I think i'll be moving on from the Mighty once and for all, simply for that reason. If it was $60 no problem, but at $120 and paying shipping back and forth (maybe $20 each way?) i'm looking at over $200cdn in order to fix the batteries. Fuck that!

I still think the Mighty is the best portable I have ever used, and should any changes occur (especially obviously removable batteries) I would buy one again. I just can't justify such an expensive product anymore. Maybe if they had Arizer's AAA customer support.

Really? Because one person, who doesn't even own a Mighty, is claiming his batteries are completely useless within 3 months, you're questioning selling "the best portable I have ever used"?

How many people (who actually own a Mighty) have actually had issues like that? How many thousands of others are still going strong?



Totally agree on the removable battery aspect. If S&B ever made the Crafty/Mighty with a removable battery, it would take it to a whole new level. But I realistically don't see that happening any time soon, or at all.

However, the Crafty/Mighty have now reset the high water mark in certain aspects of portable vaporizers. So someone will come along, and improve upon it. So yes, they're not perfect, but it's driving the industry forward imo.

YEP! Lots of factors, but I think I mentioned them all including customer service. But overall this is something i've been thinking about for a while, and this just pushed me over the edge. You're right though, this hasn't been an issue with the Mighty (yet) but the Crafty has completely shit the bed.

Welcome @SmokedHamJunkie! I have the Crafty and Firefly. I MUCH prefer the Crafty. In fact, the ff is basically retired. It seems that Crafty v. Mighty mostly comes down to battery life. I prefer a smaller unit and don't mind the recharging needs of the Crafty. But I think you're gonna love your Mighty.

Also, to begin with I was planning on running my Mighty without any water filter. I currently use my SSV through a huge Black Skull quad perc ice bong. I don't like the SSV without the water because you get too much particle through the whip and it can be quite irritating to your respiratory system.
Is the Mighty smooth enough as it is through the cooling unit? Or do you regular users out there think that a water adapter is essential?

I never use glass with my Crafty. Smooth and tasty without.

I own both crafty and a mighty and I have had to send both in for repair in less then a year. Now when I shell out 300-400 for a top of the line item I expect it to perform well and be supported well and I don't think SB has lived up to that. Granted I am a small sample size but I have a 100% defect rate and that does not cut it. What frustrates me even more is their vague response and seemingly lack of care for the end user. What is the cut off for in use hours before the batts go out of warranty? How many times can I recharge it before it goes out or warranty. Will I void the warranty if I do "something else" that SB sees as an issue, seems they make this crap up. Both of these seem to depend on what day it is and who is manning the mail box..crap. That's a bunch of crap. Stand by your product and document what the limits are. I for one would NOT have shelled out 400 for a vape that could have been my daily driver had I known I would have to baby it. There are other companies out there that seem care more about the customer then these guys do and they are the ones that should survive. Yea I am rambeling abd venting but I have to feel so sorry for these users that are getting screwed by these companies that don't have the facilities or means to keep sending these back all the time.

Last example......how many times has SB popped in here for feedback?.....case closed

Interesting, @lazylathe sold me his Crafty and much prefers his FF! Then again, he likes vapes that I don't and vice versa so it's definitely an individual preference thing based on experience, likes, etc.

The Mighty (or Crafty) are the smoothest direct hit vapes i've ever used. With that said, I only like to use water tools because it helps me immensely, especially taking MONSTER sized hits. My go to with Mighty is MAX temp, FULL bowl (.25g) and rip it as hard as I can!

If S&B ever release an a/c powered Mighty (don't want any batteries) i'd pay good money for it! Had the Plenty, but found the bowl massive and a bit awkward to use.

Dunno about the Crafty...the choice between the FF and the Mighty is very much an "apples/oranges" kinda thing. I think they are mirror images of each other....one sleek and elusive, one machine-like and brutally efficient. They are both awesome vapes, for different reasons.

