It's maybe been in Development on and off for four years but they just started Production a short time ago, big difference. Now they gotta work out the early mass production bugs. Give it time and wish 'em the best if you don't have a horse in the race, That's what I'm doin' anyways.

and hats off to those like dormouse and Mynameismud for staying faithful for a few years and others who took a chance on the first Production run of the mivape, hope you all have working models soon.

that first image is a computer rendition and the photos are of the actual production unit. Vaporfection said they "added resistance" to the lid part so it doesn't feel as flimsy so the new models may look slightly different.

Regarding your question about kief, I think this vape will do it, I've had great success with other concentrates but you may need to put down one of the wax cloths in the bottom so the kief doesn't fall through the holes of the cup but I think it will definitely do it.

I returned the non working unit via UPS about 2 weeks ago... anyone else? I have never owned a vaporizer before.. this is my first. I am a little nervous about the outcome on this.

The units first released had known problems (like all first run electronics) Those problems have been fixed and new units are expected to be shipped after 9/16/15 Stay tuned...

Yes, they will be available on our website along with quartz cups, silicone saftey cups, batteries, waxy oil cloth, screens and usb chargers.

I received an email says they would have the new units in there warehouse by 9/16 and will beginning shipping as soon as they have them. Anyone else received that info? I am a newbie to this site and to vaping... Hello to everyone!

Your right... it does say the 18th of September... guess just anxious to receive a working unit.

That's how I understood it too, lets hope they ship out this week! I am really looking forward to the improved miVape, I liked the first version but it was a little flimsy and I couldn't really use many different temperatures without over vaping the herb, although it worked great with concentrates.

According to vaporfection about the new miVape; The flip top and battery door are much stronger, the mouthpiece is way easier to insert/remove, the batteries come out easier and the software has been fixed and is working much better. Also, all the boxes will be shrink-wrapped for better protection and we also retooled the covers to have the logo recessed as opposed to raised.

One thing you dont have to worry about is vaporfections customer service... you will have a updated working unit hopefully shortly as will the rest of us

I spoke to Dan ( a great guy!) at Vaporfection this morning. He said they are still waiting on the units to arrive. So looks like its gonna be another week at least... patiences is a virtue :)
