One looks like a davinci knock off with an ascent mouthpiece and the other looks like a knock off summit...are they supposed to be better?
The jury's still out on both. The MiVape had design issues and the revamped unit is just starting to roll out. The Prima is new too, but by all accounts superior to the summit. Join me on those threads!

I'm following them because of all the issues with the Mighty and Crafty. I have started to look for the Mighty/Crafty killer. Having said that (and continuing to keep my fingers crossed), I've had no problems with my Crafty and love it.

Hey all,

Finally it's happened .... It looks like vapefiend has been listening to us.

They have come up with an adapter that bypasses the cooling unit allowing for direct water tool usage (exactly like the muzzmod).
Available in 14mm and 18mm.

Instagram video of it in use:

It's £15.99
USD ~$25
CAD ~$33
AUD ~$35

Bit expensive especially if you have to ship from UK (where they are based).
But hey, it's been done!!!

Official mighty/crafty water adapter is out (read quote)

Sharing this from the crafty forum if you guys didn't know already, I just impulse bought this, I dislike how bulky it is for what it is, I like how small and simple the modded versions were, but whatever, I need this.

Are you grinding your herb?? Have you tried different types of herb or just same strain? I have had strains not produce vapor and thought my vapes were broke..make sure its dry and you grind well..

I grind it in my Santa Cruz shredder. I've used multiple strains, but they're all pretty old and dry. The herb has been kept well and vapes fine in my pax.

I wonder if the vapor is just not as dense as the pax, but people are blowing clouds in their vids.

i experienced this on my day 1, the problem was my cooling unit wasn't 100% secured, when i sealed it up completely by securing the little black tab that pushes into holographic logo, it ripped like a beast.

The caps lock or whatever they call it is def shut. Does it work better if it's loaded to capacity? I've been using maybe half a bowl and then putting the liquid pad on top.

Hi, I've only had my Mighty three days, but on the first day I had amazing clouds, after that I went through bowl after bowl without getting much at all for two days.
I decided to try putting the herb in and then putting the liquid pad on top. It worked really well and made a huge difference straight away. I was back to getting loads of huge satisfying pulls.
I realised that where I had gone wrong is that I had been medium fine grinding the herb and then fluffing it up with the pointed end of the tool, before putting the cooling unit on. I did this because I read somewhere not to pack it down too tight. The first day I had used it and got big clouds I had squashed the herbs down a little bit using the other round bit of the tool.

I conclude that you do have to squash it down a bit. Not to tight but I've found what with a fine grind then tight produces big clouds consistently. Otherwise you can try putting a bit less in and putting the liquid pad on top of the herb. I hope that this is of some help to you ☺️

The only problem with the liquid pad is that it does increase the draw resistance slightly. Try a bowl with the herb ground quite fine but not dust obviously! Then press it down a bit to compact it.
Since I switched to vaping I bought an electric grinder with a crystal collector. It's much better at grinding herbs the right consistency for vaping, and the crystal collector is very efficient at collecting the bits that often stick to the inside of a plastic standard grinder. I mix the powder collected this way in with each bowl and squash it down into the herb. This makes amazing super strong vapour, it's the THC powder of lemon and cheese. I've found that having this grinder makes a huge difference to the experience and it was only £10 from a local shop.

Hey all!

Back with a quick preview of what I'm working on

I1NTwVz.png

A silicone sleeve which is designed to fit over the bottom half of the cooling unit. Simply unlock and detach the top half of the Cooling Unit, and slide this on top. No cutting, gluing or modification to your CU is necessary

Still tweaking the insides dimensions, but I'm hoping to conduct some testing later this weekend.

Nice thinking outside the box!

Mr. Ratchett , could you come up with something similar that slides on the bottom of the main unit and will keep it upright even in the face of the worst Maxell can throw at it?

Since i make.many muzzmod.and use the song..i can test also..;)

I have two Crafty CU's but no Crafty...

I also bought it and should get it today hopefully. It was around 32 US with shipping.

Try using a screen instead of the pad. Just a standard size and cut out a wedge so it looks like Pacman. Then it can be made smaller and into a little cone to act as a spacer. It works MUCH better than the pad.

I don't know who to credit for that, but I learned it on this site, so props to them!

So after a week of hit and miss heating my Mighty is dead.

