Discontinued Haze Dual V3

OK folks...I hate to rain on the positive vibes of everyone doing their happy dance about their new V3's but I just had to put this out there. I won't be naming names but it is possible this person is a member of FC.

This is an example of how NOT to maintain your Haze....

Sorry the picture is sideways but it's irrelevant when you look at the shot.

Notice the stainless caps have fallen off. That's because when I opened the door the yuck in the bowl stuck to it. Also notice the exposed wires. This user claimed it cracked open while in use.

Here is another one....
apqpsHZ.jpg

The silicone cover is completely gone.

All this added up tells me that this device probably was never cleaned. And forget about cans to keep the chamber clean, I don't think they even used screens!

What's worse is this wasn't the only one that arrived in bad shape (but it was the nastiest). Even worse than that, this is an upgrade so how are we supposed to repurpose this? I already did actually. It's holding down my trash can. God I hope @Vitolo never got stuff like this is the past.....

Why do I post? Well I'm putting everyone on notice. We are a generous company but we will not let folks take advantage of it. In the future we will not honor upgrades or warranty if units are received like this. If you need help with care and maintenance, we are there for you but this is neglect plain and simple.

Sorry if this sounds harsh but I nearly lost my lunch over this one!

I wonder how often this person complained about the mouthpiece sticking?

I like to futz, so I get great pleasure from cleaning my tools. I actually have been itching to get my hands on a lazy friend's pipes because I think they are foul and will be so much fun to clean. I have a jar of ISO in my bathroom that comes out at least every other night to swab some tool or other.

It looks like it was dropped in in a camp fire....or a blow torch was taken to it. Clearly the unit was never cleaned or taken care of at all.

Better yet it looks like someone used the vape chambers as bowls and combust through it with a lighter.
I've never seen a vape in that condition in my life. It hurts to look at!:uhoh:

How can this unit be paid forward to someone in need.

Shrike

Flower Potted, Maxed, & Rio'd.
People never cease to amaze me!:bang:

How can someone possibly send a Haze back to you guys in that condition and expect a new one in return?
I think you'll need to update the PIF program to reflect the minimum standards you expect. Maybe some pictures of returned units that show what shape they need to be in?

There will always be the abusers...sad that they care so little about a fantastic program and the help it brings to those who really can use it.

Damn, that's awful. I scrubbed the hell out of my 2.5 warranty return and still felt bad that I couldn't get the chambers shiny before sending it out, and that wasn't even a PIF!

On the colored mouthpieces, I think it would be cool if they were sold as an optional accessory, but @ double length for even smoother vapor. I appreciate the portability of the nesting mouthpieces, but mine sees mostly home use. Probably not a popular request, but I'd buy one.

My OCD is in effect just looking at that thing! Those chambers are killing me haha. I agree with tweaks to the PIF program. These 2.5s are supposed to go to people in need, and not a trash can smh. I felt bad with mine having scratches. I'd never send something like that in without informing Haze.

I hope that many units don't come in like that. Pretty nasty. I feel that many FC members frequently are more on the OCD cleanliness side, especially with all the advice on cleaning in the threads.

I agree with @mixchu69 I doubt that unit was from an FC member.

We love, cherish, and take care of our vapes. My V2.5s still look like they've never been used I keep them so clean!

That is just a dam shame ruining a perfectly good vaporizer like that....:disgust:

So you got mine in....

Yea right! I'd be embarrassed to send that in! Espically for the PIF program, as everyone else has said. But that's just obnoxious.

Defiantly a much needed addition to the PIF terms. Also Scott no apology is needed for that post. If anything that was the nicest way to put it.

Luckily some asshole like me isn't in charge there lol. I would just send that unit back in a brand new box and call it a day. I'd rather refund the $100 than let that person abuse another haze ever again.

Don't know what gave you that idea :D on that note...

I'm wrapping some cotton around a toothpick right now for this dirty girl ;)

I'm going to wait a while for the upgrade program, I'm in no hurry so will wait till the rush is over.

