V2 Pro Series 3/QuickDraw 300

What does that mean?
Hi guys, I'm in the market for a new vape and am trying to decide between this and the Quickdraw. I'm a light user with only one vape (I've had an MFLB for 3+ years) and prefer to take a few tokes here and there which is why I like the idea of getting a pen style vape that I can easily transport. On the Grasshopper website it says that the vapes won't actually be shipped until at the earliest December if I order now but I've heard fantastic things which makes waiting seem like it might make more sense. Does anyone have any experience with the Quickdraw/V2?

There's a forum here for that one:

http://fuckcombustion.com/threads/v2-pro-series-3-quickdraw-300.14053/page-8

Haven't tried it myself cause I'm biased against repurposed e-cig tech, seems like a world of heavily rebranded coil-style crap, but lot's of reviews there to get first-hand accounts. If you're looking for a cheapo conduction vaporizer, the Flowermates are reliably reviewed and less hassle than your MFLB w/ better flower features - temp settings, larger capacity bowl - than the Quickdraw.

The Grasshopper is potentially a big step above with it's powerful convection heat, it's got a unique feature set with the small form factor and temp adjustable one-hitter capabilities, that's why we're all waiting. If you're fine w/ MFLB: wait. If you want something easier to use that's available now (but still a slow session vape like the MFLB and most portables currently available) and not too $$: Flowermate 5.0s or Pro or Mini. Otherwise, I'd say wait until Grasshopper (or something from the Zion folks) is available.

@octo The quickdraw 300DLX is actually a pretty decent personal portable vape. The wax cart works pretty decent too. If you vape tinctures the E-juice cart works very well.
It has a stainlees steel chamber, like a smaller boss, but with quick change cartridges.
Heres my review of the quickdraw 300 DLX

Thanks for the suggestions guys. Since I have no real issues with the MFLB, I think I'll wait and buy the Grasshopper because it just seems like it's going to be the best portable pen on the market and it's way less expensive than the Pax 2.

Just be aware, there's a decent chance you'll be waiting a few months (my estimate would be december).

I estimate longer than December. As of right now they have given out confirmations to 20th and 21st users, they are still shipping to 20th users, from what it looks like it takes half a month to get through a day of backers.

I agree with your decision to wait for the gh. At least as compared to the v2 pro. I have the series 3, not the QuickDraw, but I never use it. I just didn't care for it. It was a real pain to load, and just didn't do a great job for me. I think the gh will be worth the wait. And if you have serious VAS, I think there are better bang for the buck vapes on the market.

I keep this for a spare. It got me truly into vaporizing habitually so I give it props for that, but after getting my Haze I didn't realize how lacking it really was.

First I never used it for anything but dry herb. I felt it wasn't worth trying the other cartridges on a cheap item and possibly break it. Except with very strong herb, there really isn't enough room to get you totally off with one session, and my battery never gave me more than one session of about 10-15 min. The vapor quality is OK, a lot better than my cheap crap pens I had which was part combustion, but it isn't terrific. The size is nice and it is easy to use. I liked it, but had to supplement my vaping with smoking which was not what I had in mind when I got it.

My need to still combust with it was mostly because of a messed up battery system. I often had to charge the battery about 4-6 hours to get a full session again. It was very inconsistent that way. Sometimes 3-4 hours of charging would get me my 15 min, sometimes it needed 8. I never had to replace the pen, but I understand other users have had a full charge from about 1-2 hours. I could get a few draws after 15-20 min, but that doesn't make it for me. So having the sole option of using one, attached, irreplaceable, and temperamental battery was a big draw back. It also doesn't tell you when it's fully ready, you have to guess. It only tells you when you can take a few puffs again

Worse, in the nine months or so I used this regularly I must have replaced the dry herb cartridge about every six to eight weeks. The last one did last quite a long time compared to the others so perhaps they are better made now, but I swear it just kept falling apart one way or another. I would try gluing it back together, but things just kept coming apart, it's not well made.

Of course no replacements were ever sent to me, and I had to wait a long time as I didn't know of the Quickdraw version of this and just used the V2 site.

