We're going to be re-stocking the short plain jane soon. It is not a Tooty in that it is not blown. Just a 5" straight glass tube with a 14 mm GonG on one end. They do work very well with a short GonG stem.
We like the Tooty without the carb as it is just easier to use. I will ship yours tomorrow, sublime, so if you change your mind..........
Tupac, welcome to Zapville and the fun we have here on this thread. If you have any questions, there is lots of help here. Glad you are a happy Zappy.

OK, the word is out FC. I'm mostly caught up on orders so did a little turning and buffing. I will be putting a handful or so up over the next hour or two. After 4:20 today..........

edit:wooooooooweeeeeee....page 299.
Hows about a quickie contest. I like quickies.
Last post on this page(299) gets a CRZ(my choice)
And hell, to make it fair, same with the first post on page 300. I must be feeling generous. This idea happened when I saw page 299.
Welcome to Zapville and the Eternal Now Moment.
Let 'er rip
My choice on how soon I ship too.......... Must be different members for last page 299 and first page 300 winners. Please, just real posts on AZ. No funny games with big file pics, etc. Non US winner, if any will pay for extra shipping only.

I haven't had any trouble with the carbs. Funny.... different strokes for different folks. However, I did have Rick make one with the carb on the other side for me. Maybe that's what made the difference. I was having trouble with the one I had before.

Or maybe I have man hands.... :uhoh:

So my Walnut LOG CRZ came in today and I have to say I am very impressed. I am digging the new finish and really like the slimmed down feel of the unit. Here is a little zap porn for you....

Sorry about the quality of the photos. Still shopping around for a camera and only have my Iphone to use. The camera really doesn't do the piece justice.

Both wood stems are really nice. The dark one is Walnut and the lighter Oak. The Oak is the exact size to fit a 14mm female gong attachment and really looks nice sitting on top of glass.

One question I had for veteran zap owner. I ordered two short tapered gong stems to use but neither fits my bubbler. They are both very loose and just fall all the way through. Do I need another attachment to use these stems with my 14mm bubbler? Any help would be really appreciated.

Really glad to be back in the Zap family. Once my Hi comes in tomorrow I will run comparison tests with the CRZ, UD, and HI.

Very nice and loving those shapely stems Gonzo, where are they from?

Also, just a quickie for Rick...I know you wont send Zaps overseas, but what about the Tite Kit and Screen Replacement Kit?

I got the stems from Rick as well, I believe they are the last two wood stems to come out of Zapville. Feeling lucky that I asked Rick about them when I did.

Nice pics Gonzo.
The deal on the 14mm GonG stems is I am using stock sized tubing, 1/2" OD because I ran out of the oversize stuff. Just talked to my stem stock gal yesterday and I will be getting some oversized stem stock for the short GonG stems soon. They will not slide through. The ones you have will work on many 14 mm GonG joints but will slide through some that have a shorter taper.
Whoever has a problem, hang in there. When the new stock comes in I will announce it on FC and replace any problem stems.
Edit: Nothing small over the water either. Those are the ones that get lost often. Email me and I will tell you what to get at your home.

Kudos, they are lovely. I just ordered a couple from Ed's TnT, but I really like those figures...like shapely female forms :brow:

Oooh, just saw Ricks post at the top of the page....NICE! Fingers crossed!

Ok, thanks Rick, I will email you about the Tite Kit.

Thanks Rick, I didn't even read your previous post until after I had posted. The wood stem fits great so I am having fun using that with the bubbler for now. I'm finding out that packing technique plays a part in cloud size. Still experimenting but so far I have to say I am sad there will be no more wood stems. I have fallen in Love with both of them.

Edit* Rick, if you have any more wood stems, I will take two. Keeping my fingers crossed. Gotta get them before their gone.

I finally ordered a clear tooty. Wish I had just ordered it when I ordered my zap as Deez recommended me to do. I ordered with a carb hole. What are your thoughts on the tooty carbs? Yay or nay?

Contests notwithstanding, I did want to answer this question. I got the carbed tooty with my crz, and I love it. It's my go-to, like it way better than the stem. It just tastes better through the glass to me. Now I have not tried the non-carbed tooty, but the carb is kind of nice, and I have long fingers, so I can actually one-hand it with a little creative fingering.

OMG! Creative fingering!.........here we go.....
Needless to say, new CRZs up on the site are a bit behind schedule but still coming.
I thought about....."no current CRZ owners"....but that would eliminate way too many folks.
I have a couple beauties picked.....little beauties....
Edit:
Sorry Gonzo, you already got more than your share of the wood stems. Besides, the one or two left are claimed. We may have more but I doubt it.

Do you have any wood stems left Rick? If so I would like 2. Really enjoying both the wood stems.

Thanks, THC. I'm really enjoying it. Can't wait to get the HI tomorrow and really compare the current log vape front runners (IMO).

Well I suppose if I don't like the tooty w/carb I will just have to order another w/o carb. In sure Rick will be ok with that

Rick- thanks or the offer to switch but I think either way I will end up owning both tootys eventually so what order I get them in really doesn't matter to me I suppose. :brow:

Man this site is addicting! I have truly expanded my knowledge base about 500% over the course of a few days. I was dead set on getting an LSV as replacement for my SSV/N02 combo and now discovered a world of awesome variety. Now I am obsessed with researching log vapes and I think I am going to pick up both a log CRZ and a HI (wife permitting). I can't wait to see what new logs you have rolling out Rick, I'm sure they will be killer!

Keep that zap train chugging Rick. All three of my Zaps are on and getting frequent use. The whip you made for me is looking dirty in the tube.
Can you point me in the direction of where to buy more silicone tubing for it and the size. That would be awesome.
My lovely lady pretty much only uses the zap and whip. I give it a regular toke too!

Offered this to the missus last night and she point blank refused! I wonder why - I mean I was playing PS3 at the time ;) Sorry, some one had to!

But on a more serious note: I'm sure this has been gone through many times before and I'm honestly not being lazy - on p128 of this thread and will read all - but what oil, wax or wood treatment do people use on their Zaps. I cant get any ZaPolish, so what are my alternatives. I am using a Bees wax/Carnauba at the moment with my MFLB - is that good for my Zap?

Question for you genius types; a friend of mine has a really nice gong for a PD, would that work with a CRZ? The bowl side is S/S and the rest is glass throughout.

Mister,
Hey, guys im new here...thinking about finally getting a CRZ! I have a couple questions for you guys though if you wouldn't mind!

Earlier on in this thread, people were talking about the densities of the wood having an effect on the draw temperature...and I'm wondering if the denser woods like walnut are "better" or if I should go for something lighter? Whats are the pros and cons, if any, or just your preference?

Also, I'm wondering if you guys think that getting a glass tooty would be worth it? Does it cool the vapor down a significant amount?