@scottg402 I did have a couple questions about the upgrade program, the first might have been answered and I could just be having a mental block but is the program open to those outside the U.S. ? The second is if I can do it what would be the deal with the battery's ? I know there were restrictions on air travel with these kind of cells but it's been a while since I looked into that.

I hope you do not mind, but that photo was priceless, so I stole it to repost on another social media platform so I could say how I really felt.

This particular unnamed platform is a lot of photos and some of the unwashed rigs gross me out but I do not dab, so I figure that is par for the course, but this...OMG...my Haze looks NOTHING like this travesty.:cry:

@UnshavenFish how do you get the chambers so clean? I use ISO and qtip, sometimes a pipe cleaner and cannot get the baked on stain off!

wow... just wow, I sat here looking at it trying to figure how I could possibly make my Haze look like that, and I came up with nothing... that is disturbing and almost unbelievable that someone thought that was good to send in.

I totally agree that y'all should send it back with a nice little note

After all of the help we Haze users have received from Haze, all the support and good will the company has put forth, it would embarrass me down to my very soul to return something like that. I would rather pay the extra to buy a new one than face that kind of embarrassment. I used screens as well as cans so there was some tarnish in the heating chambers but otherwise, my return looked almost new. I babied the hell out of that thing. I used it daily and cleaned it at least two to three times a week. How could someone treat a fine piece of equipment like that? Im embarrassed myself just looking at that picture. So sorry, Scott. Unfortunately no matter how big a group you're dealing with there's always a few a-holes in the group.

Seriously, whats your secret? Inquiring minds want to know!

I'll have to get back to you on these. I know postage is the issue for both of us on the upgrade so it makes it kind of tough. As for the batteries and travel, we ship international so I know there's a way.

And damn Fish, how do you get them so clean?

A good way to bring the chambers back to new is to use a brass bristle cleaning tool (dad in law had a gun cleaning set he gave me). I use them once in a while with my pax2. They act like steel wool but won't scratch the stainless steel. I brought my og pax back from the grave with these. The chamber was stained and gummed in the corners and it looks brand new now.

Believe it or not all I use is a qtip and a wooden tooth pick with a little cotton wrapped around the tip for the channels, I do all my cleaning straight after a session (not every session but everyone I can) while everything is hot and easy to remove, I can't remember ever using ISO with my haze I might have but if I have it could have only been once or twice or I would remember.

If ISO isn't working and you have really tough spots magic eraser would be what I would use, it worked a treat on my Vapman bowl and haze cans, if you do use it just wet it a little then squeeze the water out so its just a little damp, then after cleaning just give the bowl an ISO wipe then do a burn off to make sure everything is gone before using the haze.

If I'm recommending magic eraser I should mention...some people think it's safe to use and some don't,
I don't want to open a :worms: but... I personally don't have any worries using it, but this is something each person should research and make their own informed decision about.

I started typing this almost an hour ago  (no more dabs for me :ko:) and in that time I have cleaned my chambers using magic eraser and now they are clean, I know they look clean in the pic but mainly on the left chamber it was starting to get marks if you look close (I'm using an old phone so pics not best quality)

Hey guys so I have had my Haze for a couple months. Me and my girlfriend use the device and usually only use the chamber with the filled in circle or the one on the outside with the conduction screens. Generally we start at temp setting 2 and finish of on 3 if needed. Abv comes out nice and evenly light brown to dark brown depending on how far we take it :)

The last couple times I have tried using the other chamber, the one in the middle of the unit or with the unfilled circle. Again using the conduction screens starting on temp setting two, after 6-8 pulls i noticed a smoke/vapor rising from the mouth piece and the abv is comming out almost black on the sides and greenish brown on the top. Almost like it is getting too hot and combusting. It never has done this with the other chamber.

Is this normal or has anyone else had issues like this? Is the inside oven only for the cans or something?

If you have black ash that crumbles to a dust like consistency, youre likely getting too much heat in that 2nd chamber. Posting some pics so we can see what youre getting would help but what you describe does not sound normal.