So OK would I recommend this to a person with a very small budget new to vaping? I guess so, because it is so easy to use, but I would have them buy the Quickdraw from a trusted vapor store. Because of the battery and size issues, it really isn't a good all vape option, but perhaps a good way to transition someone from combustion to vaping. I also have now learned about things like the Magic Flight Box, which though I have not used, seems like a much better machine for the extra $50 or so. Still now that I got a superb piece like Haze V3 I won't ever look back to the V2 except in an emergency.

Just an update on my Quickdraw 300, as some of you heard when I first ordered I got a broken one, it started combusting my herb in the first week. VapeWorld helped me get a new one. Now a few months later and after a good 30-40 uses it is combusting again. I notice this is no longer sold, I guess there was too many returns.

While I since tried it with tincture liquid, and it can hold a lot, I think this vape is just not up to standard anymore. My Storm pens leave it in the dust for one. This V3 got me into vaping over combusting so I have memories that are good, but I would not use this anymore for quality reasons.

Man @octo don't get this. Now that I have the MFLB it is 20 times the machine this is. Seriously avoid this. I think the GH will be the first decent pen. The Storm is good but not a pen really.

I use my V2 for my co2 oil carts and the magnet just came loose. Anyone have any clue what kind of glue would be safe to glue it back in place? Any clue where I can get food safe high temp resistant glue? I would ask in a thread more general to adhesives and such but it appears those have not been visited for a long time either.

Ah finally someone else has the same problem as mine. I have had at least 4 times where the ring magnet came stuck with the cartridge. V2 Pro replaced it first few times, last time they said they wont. I tried to use a high heat rated JB weld, I thought I did a good job on sticking the magnet back, but the circuitry or something got messed up and it does not turn green anymore. I really wanted to like this product but the ring magnet coming unglued happened over and over and I am surprised others have not seen it and V2 has not updated the glue that works.

Hey guys I don't blog much so cut me some slack here...but I just wanted to say I LOVE this pen...the dry herb cartridge works great but I will say that it's imperative u use quality DRY product and despite what the directions say I found it wored best with finely ground herb and packed nice and tight but not so tight u couldn't hit It and I would blow straight clouds

I'm a fan of this device. Its not high quality or anywhere near best testing vape BUT it is awfully convenient and stealthy. I like the cartridge system and I bought several spares. I love the little cleaning kit and I use the little tools and the funnel all the time with other devices.
I also fill the spare cartridges and put them in the cleaning kit when I go out and about.
It certainly has it's place for me, for an inexpensive portable it's not bad at all.

I just used superglue and it is still working.

edit: I was not worried about food safety since the magnet ring is external to the vapor flow.

Just got this Quickdraw 300 as a freebie from a deal by Vapeworld and trying to figure out how to make use of it. I had originally planned to use this vape like others that use pre-filled, disposable cartridges (CO2 oil carts?), and I'm having trouble figuring out if this is possible. Can this vape directly take the pre-filled oil carts, easily found in most medshops?

If not, how can I use this vape using the same oil that comes in those pre-filled cartridges? I am aware that some shops might sell the oil in a pre-filled syringe. I'm thinking that the syringe can be used to fill the QD300 L-cart, but they aren't as easily found in medshops as the disposable carts. What other common forms can I purchase the oil used in those pre-filled carts?

The pre-filled carts will not work directly on this vape. You can fill the liquid cart with the same oil as whats in the pre-filled carts. You can also empty the pre-filled carts with a syringe. Just make sure its got the thin metal point. Then you can use that syringe to dump it into the Quickdraw 300.

Perfect, thanks!! Have you ever run into any problems using the liquid cart for the oil? I've read that some oils can gunk up the coils, making it so you have to replace the cartridges every now and then.

I recall them being leaky after so many refills but my brother used it for strictly co2 oil that comes in the pre-filled carts for several monthes with just 2 carts and they still worked fine for him.

Seem to be having issues getting the thing to heat up. I hold down the button for two seconds. Light goes red for like five seconds...and then goes out. It's unlocked, cartridge is inserted...but the red light never gets to white or green. Anyone have any ideas?

I know this is from a while ago, but I'm having the exact same problem with my v2 pro series 3...with the loose leaf cartridge attached, i hold the button down for 3 seconds to activate it and it goes red for maybe 5 seconds but then just shuts right off, no yellow or green. Can't seem to figure out anything to fix it - any ideas?
