It is tasty and leads to joviality and lessening of social inhibitions for me. There are multiple phenos from seed, if you are after the high CBD you want to make sure they are using a verified clone and hopefully have test results as well. Many of the tests for cannatonic I have seen were over 20% THC.

I used a pheno that was just about 1:1. There is a pheno that is around 1:15-20, and around half if memory serves were 20:1 (THC:CBD)

I had a Harlequin x Cannatonic cross, like 15% cbd and 6% thc. My tolerance to THC was pretty high because even the good indicas I vape have high THC levels, easily 3-4x, but rarely over 1.5-2% CBD (although I should say I have access to refined CBD CO2 oil ~43% CBD and 2% THC). When I vaped the 'Cannaquin' I basically got no head high but it really helped with my pain. I didn't get too sleepy vaping it. I also had some capsules made from hash oil from it with coconut oil, 100mg oil each. Those were great. Maybe a little much even, take one 45 minutes before bed and I slept well. I prefer vaping before bed instead of taking my opiates before bed for pain, I'm trying to keep it minimal but get pain that unfortunately conventional cannabis doesn't really help sometimes (and even sometimes big dabs of the CO2 oil don't really help). I do keep a few grams of the CBD CO2 oil around, sometimes it doesn't work... as well as the flowers. Personally I think that keeping it in flower form is a little more beneficial. You get the full spectrum of cannabinoids as well as the terpenes. Terpenes are beneficial by themselves, providing benefits for inflammation and depression as well as anxiety and other things. The CO2 oil I get (and I think all of the CO2 oil) seems to really like pulling the terpene beta-caryophyllene, which results in a black peppery taste. Even though the oil is higher in CBD content I feel like I got a more wholesome benefit from the flower and the capsules. So high CBD flower oil seems to provide better effect for me. Anyways I know I'm rambling on now and it is barely related to your topic but you're interested in high CBD and I have some experience in that so I hope it helps?

High CBD low THC flower and extracts = really nice for me, helps with pain and relaxes me without really doing anything at all headwise due to my THC tolerance*.

High CBD concentrates that are CO2 and/or refined or pure CBD = helps a bit*, doesn't seem to be as beneficial as CBD + THC + terpenes*.

Me = curious to try pure CBD oil and do a fractional distillation of some cannabis and collect the terpenes and introduce them to some CBD and see how it works.

*I suspect I am an outlier in regards to CBD working for my pain as I have a somewhat serious pain condition so it can only do so much for me before it's useless for me. Sometimes I ingest a lot of CBD and it ends up not working. Take my experiences as just my experiences :2c:

Hoping to get from seed.
I'm looking for a strain that has a strong body buzz with little or no psychoactive effect.
Would you recommend Cannatonic?

I'm looking forward to a day when all people are legally allowed to treat themselves
with cannabis. It's a basic human right.

It says in the Declaration of Independence That we life and liberty and the pursuit of happiness.
I guess they didn't mean me making myself happy with cannabis...

Have you guys ever had Tora Bora? 3:2:1 ratio of CBD:THC:CBC

Lineage
L.A. Confidential x X18

Strain Story
It was not intended to be a CBD strain but the old school genetics of L.A. Confidential (pure Afghan) and X18 (pure Pakistani) has led at least one high CBD phenotype to be isolated and grown medicinally.
Appearance
Tora Bora grows very vigorously with Pakistani dominant structure and hand grenade size flowers that resemble Afghan buds but bigger and looser. The leaves turn purple very early, usually only half way through flowering.

Also a good strain I see done pretty well in CO is Good Medicine.
I have some Charlotte's Cat Brain shatter that also brings more pan relief than a strong heady high.

hi , i have be using cannatonic for over a year now or there abouts . i get it from a LP in Canada from the fairly new medical program .
what i do like about the new program is that im pretty confident that the numbers they advertise there products being tested at are legit .
they have health Canada up there asses doing unannounced check ups on them and retesting there products , seems there pretty anal about it.
anyway this is a good thing for the clients of the LP s the bad thing is the prices although i am willing to pay extra to know the exact specs on the strains i buy . and knowing its a good clean product.

i have tried 4 strains high in thc and high in cbd of the four different high cbd strains i have tried
( cannatonic, sweet skunk , warlock , and afagan ) i like the cannatonic the best .
i have some now that is 14.4% thc and 10.5% cbd . but have had it and the other ones at more of a one to one ratio. i like to mix the high cbd strains with other high thc strains so i can custom blend strains with what ever i want to try , say like 18 to 20 % thc and 5 % or so cbd .

anyway what i can tell you about the cannatonic (the more one to one ratios ) is although its not as rock solid dence buds as some of the high thc strains it is always about the stickiest greasiest and best smelling strains i get . (and i have gotten strains all the way up to, and a little over 30 % thc)
it really has a beautiful smell in a lot of ways stronger more pungent smell then other high thc strains .
i was really surprised actully at how oily the buds are .

i find that it vapes really well , nice thick vapor, taste very good although it does have a little hint of a kinda off taste . i wouldnt say its the best flavor ive had but its still very good.
i find the effects good even when vaped or smoked by its self . i did notice that the smoke can seem a little harsher then some other thc only strains but nothing terrible .
i can notice a some what taming effect it has on some of the high thc strains which is why i like it . not that it lessens the effect in a bad way i would say its a in a good way .
anyway im lucky in that i know the exact levels of what i have. if i wasnt in Canada and buying from such a tightly regulated industry i dont think i could trust the numbers as much.

anyway cannatonic is the only strain that i like to always have on hand . i have bought it more times then any other strain since having assess to cbd strains . although i havnt had much experience with the really low thc types of ratios i just wanted to offer my experiences with the more one to one ratios..

I was lucky enough to come across some cannatonic 'live resin' from my supplier. It was expensive but had some of the best flavor I've ever experienced. While I did notice its medicinal effects, it also made me pretty high too.

I have been fortunate to try it out here in la and its one of the more premium buds. If the LA Con it comes from is high quality it has an even better effect. Kind of reminded me of the planetary strains, jupiter, mars etc.

I got a gram of cannatonic 1:1 at the local pharma. I don't get much of anything from it (pain relief or otherwise) with exception of a slight headache. I now blend in with a sativa strain in hopes something will come of it.
