Came home today to find an unexpected package on my doorstep - my Joda order!

Several months ago I asked Joda for a "Mario Themed" 18mm Carb'd GonG for my Nano, and an Aromatherapy Cup to hold essential oils. I really wanted a sweet aromatherapy cup to stare at while my nano isn't in use.

I decided to let Joda choose the exact design (just told him super mario, that's it). I wanted to give him artistic freedom to do what he wanted (I find that's when the best creativity happens).

First, the 18mm Carb'd "Bob-omb" GonG!

Love it! For having no idea what he'd make, I thought it turned out GREAT! Nice work dude

But then then there's this - The Piranha Plant aroma cup!!!

Holy freaking hell is all I can say!!! :o  Dude I can't believe how good this turned out! You've come a long way in these past 18 months, it's been a thrill to watch your skills evolve over that time period.

I can't wait to get some essential oils loaded up so I can start using it

Then a month or two after my initial order, I saw that sweet new Steamroller design and just HAD to order one. Again, I gave Joda full freedom to create whatever he wanted, and I'm very happy with the results. This is a very nice piece:

Pictures don't do the color justice, but it's beautiful. Excellent construction, and high quality glass for an affordable price - I love it! Can't wait to try it with my Lotus later tonight

Amazing the build quality! Just amazing to compare the difference between american glass and China glass - you can feel the difference. Real boro is stronger glass

Yet again, awesome job @VaPeD&CoNfUsEd, thanks!

Glad you dig everything @Ratchett. Do you like the holder for the piranha plant?

Also the color on the steamroller main body is silver fume. So, if you let it get good and dirty it should show off a fantastic range of blues and purples. This effect works MUCH better for combustion pieces but you should see a bit of change over time. I'd honestly like to see how it looks after awhile of uncleaned use.

(Stupid me got too excited about the glass I wanted to photograph before I use it, I didn't even check the box for anything else lol)

You know I just don't know @DieHard. I wasn't even aware that it attacks a ti sig. That's a bummer.

@Ratchett those are all ti signed btw, if you hadn't noticed. Just to warn you just in case you use pbw.

Sweet! My first signed Joda pieces! I normally don't use PBW on my smaller glass accessories (since I can access both ends enough to clean fully without PBW). But I'll be sure to keep that in mind. Thanks for the heads up @DieHard

Nice work again @VaPeD&CoNfUsEd, it was well worth the wait

Revere glass on YouTube. The books contemporary lamp working volumes 1&2. Talkglass.com. Google. Lol unless of coarse you live somewhere where there's a good glass scene. Then I suggest taking whatever classes you possibly can. I'm self taught and wish I didn't have to start that way but I did.

Mountainglassarts.com but please do your research first. I researched intensely for almost 2 years before spending a dime. I'm not saying that's the only way to go but I highly suggest it. That way you don't walk in blind. And being self taught you'll want every possible advantage. A lot of us buy our best cheapest equipment from guys that tried to buy their way into the craft and failed because they got in over their heads. I still feel like I'm drowning sometimes and I've put in all he proper steps. Glass will test your patience like nothing you've ever done in your life.
