The Dipstick Vaporizer

FWIW, it only has a 90 day warranty, but they sell a year long warranty for an additional $15.
It is a risk at the asking price considering the extremely short warranty. Doesn't speak of the manufacturer having faith in the product.
3-year warranty, included with it. the booklet is old in the unit. they are backing the dipstick up for three years now.

I picked up a dipstick from a local shop here. I got to use it for a few days, but it had a issue that required a replacement.
I have to say, I am missing this unit right now. it is so fun to do concentrates without the loading procedures and mess. most important of all though is the taste.. great taste in fact, and it tastes good on every hit. I had to wipe the vapor tip a few times, bur cleaning seems like it will not be a big deal at all. smooth vapor as well, never hot on the throat or mouth. I will post more info after I get my replacement back.

Just thought I'd update on the purchase of my Dipstick.

I was sent a defective device that wasn't airtight AT ALL and basically, unusable.

The "#9 'cover'" on mine was not airtight, regardless of how tight the "#11 'cover screw'" was.

Can you please direct me through the replacement/warranty process? The product sent to me needs a replacement due to the quality of product I received:

My dipstick came with a “cover", sealing ring, and “cover" screw that were defective. The “cover” of the dipstick, regardless of how tight the screw was (keep in mind the instruction manual says do not over tighten), still allows air through the “cover” of the dipstick; not allowing for an airtight inhale from the vapor tip.

This lack of air direction through the “airway” caused a complete buildup of concentrates inside the “dipstick” and created a complete mess.

After unscrewing the first vapor tip I had installed, It had collected so much residue from build up that it separated the top vapor tip from the ground plate; making it unusable.

The device also does not hold temp on the vapor tip, and at times, doesn’t fire at all.

I must remind you that your slogan is “No loading! No mess! Just dip and go!”.

Your slogan/promise hasn’t reflected the product I received and I’m very disappointed with the quality.

@mrgohamilton Have you heard back from them? I am interested in this pen since I am done with Persei, but your post has me worried. It seems like a lot of $$ for something where there are quality control issues like that!

Can anyone else chime in on this device? I am coming from a Persei/Herc setup and I'm looking for something more reliable and less messy. I thought this might be it, but now I don't know. There seems to be a real lack of quality pens for shatter use...

Mine has been working well. Performance is dependent on your battery charge, when the battery starts losing juice it take longer to get the tip to glow. I have found that getting the tip glowing before touching concentrates seems to work better. Mine does seem to seal, but it also does build up a lot in the reclaim chamber. I have had to clean it a couple times so far. The cover screw can get clogged with the reclaim.
For the sealing issue, if I am not careful there will be a gap, but after flipping chamber around, manually pressing it together before tightening the screws seems to make a good seal.

^^ Same here, there's gotta be a better way! I found this video review. This guy Tojo seems to like it but def not love it. It seems like an amazing idea executed pretty well with perhaps some room for improvement like the review suggests. But encouraging with positive reviews like @Polyrhythm.

Also, it seems they've partnered up to make an electric Nectar Collector.

heard back from them mid last week. Amber from Improve sales LLC contacted me saying that my "reclaim chamber" is the problem and has an issue, BUT, they need to get the unit in to take a look at it.

I then provided all the materials (per request by improve); a cleaned dispstick, original packaging with jars/lanyard/charger/cleaning swab/manual/original order info/screw bit to unscrew top chamber/ 2 batteries/ magnetic top.....
(the email said not to send any used vapor tips or glass jars.)

This unit I'm returning is in the mail (with a label provided by Improve) after having cleaned it from all concentrates.

According to Amber from Improve: the returned device will be inspected, and if there is a problem, it will be replaced.

i'll keep everyone updated on how this process goes and hopefully i get sent a functioning dipstick.....

They are very good and if I lived in an area of consistent concentrates I'd be really tempted to buy one.

It is less messy, can't speak for reliability.

They feel well made and perform great, it is just a reversed coil, the ceramic end has the coil lipping over to melt the oil. It's pretty nice, can't comment on efficiency. Design works well, don't know if I'd spend 200 on it, but I'm pretty strict with my vaporizer budget.

Just got this in the mail today. So far I think this a very nice piece of gear. Seems well built, has a nice weight to it and overall just looks very slick. Looks like a big marker when not in use. It's a very clever idea of vaping and the design is very professional. This thing makes dabbing way too easy. Press a button and dip your stick in your jar of concentrate and inhale. It's def better than a pen, but I'm not so sure I'd say it's time to put your rig away. Maybe. The ease and lack of mess is really nice.

So far I'm happy I added this to my collection. Got 25% off with HIGHTIMES code

Day 2 with the dip stick and I'm even happier than yesterday. When I was reading this thread before people said to take a slow draw. I've been using my pen a lot so I drew way too hard and ended up gunking it up a bit and had to unclog it. Nothing major, but I didn't remember until after the fact to take slow draws. So today I remembered and take 1 slow draw and was very impressed at the quality of vapor. I like how quick it made my session. No more than 3min and I'm ready to move on to something else.
My only real complaint so far is the life of the batteries. I probably get 10x10sec pulls per charge. I will probably order some more batteries to have on hand. Not a big deal, but it would have been nice if this device used a different battery setup. If you use this nonstop you will get a 15min session. With friends over that could cause issues. Plus given the cost of this thing that battery life is pretty crappy. I don't know if the makers intention was to make a portable or not, but the current battery life would make it kinda crappy for that purpose. Still happy with my purchase though, just wasn't expecting having to get more batteries.

I think I figured out the issue with the batteries. I watched a vid on youtube and the girl in the video said her batteries charged in 20min. It didn't sound right, but when I charged mine the lights went green within 20min. However that doesn't mean they are fully charged. Not sure how long I should charge them, but 20min is def not enough. So I am now getting much better battery life and COULD use this as a portable.

This lil gadget is so friggin' cool. So happy.

Well it's been a full week and I have to say I have buyers regret.

It burns through concentrate too fast
It sucks up oil and the reclaim chamber gets full daily. Waste of material.
It clogs daily
It must be unscrewed and cleaned daily

Because of the over cleaning it will no longer unscrew. I emailed support and am still waiting to hear their resolution.

I don't plan on using it ever again even if they replace it. I'm hoping for a refund.

On to the next vape. This only feuled my VAS lol.

Its funny i just stumbled upon this. I sent my first dipstick back to improve because there wasn't a tight seal due to a machining error on their part. Upon receiving the "new" dipstick, I noticed that the draw was much better than the first dipstick.

However, the dipstick still functioned like a piece of shit. The tips on the dipstick get sticky due to the shitty heating and then pull apart, leaving them useless.

These dipsticks coils heat for maybe 5 seconds, glowing red, before losing heat. 5 seconds of a red hot coil along with inhaling the dipstick gives maybe 1 second of functionality. So sad I paid 200$ for this a few months ago. I wouldn't even pay 10$ for this today.

@Vape Dr. Are you still loving this? Do you still highly recommend? I'm interested.

@Danksta Are you still unimpressed with it? What you're describing make me want to pass on it.

Really thought this product was great until I actually bought one. What a worthless piece of crap. I have read over the thread comments above by Vape Dr but I dont see how he has such high comments on it. It does not work the way it SHOULD work. It SHOULD just act like a nectar collector but without having to heat the tip with a torch...but even small light draws cools the coil off way too much to get a tiny hit. Complete waste of money.