Bottom line is you certainly will be glad you got the Mighty...it's pretty much a game-changing piece of portable vaporizer technology. I personally wouldn't wanna be without both the FF and the Mighty. Different tools for different situations and effects. But the Mighty is aptly named: there likely isn't a mightier portable vape in the universe. And if there is, put me down for a pre-order. :lol::nod:

about 3 full months in of pretty heavy use and i'm starting to notice some battery loss, am i in for a life of paying for multiple battery replacements per year? would i be better off just buying a 2nd unit straight out rather than relying on 1 unit with 1 battery? having just 1 daily driver that you use heavily has pretty bad impacts on the battery i'm realizing now.

i guess what i'm wondering from other FC users is if anyone has had any luck keeping their mighty for 12+ months with decent use without needing any battery replacements.

I'd consider having a desktop as a backup rather than another Mighty. That way you should always have a reliable vaporizer even when you send your Mighty in for service. Also, using them in rotation should help preserve the battery life of your Mighty.

While it's not AC powered entirely, you could use the Mighty while charging and it's pass through so it doesn't use the batteries power while using it. If memory serves me correctly.

I'm also very bummed with how s&b have been treating certain customers. I had sent in my unit a couple of weeks ago and although they replaced my chipped casing and upgraded the firmware on the unit they kept the old bowl and batteries. I'm sufficiently happy, but not satisfied especially hearing how some people have been treated. 70 dollar quote to replace batteries? How is it that grasshopper labs charges 5 bux for batteries meanwhile s&b charges 70-100? Their business plan seems to just rip people off.

I see allot of people say that the Mighty is very smooth due to the cu. I almost always cough when taking mighty hits compared to my other portables i use daily. The ones i use the most right now are my pax2 and arizer air. I never cough from them and can take very big hits. I think it could be from 0 limitation when it comes to airflow with the mighty while the air and pax have some restriction. I also like to take monster rips with the mighty and even if i do cough i am happy with it. It is just what i wanted although my girl doesn't like it to much and is almost always reaching for the pax2.

5. Can I operate my MIGHTY while the battery is being charged?
Yes. The MIGHTY can be operated with the mains adapter at any time, even when the battery is completely discharged.

Can you operate while battery is being charged? Yes.

If you really want to is another matter. Charging and using at the same time has to put an extra load/stress on the battery. Even if they say it is a "pass thru" system---which I'm still not sure about.

Using the device creates internal heat and charging a battery creates internal heat, and heat is the enemy of long battery life---NOTE: especially important when battery is not DIY replaceable and S&B is charging an arm and a leg to replace :)

Can someone do some testing when your battery is near zero? Plug in and use for a long session at 360 F, a good 15 minute session. Unplug and later repeat. After 30 minutes of simultaneous use while charging, what is the battery at?
What is the charger rated at for output? XX volts ? YY amps ?
What is the Mighty heater? I think 30 watts.....
Trying to figure out what current is going where when plugged in AND using.

You are doing better than me. I have to do four warranty returns since January.

Sending the units in for warranty replacement is just part of owning one of these units. I wasn't happy with having to this in the beginning, you'll get used to it.

It's not everyone, just myself and a few others, and I think i'll stop calling them that. The battery replacement policy is what it is. I think it sucks, so I won't support them anymore unless something changes.

Perhaps that is why mine have been unaffected? I never really rotated them, just grabbed whichever one, although my wife never used higher than 165, so maybe that played a roll - compared to my 210.

Pass-through IF it has a full charge. If not, it will still charge after it reaches temp. IMO it's still not a true pass-through even on full charge.

Ofcourse they would say this! They aren't trying to help us, they are trying to preserve their business. Look at Arizer's newer Solo's! They changed from pass-through bypass adapter to use and charge at the same time. I guess they weren't selling many PA's? More $ off of batteries is my guess....consumable items are great to keep customers coming back after initial investment.
