The 8 definitely is not a plug n play mod. I really think @SamuraiSam or @THC SCIENTIFIC should make a video demonstrating proper adjustment/assembly. I also think the user manual should be changed to reflect this. It took me awhile to master and still the 8 requires periodic adjustments.

Now that I have mastered it I do find that I use it the most out of all my mods. I like the heft and enjoy the ability to adjust finger pressure on the button to hit the sweet spot when firing a cart. To a certain extent I think there will always be a trade off between ease of use and versatility/reliability. The 8 probably falls to far in the latter end of the spectrum for most users. It's something I love but it's not what I recommend to most of my friends especially mod novices.

It isn't a matter of not knowing how to properly adjust it. It's a matter of literally having to do it every few days, or with every cart change.

All I want is a device that will let me utilize my 510 and 601 threat cards without a stupid adapter

I can't help but wonder if it's manufacturing tolerances on the Teflon mine stays adjusted pretty well and the button screw is tight in the Teflon I'd try a wrap or two of Teflon tape to see if tightening the tolerance would help people stay adjusted properly

See what @lonelyhero said. You really shouldn't need to adjust the button assembly every few days. At least thats not what I have to do. The point about often needing to adjust the gold nuts when you change carts is going to be the case though. That's just how the 8 is designed. As suggested a few pages back I agree that @THC SCIENTIFIC should make a floating center pin as an optional part for the 8.

The screw in my button actively unscrews/backs out a bit every single time my button is pushed

I'd be INFINITELY more happy with just a persei top that let you swap threads and had a spring loaded center pin. At least it would work consistently til it dies

the Persei wasn't made to handle low ohm carts tho would need a whole new design most likely but I belive @THC SCIENTIFIC mentioned he was working on a device that can handle sub ohm

Why not just buy a Sigelei 2x18650 temp control mod? I don't get why so many people love the W9 batteries. To me, they are overpriced and simply do not perform. Their carts are MUCH better, so just buy those and then use them with a TC mod. Easy.

Guys let me say this once again.

The inside piece of the button assembly has to be screwed all the way in. It can not be loose. If it is loose it will unscrew back out.

There should not be any reason to unscrew the button contact gold piece. No reason what so ever.

could be the fact that people using our devices prefer not to use products with glue inside.

Or the fact that we offer real customer service that's unmatched, or quality parts that we actually develop.

Or the fact we have equipment that we use to test our devices and not rely on customers to teach us on what temperatures our devices get to.

Or the fact that our carts are of higher quality and adhere to higher standards.

And not take credit for customers we don't have?

I don't know man, could be more if you look hard enough.

How about you send me a $1 for developing that ceramic disc inside a repackaged 1701 with glue you are using since I feel that we should get paid for our work

But hey what do I know. I'm just a dick.

Best quote of the year.

"these donuts are still something even i am figuring out"

So tell me again for someone who thinks a ceramic donut we developed and know its capabilities is better then Our Hercules has any credible opinion on what our devices are capable of?

Thanks for reminding me why I dropped all your stuff. And how exactly is glue in a battery compartment going to affect taste, when the air does not even pass over it? Shouting about how great you are and getting sarcastic when people complain is perhaps not the best way to run a business.

Also, if you are seriously suggesting that two 18350s in series in a metal tube is better than a Sigelei regulated mod, there is nothing more to say here.

Guess you don't know the glue that holds the ceramic to the aluminum base huh. I guess there are magical screws there or invisible fairies.

Glad you dropped our products.

I expect the $1 mailed out tomorrow.

Oops did you just realize it?

Again, thanks for reminding why I dropped all your stuff. And thanks also for the ongoing sarcasm. I guess sending out AC carts with large metals burrs is totally safe. So glad I do not have to do business with you guys anymore! Sadly I can't get the approx. $300 dollar back that I wasted on W9 products that are not fit for purpose and require constant maintenance. You can have your thread back now. I am done.

Yes a production issue that was rectified and something I stand behind.

Tell me once again about the glue in your cartridge? Or do you have to ask your supplier who then needs to contact his manufacturer to find out what exactly is used inside on something they "developed"

So glad you are gone because I'm still seeing you in the Persei thread. Must be the glue that got you got all disoriented.

Next time you want to have a discussion about what's what I suggest you find out what you are using before you start preaching.

And that $300 didn't include glue. Please tell me your order numbers so that I can send a bottle on the house this way you can like our products again.

TIA

Interesting that my comments got zero response. Instead, the company chose to sarcastically berate another customer. If I had been on the fence about their products before, that pretty much sealed the deal.

