solo stem on the air and air stem on solo, they are interchangeable. Id say def go with the Air and a extra battery , it is the improved model of the solo. Solo gets a bit more battery life bc it has a bigger battery in it but once its dead you have to put it on the charger and cannot swap batteries. With the air , if your battery dies just unscrew the cap at the bottom and pop your fresh battery in it. I think biohacker is one of the very few that has not had great success with his but go read the air thread , everyone loves it and there is 0 to no complaints. Battery life is amazing with the air for the pure fact that you can have extras , they are cheap and swap whenever. Solo is heavier and not as easy to hide and be portable. The air was created being a upgrade to the solo. I am not knocking the solo bc i loved mine also and it performs the same as the solo with the air having better airflow. I always felt i had to suck to hard to get a good hit out of my solo but it always got me medicated , the air is allot more free flowing. Both are great and either choice is a good one , i just like my air allot better for the fact i am now never out and have a dead battery but when i had my solo out with me a dead battery happened and i couldn't do much about it.

I have an EQ and a solo and I am very happy with both. If my solo ever dies I may get an air just to try it out, but I am very happy with the solo atm and cant justify spending the money on air just because I wont to try one out. The solo really helped me quit combusting and using tobacco totally as I can take it anywhere. I end up using the solo most of the time now, but the EQ is nicer because of it's fan forced air and the solo has way more resistance when sucking to get the vapour, but i'm very used to it now and do not mind this at all, i enjoy using both my EQ and Solo.

Yes you can use it (solo) whilst charging, but I've read some people do not recommend doing so, also try not to over charge it, once the charge is up to max (7) then remove the cable this will prolong the battery life apparently. I also bought a car charger that plugs into the cig lighter and I got a hard cover 'vape case' for it. The stems are a bit loose sometime and being glass they will break if dropped on concrete floor but so far I havent broken either of my glass stems (1 straight and 1 bent).

I cannot be bothered with batteries. Already i feel like i spend too much time charging tech items. My house seems to be filling up with chargers!

The only portable vaping i plan on doing will take place in my backyard on those nice, hot aussie summer nights. I will use bags or my mflb (with pa - i have powerpoints outside, luckily). I may even take my ha outside to use as it is pretty much unbreakable.

For now, i have forced myself to stop looking at portables because i figure i don't really need one, i just want, want, want one, lol. I will reassess after summer...

I've been trying to have 2 or 3 EQ sessions in a row so i can experiment and compare a bit. Unfortunately i have never managed to do more than one session because every time i end up asleep still holding the whip, lol. Since i have been using the EQ i have been sleeping a full 8-9 hours a night. It is heavenly!

It's all making sense to me now so thanks. Pics help.
@ataxian, I love my q as it is (stock)
I'm wondering how much better it can get. Never used another vape so nothing to rate against. People talk as if the eq is useless stock. Can't wait for ddaveday to arrive.
I've owned an EQ for over five years. Loved it stock, but the mods made it even better. Can hardly wait to order the full kit.

Do any of you guys use the EQ for aromatherapy? I used to throw potpourri in the special dish and then put drops of essential oils on it and it worked great! Haven't had any luck using it without potpourri though, I tried cotton with various levels of success as airflow is needed. I just use fan speed 1 at around 150-180 to get a nice stream of vapour going.

The EQ aromatherapy bowl works great on the EQ(unlike the Solo one that is almost useless). I have used rose petals that just give the room a heavenly scent. If I lived where weed is still illegal I would use the EQ aromatherapy bowl after vaping every time.

I burn frankincense some times after vaping!

Last night while I was having a Q session with a ddave kit & GDP that taste like grapes.

I was thinking? I actually think sometimes!

T break? So I looked into it and found so much information on the subject!

I get it now!

Yoù need a T break if you're consuming 2 GRAMS per day!
@Dr. Soxhlet I love my Q!

The mods are incredible!
