I've found I don't need to stir the load at all, so having a removable clip for stirring that isn't needed seems strange.
@Deadshort480 is correct in that the GH doesn't need to be stirred , but I referred to clearing the chamber, not stirring.
Depending on your material, the spent load can get a bit nested in the chamber. A light poke and it's released.

Ah yes, quite true. I give a couple quick hard blows to the air intake holes where the LEDs are and that usually clears out any residual debris left in the chamber.

Turnaround time was less than a week for a replacement core. My grey ti works very well, and now the og ti is back up and running. The GH team has stepped up their customer service, and the GH lives up to all the hype for my everyday use. I have been using less material since the hopper lets me stay lifted with less effort. I don't pack the chamber, don't stir, and keep the temp set on 4. Just enough temp for water cooling thru my Atom. Can't feel the vapor going in with water cooling, upon exhale, that hit I just took was much bigger than I thought.

That sounds like a dream come true!

I really like how their updates have been getting better since Caroline joined their team. She seems to have been doing wonders for their public relations and their company image. Just wanna say doing a great job caroline.

Agreed....Caroline .

Just kidding.

I think their updates are strategically getting more vague because they realize their missed # projections are causing more riff than good.

They're just trying to keep heads above water is how I speculate.

Yeah, I got no more from this update than any of the others. Why can't they say, "there are ### backers left to fulfill, which we expect to satisfy by mid-October, and ### pre-orders that we expect to start shipping after that." Seriously if they know they can make 150 Gh's a week and they've got 2000 backers left, it's going to take 13 weeks to get them cleared out. What is so hard about that???

I just recieved my replacement backend and mouthpiece (the backend worked just fine but got hot, sometimes really hot and the mouthpiece had nothing in it, no heat protection cone or screen.)
I was perfectly happy with my hopper the way it was, couldn't be bothered less with the hot back end
and had mcgyvered my own screen.
Those guys at hopper labs are really doing all they can to make the perfect vape with the
perfect service and they are getting very very close to both of them.
I wouldn't look too deep in some of the few qc problems there were, just think about it...
these guys, in their early 20's, invented what, at this moment and for me, is the perfect vape.
They not only tried to produce this invention but they damn well nailed it. Then, they ran into some
trouble and had to move to Colorado...don't forget, they are still early 20.
Now they are in Colorado, land of the free (when it comes to mj) and they know they have an awesome
product, designed for vaping what is in abundance overthere...cut those guys some slack, if it was me,
hardly any vapes would get finished, believe me, it's working THAT good.

I just wanted to shine some sun during the rain overhere.

I think it's more the worry of all the issues they are correcting using too much money and ruining them, not so much the vape not being up to par or whatnot. I think most of us here know its a solid vape when you get a working unit and we know they will fix any issues, but I think most people are worried they are using too much money sending units back and forth, etc.

What's the thinking on this: Is it better for the battery to be left in the hopper and on the charger even long after it's done charging... OORRRR charging the battery in the hopper and taking the battery out if it's not going to be used for awhile?
What's better for the battery: in hopper/not charging? in hopper/charged? out of hopper/charged?
Basically, would it be bad for the battery to leave it connected to the charger all the time to keep it topped off? Or if that's bad for it, what's the ideal scenario?

To any owners of the anodized ti units, do you find that the clip scratches the unit, like when you're removing the battery?

I don't have mine yet, but I saw a photo of the bronze? colored one, which indeed has a silver-ish ring around it where the clip's point makes contact with the hopper's body. I'm guessing that's what yours looks like?

EDIT: I plan to remove the clip from my colored Ti & coat that part with a thin layer of high temperature silicone dip (leaving the collar bare). That should do the trick.

I don't have a gh but for anything battery powered its not good to leave it plugged in because it shortens the lifespan. You shouldn't let the battery become fully discharged either if possible. If you're not using it for a while you should store your battery about half capacity I believe.

It would be like comparing apples and oranges. They are two different types of vaporizer. The GH is an on demand one hitter. The Solo is a session vape, it's on for 10 min then it turns itself off. It 's good to have different vaporizers for different occasions. Save the Solo for home use or if you are on the go and need a vape session.

The GH would be good to have if you needed just a quick one or 2 draws and you needed stealth, then you put it away for later.

For the few of us who might need this, I translated the manual into German.
I heard it's needed for the German Customs Office.

I also made a thread on Reddit for more information if needed: https://www.reddit.com/r/GrassHopperVape/comments/3l8426/image_i_translated_the_manual_into_german/

Edit: use at your own risk, this isn't the official version, keep that in mind.

interesting. So storing fully charged or fully dead are also not good ideas?