For those seeking a more nuanced and positive experience where customers are never talked down to, I suggest the Zion thread. That's where I'll be!

We manufacture some of their items so I have contacted the owner there and I'll pm you when I see what's going on. Although this is not the correct thread doesn't mean I have not looked into it :-)

I demand best CS possible when it comes to my work.

Edit they told me they have left a voicemail twice now to contact you.

Hi Delta9vapes.com also sent me the wrong part for my order. I have emailed them a few times and have not heard back. Do they have a number to call? They show no number on their website.

First of all I'm not berating any of our customers, I'm tired of trolls who have none of our products here who happened to complain about a few characteristics of our products that they did not like and yet chose of a inferior product and now without any proof ar back in our thread trolling.

As for your issue you have to submit a ticket for us to document your issue this is a forum for discussion about our products our customer service is not done here.

But I did mention that the gold piece found inside the button assembly should not be loose.

@coflycasr please provide me with your order number and I'll pass that info to the operator of D9

@Soflo all 8's are currently out of stock and might return on oilvaporizer if the owner chooses to list it. She has purchased the rights and stock we have.

:mmmm:Wooohooo, well on a more positive note my v4 top appeared in the mail this morning, one hit off my globe and I dont know how I went without for even a day.

Looks like someone threw in a biophotanic jar as well, thanks guys :science: I just filled it with my best shatter, Im gonna wait until its enhanced and try it out, so much science I love it.

Got some gen 3 stuff in my cart but I will contact Sam first and make sure this v4 top has the proper allowances for the new gear, one happy customer over here, back from the abysmal hell which is no Persei:whoa:

To comment on the 8 I was tempted but the terms and giant red WARNING "advanced" and "fully disassembled" lead me to believe I would just KISS and stick with my Persei and KISS carts, I love your guys design for the KISS carts, I want to start seeing w9tech on the top of the best ten oil vape pen review type articles, the others dont even compare to a rebuildable, titanium wire porous ceramic wick.

When getting blasted through the stratosphere something that has the acronym KISS is your friend IMO

Thanks @THC SCIENTIFIC and @SamuraiSam you guys rule, best customer service, no doubt, well back to the globe:tup:

....again....and again....I'll stop to read this thread anymore, too much fighting...too much ego!
I know, this thread seems to get trolled at least once a week now, ugh.

Edit: Does anyone put caps on the get 3 kiss carts? This weekend I loved it for loading enough for a couple of sessions and carrying it around in my pocket, but once I saw a hair sticking out and wondered what else was getting in there. Maybe I'll check a vape shop for something that fits.

There are some plastic or cigar cases that will put the carts and the whole vape in there. This can help in your quest for a clean cart.

Soflo

Only birdshit and fools
Since you say the 8 rights and stock were sold, does that mean the 8 i have will no longer be supported by you? Example. Spare parts, buttons, insulators, etc?
I was suggesting the 8 to a friend, but now I'm second guessing that.
Why would you do this? I was under the impression this was the end all know all for mechanical mods for your products. Does this mean I now own another $200 w9 paperweight?

@Soflo we have not made the 8 obsolete we will always support the 8. The retail is now being handled by another site if they choose to. We will still support it weather purchased from us or from them. If we currently manufacture and item or have previously manufactured them that means you won't be left behind ever.

In other words I'm still breathing and over my dead body comes to mind that we will stop supporting anything we have made.

Ok, if that was a troll, my bad. No need for all that sarcasm IMO, but I get the frustration.

However I'm not a troll, just a heartbroken customer. I've filed tickets, I've been in touch with Sam, I've gotten the new assembly for the 8, and I've tightened the button screw down so many times now I've literally lost interest. A this point, I would just like to bow out of this thread in peace and humility.

For me, my year with UpTech gear proved be a passing fad. We had some fun, some really incredible hits along the way--and I even invented a foot-controlled vape--that even G thought was cool! In the end, this fiddly new world of UpTech gear proved to be too much frustration for me. But trust me, I get it, respect what you do and what you create. And G, I stand by my previous description of you as the Thomas Edison of oil vapes!

For me, I've realized I need more Zen in my vaping experience that I did not find here (too fiddly). But good luck to all of you!

Ya my pockets have a never ending lint supply it seems like, if you have ever purchased a kanger tank from w9 the little rubber cylinder that comes on the mouth piece and spare coil is golden for slipping over and staying on a KISS cart mouthpiece and if you dont have those you can pickup a pack of those caulking tube condoms from a hardware store (goes on tip so the caulk doesnt dry out)
