@Shit Snacks Stop!!! You're killing me. 21 days to October!!!
VAS on steroids now.

What kind of technology allows it to be so powerful, and go so long on just a 2 batts?

Secret technology! (for now anyway) lol

Its fairly simple actually, the design and the tech, so I think that plays a big factor in battery useage as well. Large surface area for the heater helps with the efficiency for one thing

Sorry to keep teasing you so! :D

you're freaking killing me, but honestly, what is "long life".... really like double a mighty or solo? can i really make the entire day?

BTW - are you really an Archer fan? I'm a crazy fan, saw every episode dozens of times. Favorite line, "What is diabetes on vacation?"

My method for concentrates on the Zion involves using a SS coil from the UpTech Hercules. I have to distort the coil to block the center hole so the coil fills the stem. Then...
Thanks @DieHard for sharing that video! I think many of us are very happy to see when zion usage videos pop up.

I am curious if the hercules coil provides any benefit over a volcano (or vg or otherwise) liquid pad.

I also agree that @Shit Snacks is just making this wait harder. But I'm not convinced that you are sorry to do it. ;):D

Could i get some information on the single battery unit?

I'm on rbt's website bit there's very little in the way of how to operate the units and what sets them apart from each other. What can i expect in terms of battery life?

How does one load and pack the zion? I see pictures of blocks with the stem exposed and the wooden "latch" or whatever not attached. Can this latch or cover slide over the stem?

Haha yeah, well, honestly its harder to measure in the same way you would and Solo or Mighty, bc they are doing set length sessions, easy to track. Here its on demand, only using power while pressing the button, and not very much. The hits are stronger in general with on demand convection too, so while a Solo may not last you all day a Zion could... There are just more variables at play here but it amounts to more efficiency just based on how it works vs those devices...

@Traaaaan battery life even trickier to gauge there, especially bc we don't have betas in the wild for that one yet, but should be similarly efficient judging by the dual battery manual unit's reports from @IAmKrazy2 and @HD Springer, there is a dedicated thread for each unit here with the most info asofnow, but it is still early. Basically what sets it apart is that Zion has more control available, more systematically with a chip and voltage control. The single batt unit runs at a set voltage and is direct off the battery so starts hot and gets cooler as battery dies, but that just means longer or shorter preheat depending, and/or pulsing the button can work too. It's basically just even more manual, unregulated, more bare bones yet stealthier and still got the power

Haha yeah @fluffhead it is kind of a pleasure, helping to spread the word of a vape I'm sure many of us will be enjoying for years to come...

And yeah @Bravesst ofcourse love Archer, seen the first 3 seasons countless times, so many great one liners and running gags, so much great TV out there now, its been one of my top comedies for a while though

I see. I am hoping for something that i can slip into my pocket for easy access. How securely does the stem stay in place?

I have an arizer air and at first i was hesitant to slip the whole thing in my pocket because i thought the glass stem would come out and or possibly break. Fast forward however many months I've had it and i dont think twice about throwing the air in a bag or in my pocket because the stem has proven to be very secure.

Im currently working my way backwords through this thread and only at page 80.

Yeah it's pretty secure, tight 18mm us glass joint, and there may even be a locker to keep stem inserted too. We'll know more once Zion production gets up and running

Awesome. Also, whats with all of the names people are giving their units? Are these the beta test units? I've been through the mflb, air, solo and enano threads and havent seen anyone else name their vapes.

Sorry for all of the questions, vas has got me and i am genuinely interested in this vape.

Haha yeah no worries dude, the naming had just begun with the alphas of the Zion, and then we (the Zion10 beta team) kept up the tradition. Simple as that, naming em ourselves for fun

Again, anyone interested in checking out a video demo of the Zion heater tech in action featuring my Dual Unregulated Powerhouse check for the post number in my signature and go to the corresponding thread.

My plan is to do my part by getting a video up for ya'll on the production Zion, Single battery, and any updated powerhouse versions once I have them in my hand. It is the least i can do for RBT, Karma, the other testers, and my FC Family.

Plus i greatly enjoyed making my first two beta videos. First ones i made since i beta tested for VapeXHale years ago. Unscripted Krazy videos. Had no idea what i was going to say ahead of time and just started rambling. That's what you will get from me, unscripted vapor thoughts.

No, it's 35A, not 20. And if you don't buy from their site, make sure you don't get fooled as they sell 18650 with the exact same markings as on RBT site in both 20A and 35A varieties.
Thanks man. I was pretty sure 35A were meant for pulse and not continuously..?
Can you link to a Zion suitable 35A battery? Only found 20A LGs and nowhere 35As.

That's what I think. As I linked here earlier (can't find it quickly) even the official LG data sheet does not state there's a 35A max burst for the 20A (HE4). It's supposed to be capable tho.

Only 35A cell I could find is an efest (60 A burst).
Wonder how much A are drawn when the Zion is @ 100%. Think 20A will be sufficient anyways? To be realistic you d hardly go that high, at least with flowers...

I should know, shame on me for not though. I deal more with optimizing the physical layout and packaging of the components so I'm really more focused on the size of things and their relationships to each other in space. Electrons scare me so I just kind of stay outside of all that. I'll sound pretty stupid if I try to fake any electrical knowledge. I'll see what I can find out for ya though!

Hahha... Still a good one. It's all about the ..errm..

@phattpiggie: hey mate! Yeahs that's almost the one I'm talking about (HE4 and HE2 only differ slightly - for those who're interested: http://batterybro.com/blogs/18650-w...n-the-lg-he2-and-lg-he4-which-is-newer-better).
They're both 20A continuos.

Here's the HE4 prod spec (https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0674/3651/files/LG18650_HE4.PDF?828)
Sellers don't seem to declare them accordingly. They praise it as a 35A max. discharge current (http://www.vapordna.com/LG-18650HE4-35A-2500mAh-Battery-p/lg0001.htm) or a 30A max pulse discharge current.
Quite irritating and most likely not correct.

The world of the 18650 is more than irritating. It is only made worse by over exaggeration and sometimes blatant deception. RBT will be along and I am sure he will put everyones mind to rest over this issue. It's early days and everyone who's placed an order will be buzzing their tits off with anticipation but all will be answered and probably re-answered.
