Nah. I prefer to not have to clear much. For me it feels like work. I know, I'm a wuss.
I think I rock a pretty similar HT to you sticks - no dry overflow protection chamber, straight tube, showerhead perc.
Mine doesn't have ice pinches though, but it's splashguard is perfect for holding an ice cube or 2 :)

Pretty sure mine is from like the 2nd batch of hydratubes that came with OG clouds :D

Yeah, it's an awesome little piece :D

Hello FC! New kid on the block so please be gentle!!

I've been looking for a good desktop unit and the EVO came to mind, seems like a quality device. My main question is how does the evo compare to the mighty. I know it's not fair to compare a portable against a desktop but my only experience with vaporization is the mighty.

Thanks again for the help. Love the tightness of this communtiy!! :)

I've got a Crafty and it's really good...one of the best functioning portables, imo. And the Evo is one of the best performing desktops, imo, as well. So there is still a gap. They both do what they were designed to do very well. The Crafty provides fantastic portable hits, and the Mighty is designed to do it longer. The Evo is designed to be as close to smoking a water pipe as possible, and it's able to keep up with any amount of continuous use and gives a clean, tasty vapor that mates with any scientific glass you have.

If I could only have one portable, the Mighty would be in the conversation, as the Evo would be in the same desktop conversation. They both will get you plenty hammered, but do it in different styles. They are more complimentary than substitutes.

Hope that helps some.

I'd like to add that it's really hard to compare portables and desktops since one can provide continuous vapor output via power cord and the other only has a li battery.

*discalimer, im quite drink ATM, keep that in mind ;)

Eh, personally, I don't think that really factors In to a. Comparison at all, aside from a side note that a portable will be out of action for X amount of time to charge...

The crafty/mighty is/are awesome.
The Evo is a whole 'nother level.

@ik'sentrik (edit: why the fuck won't it tag properly??)
Imagine the C/M, but with less restriction, and more ability to heat ALL of the herbs you've packed evenly...

Like, with any portable, you can always get thicker clouds by just bumping up the temps...
But with the evo, it can easily heat all your herbs to whatever temp you've set it to, without the need to actually go to a higher temp.

Even less draw restriction sounds great, it was one of the reasons I decided to buy a Mighty :)

I've just spotted the EVO for sale at Owlvapes with a swagger sidetree & hydrafoot for £459:

You basically sealed the deal. I will start gathering my pennies for one ASAP!! Thank you all for your input.

Is the evo a pleasant experience when used dry or does it need a HT?

I feel like if you used the EVO with a whip, it be alright dry. But I'm just guessing.

Most of the time you want to use water filtration I find. But even a small amount, such as an F-bomb or pinnacle water tool, will be enough.

I've had both units as well. As far as production both units perform well but IMO the buck stops there. Granted, I've been out of the game for a minute with the EVO but comparatively speaking on taste there's no contest. It's VXL hands down. You can't compare a glass air path with the bowl of the mighty. I actually parted ways with the S & B simply due to taste degradation.

It was straight popcorn after 3 or 4 hits.

Hi guys,

Just anther noob on the block. Please please be gentle and kind :). I started using cannabis just over a year ago only as a recreational user. Even though I'm only vaping once or twice per week (weekends only) my tolerance surprisingly went up considerably. I own Magic Flight Box and Arizer Air portables. At the beginning three reloads with decent herb used to put me to some awesome state of high. But now all I get is some "heavy head" feeling similar to being drunk. It does not matter how many times I reload I'm not getting anywhere near I used to and would like to be. My son who is 21 year old student and smokes weed almost on a daily basis, rolls up a big spliff and he is high as a kite. If I smoke the same size spliff using the same herb, It does not do much to me either. As a non smoker I don't find the taste of burning weed even enjoyable not talking about health concerns. Recently took a two week brake. First session after that was amazing just as it used to be at the beginning but the next day (same herb) I could not pass this "heavy head" stage again. Do any of you have similar experience?

Since everyone here says that Cloud Evo is the biggest hitter of all desktop vaporisers currently on the market (please correct me if I'm wrong) I'm seriously contemplating about getting one. I'm in the UK so probably http://vapefiend.co.uk is the best option. The base unit is no brainer. But the choice of glass is where I get stuck and confused. I see a lot of discussions in this thread going around flavour vs diffusion vs draw or hydratubes vs bubblers vs bongs. I've never vaped trough water and don't know what is the difference between HT and bubbler? And most importantly what would be more preferably in my case (high tolerance)? More diffusion? Less diffusion? HT? Bubbler? Bong? Does the size of the glass makes a difference? Can someone point me to the right direction please?

My initial idea before I got totally confused was to get just a base unit with mouthpiece and to get cheaper glass from China something like this http://www.dhgate.com/product/2014-new-matrix-sidecar-glass-bong-birdcage/214701656.html. What do you think?

Talking about taste and flavour I prefer the vapour I'm getting from MFL . Vapour from Arizer Air is too dry for my throat even if set on "green".

Sorry for such a long mumble rumble. I hope everyone has figured out by now that English is not my first language.

That sound like you have build yourself some huge tolerance while repeatedly hunting a powerful head high.
You just can't get super high all the time and not expect the tolerance to explode into sky.
No matter what method.
3 bowls in the Air are probably as powerful as smoking a whole gram alone in a joint.
I would suggest a t-break or at least reduce the ammount or frequency of vaping so the tolerance can get back down and allow you to get high again.
With MJ, less is often more considering the tolerance effect.
I have a Solo which perform just like Air and its over 10 times less powerful than EVO (but still very powerful for a portable).
The EVO has about 5 times less drag, double the vapor density and almost double the bowl size.
So the EVO is one of the few vapes that could probably blast off even someone with a big tolerance.
But I wouldn't recommend that - it would only bring the tolerance even higher shortly after.
The EVO is an amazing and powerful vape worth getting, but that power comes with responsibility.
It can go thought a lot of weed for people that can't control themselves and completely burnout them.
