I love the fact that the v4 tops have hammer mode it was a little weird not being able to control it like on the hammer tops but once sam explained it to me I haven't had any trouble

Also I may not be around for a while I'm having some health issues and need to get back on track but I'll be here occasionally

Will the new kiss carts work on the minicron lite?
Yes, I suggest trying a single coil to start, that should work great on the Minicron Lite.

We manufacture some of their items so I have contacted the owner there and I'll pm you when I see what's going on. Although this is not the correct thread doesn't mean I have not looked into it :-)

I demand best CS possible when it comes to my work.

Edit they told me they have left a voicemail twice now to contact you.

Thanks for your help. Your customer service is by far the best.
I probably have dozens of unheard voicemail.
I will send them another email and tell them to use email.
Thanks again

Are you going to be stocking AW 18350's anytime soon? I need to pick up another hammertop too. I love that so much with my herc. Perfect combo.

Hi, I have a Hercules 74x (upgrade) and it no longer works with the bottom insulator attached. When the heater core is attached directly to the Persei (V4 push button) it works perfectly.

The center spring loaded pin in the part of the insulator that screws into outer shell (facing up) does not pop up. I can pull it out with pliers but it will not pop up on its own.

Is there a way I can fix this? I have soaked in ISO for a few hours but it does not help. I don't see it available for sale on the website.

Thanks

@reece, the bottom insulator is not listed on the website, but we would be happy to sell you a new one for $10 of miscellaneous fees. Select 10 from the drop-down list before clicking Add to Cart. Finish the rest of your order up as normal (or if it's the only item you want, head straight to checkout)

During step 3 of checkout please specify in the comments box that the misc fees are for an SR-74x bottom insulator, and we'll send you out the more reliable mechanical style insulator that you can adjust to make contact yourself.

I would love to know when there is the next big sale. Really want to grab a nibbler xl and backup Hercules.

I'd give anything for a spring loaded button and pin system for the 8 so I didnt have to fiddle with it each time I change carts. I dont even care if it has a "higher chance of failing" i'll just buy 10 or 20 of them. better that than the aggravation of tinkering with the top pin and button screw every couple days.

@itschad The alternate installation method for getting the 8 to work with the hercules (shown by @SamuraiSam via Skype) makes the fiddling a thing of the past for me. I only have to unscrew the nuts about 1/4 turn if it's not making perfect contact. It used to be a hassle for me, to be sure.

I still have to readjust things any time i want to use a different cart for 510 thread carts, as well as the button screw regularly. And even when things are adjusted correctly, the performance I get out of any non-w9tech cart is pretty horrible even compared to a cheap $30 vv battery

its just not very convenient. Maybe if I got it strictly to sit at home with the sr71 on it and never anything else. But I got it thinking i'd be able to conveniently change to various flavored juices while at work then to the sr71 or alpha c when i leave but ultimately most swaps end up leading to multiple minutes of adjusting things or completely breaking the pins and caps down and putting the whole thing back together to work again

if I didnt have to use an adapter for the 510 tops Id just use my dual top and sell my 8 and be done with it.

Ok, I asked this on a diff thread and then realized it didn't get as much traffic as this thread does so I'll ask again and please forgive me if you've already answered it.....

Are the stand alone kiss TiG gen 3 carts rebuildable like the ceramic carts? Just to be clear, I'm not asking about the alpha centauri cartridges, just the regular stand alone ones. Also, I am using an eleaf istick 40wTC for power, it runs up to 8 volts....should be ok right? I also have a istick 50w that is VV to 10v...

I havent pulled one apart myself yet, but it seems like its the same kinda piece together as the other kiss carts.
I have a gen 3 dual coil, and i dont like it at above 8 volts... once the batteries start to dip its less harsh, but i like my low temp vaping on non filtered bits.

^^ exactly this! The 8 continues to frustrate me, I'm so tired of messing with the damn thing. One day it works great and I think my problems are behind me, then the very next time I end up futzing with the screws and the button for twenty minutes. I vape to relax, not to be frustrated!

I bought your Hercules for $99, now it's $70.
I bought your 8 for $169, now it's gonna be $130 and sold by another company.
I bought the Core for $99, now it's $75.
My 8 never worked right, so I unnecessarily bought the Hammer top for $20.

I never got my 8 working because the initial button that I was sold was known to have issues. Instead of sending me a replacement free of charge, you wanted me to buy more shit I didn't need! So instead, I SOLDERED MY OWN FIX AND DOCUMENTED IT ON FC to try to get my 8 going. Well, great—now I have a cool invention—but still no viable vaping solution. And the hammer top just gets blinky light syndrome 9 times out of 10, so that didn't help.

Eventually, I break down and order a KISS cart THAT I DON'T NEED so I can get a working button to get my 8 finally going, and it just continues to break my heart... When it works it's great, but that is so rare and after so much frustration. Such a sad relationship... [sigh]

At this point, I have completely and utterly lost interest, so... [sniff] ...Goodbye Uptech! You have incredibly cool stuff and great support, but IMO your products are released prematurely and with far too much planned obsolescence, so...I'm done, sorry it didn't work out.

Every product will see its price decrease with time...it's not a fine wine!

Although I feel and understand your frustration...the 8 seems very awkward but they got a lot of gear without issue and without any planned obsolescence (hercule i.e).

My experience is better even if my first V2 persei top died quickly (and quickly replaced with a V4, which is working very well)... except that all the rest works perfectly (even my first and only 7.4V kiss cart which is working since 14 months...I don't use it a lot but I used it enough to count several hundreds hits!).

Otherwise I'm very happy to never succombed to the 8!

Perhaps the obsolescence is not so planned, let's just call it technological volatility.

Granted, the Hercules is built like a tank. But soon after I bought it, there was an upgrade (which I felt actually lessened performance). My experience was that I could only get the Herc to work half the time on my 8.

I'm glad many of you are having a good experience. If my intro to the company had not included the 8, I'm pretty sure I would have too. But alas, you are only as strong as your weakest link. So after battling with the 8 for a year, I'm waving the white flag on the whole shebang.
