Just wanted to say that I got my vapcap and had some minor issues that led to bigger problems. I believe they are related to tolerances, but the end result is that I lost my diffuser disc, so I only got to use my vape once before the loose diffuser disc jumped out onto the floor and was lost forever. The inner tube, when properly seated, was a fraction of a mm too long, and made it tough to seat the diffuser disc in the scored part of the main body tube. I should have contacted George before trying to use it, but I just couldn't help trying to use my new vape and report my findings here. I sent @VapCap a PM after an hour of combing the floor (literally), so I hope I can get a replacement diffuser disc and get vap-ing again ASAP. Sucks just staring at this damn thing instead of using it (though I guess some tear down pics might be in order...)!

This is my assumption, but maybe after seeing other threads like the Grasshopper where there is a ton of delays and frustrated customers, George and Dynavap may have decided they want to do things differently and are awaiting the ability to take orders and then ship in a timely manner before taking addition customer funds.

Again, this is just my speculation after meeting George. He is a stand up guy, and certainly seems to have customer interest first and foremost.

Right, that may very well be. But it would be smart to let us know that, rather than just not being available. We here know what the delay likely is, but customers elsewhere might just think he doesn't notice or care that his site is broken. That is NOT good.
A notice on the page "We have temporarily paused sales to catch up on orders. We will be right back" is a message that users would appreciate and understand, I would think.

That being said, I will be jumping on that site as soon as its available... ;)

Then to his site once it was up, which I last ordered from and still nothing. So if he's still filling orders he must be really behind. Plus I notice his lack of presence here. I get he has other shit going on but like @cybrguy said an update wouldn't hurt. I'm not knocking him so don't take it like that, just adding my situation to the mix.

Who said he is filling orders? He said mid Sept he expects to receive the production caps, he can then start filling orders.

Some have received it who paid for the "I want it fast" option, which means hand manufactured parts.

I was speculating on someone's speculation lol.

The point of the post was the lack of reasoning on his site, not why I didn't get mine yet.

I have plenty of vapes to hold me over. Plus I'm not worried cuz my order is placed. I didnt mean to upset you bud, sorry.

Had a perfect session and boy, does this thing work on me! I initially had a problem with the metal cap feeling a bit too big on the glass part of the vc and it would fall off easily so I messaged George asking about tips for bending it back and he quickly responded letting me know that I should push the cap in but not too much or else it will become too large the other way. After like 45 seconds of bending it for the perfect fit, I found the perfect fit on the glass again that stays on! I used the butane lighter and it works beautifully with the vape! A standard lighter can take a while to actually heat of the vc but it can still be done and still vapes the material fully!

I understand a lot of you are waiting for product, but I believe we are still weeks and weeks away from expected delivery. I know it makes it more difficult when we see the product in a limited number of people's hands. I am lucky with this product, but have been on the other end wondering what the manufacturer was doing with other vapes. It is part of these early investments, or vapes that have a ton of demand and limited production capabilities. Shit, then we start to wonder if the manufacturer is playing "favorites" to who gets their order first. Been there.

But in this case, we still have not surpassed the expected delivery date so relax for a few weeks. This is the reason we got a stellar intro price.

If you got in board before paypal shut down feel free to vent, bitch, and lob stones, come November 1st, 2015 ala FC tradition. In the mean time, relax and puff another vape.

Greetings everyone,

I apologize for the lack of presence here the past week or so. I am still dealing with an excruciatingly slow process of setting up the payment gateway for the website. I have been working with 2 different companies to try to speed up the process. If all goes well I should be able to accept payments by the end of the week. The payment is further delayed and made more ugly by the high risk categorization these companies want to throw me into. This is the reason why square would likely shut me down just like paypal did. Please understand I am working on it and on top of it all, I still have another job, until I get more of these VapCaps out there and they catch on around the world. I invite everyone to message me with any concerns or questions. I try to respond quickly. I am very grateful for all the support on this project and very much look forward to getting production and ordering up and running.

Oh and I am putting the finishing touches on the patent work for the next generation units. :)

October for early birds.
November for the rest.

I think these will easily be delivered on time. That's the beauty of a KISS design.

Oh and I am putting the finishing touches on the patent work for the next generation units. :)

But I want gen2 now! :tup: Looking forward to what else you think up next.

I placed my order through the website after the igg was shut down. The cart page there still reads "Any orders are estimated to be fulfilled and shipped in mid September 2015. Thank You!". That and the expected delivery of caps that was holding things up led me to believe orders might ship this week.

I have no problem with a waiting longer if there's a different delivery timeframe, but an updated estimate would be much appreciated and help temper my anticipation. Can you give us a ballpark @VapCap ?

I don't want to get my hopes up, I pre-ordered the Woody Ti. I'm going to stay pessimistic to avoid any chance of disappointment. Would be nice though... If another Woody pre-orderer says they got the same email, then I'd have more hope. MyUPS gives early warning anytime someone sends something to my address, so others may not get that notification if they don't subscribe to that service.

I believe George and Dynavap only ships USPS so i wouldn't get your hopes up. I don't think UPS is very cost effective for small items anyway.

I got a similar unexpected MyUSPS notification about a shipment from Kenosha, WI and soon enough found a vapcap in my mailbox! I preordered both original and wood/Ti though... maybe you'll have the first woody in the wild!

Sorry guys, false alarm, new information now has me believe this is a package from Amazon that has been delayed, hence why it was something not on the radar. I can wait for my woody....

Sorry, I think you're right; I was looking at the wrong email. Vapcap came from a Different town in WI!
