Has anyone mentioned a sitcom called 'Better Off Ted"? Cause its kinda funny. Especially if you've ever worked for a GE type of company...

Ditto for House of Lies...

I watched and enjoyed:

Sense8 (series) - unique concept, surprisingly touching, at times a little too all over the place, but thought it was worth it in the end.

Dear White People (film) -thoughtful, funny, progressive, diverse and multi-dimensional representations of black people, there's no movies out there like it.

Skeleton Twins
(film) - funny, heartwarming

Fruitvale Station
(film) - Well done, very sad, but very good

Wet Hot American Summer: First Day of Camp
(Series) - super silly, very good.

Girlhood
(film) - very good

I really enjoyed that show. I literally don't know anyone else that even knows of that show other than you. A shame it ended after a couple of seasons.

A really good asian movie that's funny and has incredible action/martial arts scenes/sequences, awesome choreography and cinematography, and is shot beautifully (can actually see what's happening in action scenes, as opposed to many Hollywood movies) is Kung Fu Hustle. Highly recommended.

I heard cowspiracy was good...anyone watched it ?
Is it on netflix for you? This and this say it was supposed to start streaming on the 15th but when I search netflix nothing comes up in either streaming or dvd. I'm gonna be pissed if it's censored in my area!

edit: I'm pretty sure it is (censored):goon:

It comes up for a second when I search with "netflix [dot] com/search/cowspiracy/" then goes to a blank black page, which I have never seen before. And when I do a manual search nothing comes up, in either dvd or streaming. I will be looking forward to hearing about availability (in your area).

I just watched "The Culture High" on Netflix. A very good documentary on the reason for legalizing mj everywhere. Here is the IMDB listing.

"'The Culture High' is the riveting story that tears into the very fiber of modern day marijuana prohibition to reveal the truth behind the arguments and motives governing both those who support and oppose the existing marijuana laws."

I got an "activate Silverlight" notice, but that's not that unusual. "The Conspiracy" is the title I found.

Helpful, or do you still think that they are planning, behind your back, to exclude you?

Not really helpful yet. Are you able to watch "Cowspiracy", or not?

And where are you located, if in usa what state?

Here's my results, I'm in alaska:

Do you still think I'm being :tinfoil:?

edit: they fixed it, kind of:

It still doesn't show up on a search for me, but when I click on the 'watch instantly' link it comes up. Which seems weird for something that's been out for over a week but whatever, probably just a glitch...

I go where the thrills are
The Big Star documentary "Nothing Can Hurt Me" is excellent. Highly recommended if you're a fan of the band, or indie music in general....fascinating look at the Memphis music scene in the 70s. And, of course, the tragic story of talented guys who died way too young.

If you guys like edge-of-your-seat, fast paced thrillers, with a killer soundtrack that feels essential to the movie (introduced me to new music/bands/genre), check out "The Guest" on Netflix. I have severe ADD, so a movie has to be just right to keep me engaged, and this one did it effortlessly.

I watched it last night. Preaching the the choir about the inherent cruelty (I skipped through the really graphic parts, seen that already), as well as the detrimental effects on the health of humans that consume cafo-animal products. But the part that got me was how unsustainable animal-based agriculture is as a whole on this planet, without a huge population crash this bubble may be bigger than even petroleum.

I watched it tonight. As much as I would love to live an environmentally sustainable lifestyle, I've come to accept the fact that saving humanity is not worth giving up cheeseburgers. I guess I'm an asshole after all.:disgust:

Small changes, such as choosing local produced, small ag sourced, knowing your food sources when possible... think farmers markets... do add up to big impacts.

Try a grass-fed cheeseburger sometime. :)
