Nothing like a toy that you use hot molton plastic to make bugs.I couldn't remember if anyone had posted this great toy that I always wanted. My mom thought it was too dangerous or I would start a fire.
Then they made the version where you could make bugs that you could eat. You probably used the same oven for both.

Ah... New Jersey in the 20th century...land of radiation, polluted rivers, chemical plants, asbestos everywhere and cancer related deaths.

I grew up there from the 50's to around 1980. I remember the Passaic River as being in the top 10 most polluted rivers in the country. And cancer deaths in NJ were the highest in the country and Passaic County had the highest rates in NJ (My county). :nod:

I'm still cancer free...but I wouldn't be surprised if something is still lurking in the woods waiting for me a bit further down the road... :nod:

I'm old enough to have gotten our milk delivered to our doorstep in one of these.

I guess they're still used in some places.
Our bread was delivered by truck, too.

Even our potato chips.

This thread is making me remember more than I normally do. A nice session should take care of that.