So this'll be the second time the mighty goes back and I'm currently waiting for my third crafty. With how well I treat these things I'm a little disappointed.

As an aside though, I'm think I might have have discovered why these new mighty seem to have less battery power.... I plugged mine in when it was only down two bars cause I wanted to try and see if the pass through would make the heater start. Within one minute it went from flashing Bar number four out of six to fully charged. In the past I've thought later half of the battery charges way quicker but this behavior seems broken. To go from 60% charge the full charge in less than one minute.

I'm no expert and don't KNOW what I'm talking about.

It would be my educated/uneducated guess that ONE of your batteries is shot.

That would also IMO explain the hit and miss heating...too much draw off of one battery, that's why the Crafty's heater has less wattage(?) iirc.

Oh yeah, hadn't thought of that. Sounds reasonable to me.

I remembered I had an old Grenco g pro around that will serve until the Crafty returns.

Sorry to interject, I wanted to give credit where it was due following my issues with a brand new mighty that had a bad LCD screen on day 1.

Had the replacement mighty (that was also sent overnight, thankyou S&B) for just shy of a week. Working perfectly, no complaints! Interestingly the first Mighty I received had a serial in the 19XXX, the replacement has a serial in the 23XXX.

on the first day I had amazing clouds,

Never really had amazing clouds or much worth raving about. It's a different experience when medicating Vs the trusty pipe - I'm yet to get fucked off my face by using the Mighty...regardless of the strength of herb.

Get a watertool and that might change :)
Also instead of starting low and working up, if you start at higher temps you'll get bigger clouds.

any FC-er approved methods for cleaning all this gunk out of my heating element? i've already scratched mine up a decent amount just poking scraping it, so i'd like to prevent that from happening as much as possible.

I like magic earasers...changed the game! Sparkling clean and NO scratches.

*Grind fine (ish) herbs
*tightly(ish) pack herbs
*crank mighty to 400°f
*rip for 10-15 seconds, while trying to drop the temp as much as possible
*repeat above steps as needed
*prepaired to get fucked off your face!

Interesting... Sometimes i've avoided the mighty because it gets me too high because the large bowl requires such a hefty pack lol.
I've also legit white walled pieces with the ratchet adapter on multiple occasions.
(Hits that get very close to the vapexhale cloud, I have a friend who believes it's as good as or better than the cloud with the water adapter, I personally don't agree with that but I think it's just slightly below which is still DAMN IMPRESSIVE for a portable)

I think the mighty also gets me effected because of it's short direct draw, I find using a water piece (whilst it allows me to take a bigger hit) it also diffuses the high a little compared to taking that same size hit directly from the unit.

Idk how tightly you pack but you really do need to pack it fairly snug to get the most out of your product, and if you're not packing it full the user manual recommends you push it down with the oil pad.

diddymao

aint no party like a diddy party
just got the 14mm and 18mm crafty/mighty water adapter from our friends vapefiends in the uk
first off i thought it was shit
i own a muzzmod (nice one subway) and this holds the herb nice and tightly packed, but on the water adapter their is a big ass gap between the top of the herb chamber and the screen, was getting minimal clouds, undercooked bowls, felt cheated
but then insperation struck! if you put a standard oil pad in the bottom of the glass adapter before the screen, it keeps everything nice and tight, im now getting uber clouds that cxompete with the muzzmod

will do a video soon

Morning!

As promised here's a picture of my new Mighty SonG (I'm thinking about calling this the "CU-Mod")
culVn7a.jpg

Still tweaking the design slightly, but holy shit it works! So far so good, I was able to take a nice milky rip through my D020 with this guy.

(Yes, that's a mini stand I've been working on - it's also nearly finished :ninja: )

This, or in inverted bowl shaped screen also works.

I tried both with my Crafty adapter and couldn't notice a difference tbh.

holy cow - if anybody is feeling decreased vapor production in their mighty, please check under the CU screen the next time you clean

i cleaned my CU twice without thoroughly cleaning out that chamber between the CU and the screen and was getting frustrated that my performance wasn't improving.

finally took my CU screen out and i swear to god there was a quarter ounce of thick, sludge AVB grime. took 5 minutes to clean it all out but once i did, holy shit the clouds are BACK.

I put in a fine screen in the cu helps a lot. So I tried the magic eraser to clean the oven.
WOW is all I can. Very nice trick.
