I've spent the past six months intensively learning fine metalsmithing skills snd setting up a home studio to produce handmade silver jewelry and custom MMJ vaping accessories. This explains why I've been rather quiet around here in the past few months until today.

In the coming days, weeks, and months, I will be releasing a line of vaping tools and accessories smithed from sterling silver and 99.9% pure fine silver, as well as products made of both stone age and space age exotic materials.

The first tool I'm offering is this bamboo handled Sterling silver multipurpose poker, scraper, kief/hash scoop, which is undergoing brief beta testing with a couple of my FC friends.

II will be releasing new designs in waves, so stay tuned for this first wave and sneak peeks at future designs.

I also love to make custom creations, so if you can imagine a tool or accessory made from silver or other fine metal , I might very well be able to make it a reality for you.

I'm very excited to join the FC artisan community that works hard to make your handmade glass, wood, and now fine metal vaping dreams come true.

idk man. The dish on the left is warped in a few spots. Though a nice idea the bamboo dabber looks cheap, the metal doesn't match the bamboo at all. I don't even know what's up with the dish in the bottom right, why that random shape underneath it? Any lids to these dishes?

Anyways it looks all like novice work. 6 months practice is not enough. Especially in metal working. I really recommend practicing at least another 1.5 years. It's evident that you still have more to learn.

This is pretty harsh. You are perilously close to breaking our Be Nice rule. Your criticisms could have been phrased more kindly and probably should have been sent in a PM. Obviously other people don't share your opinion.

I agree with pacalolo. Harsh.

Are you an expert metalsmith? I'm not. Are these perfect? No. He's 6 months in & doing a lot better than I could do. The more he does, the better he gets. Plus he might trade in a few things he enjoys creating for money to eat with. Which can help.

If I see something I fancy, I may be a customer. Non corporate shit can be cool.

To give you some perspective of the size of the dabber, here's a picture of mine on it's 'maiden voyage.' Chippy was kind enough to include one of these with a purchase I made from him. I like it. It's a nice size. My only fear is that it's a bit delicate and I'm afraid I'll break it. I'm a bit of a klutz, lol.

But the real excitement, for me, was being able to be Chippy's first jewelry customer. He also makes some beautiful pieces of jewelry...

Edit to add: I'm pretty sure that Chippy put the other silver pieces in his picture for artistic reasons. They are jewelry settings for stones , not mj containers.....

I saw the first picture, and thought it was a lot bigger than it really is. Then I saw the nug, and mom's picture realized the actual size. Awesome looking work, I'm going to be starting in metal working in school soon.

Thank you for taking the time to share your constructive criticism of my work. I'm never satisfied either, and know I can always do better with more practice and time at the bench.

These dishes you speak of are in process bezel settings for jewelry, not completed pieces.

They are used to make trinkets such as these. Please mark your calendar and come back in 18 months, and perhaps my skills will suit a discriminating connoisseur of the metal arts such as yourself.

I am curious about why you might think that Sterling or fine silver compliments a natural material such as bamboo? I could make items in any shade of gold or even platinum with a deposit for materials used in a custom order.

@Enchantre that's something I've been considering, actually. There is a local blacksmith who makes small specialty tools for fine metalsmiths such as metal stamps, and sometimes teaches a class. I'm on the list to be notified the next time it is offered. But I may just have to teach myself to make my hallmark stamp.

I only know just enough to know that blacksmithing and the silversmithing I do are as similar as tennis and racquetball. Same basic tools, but still a different game
