To all FC brethren who already have a VapCap,

I've talked to George about collecting tips, techniques, and tricks you've been using with your VCs, so that I can put together a modest users manual that could be release with the production units.

I think George will be reaching out to you guys, and some non FC users, but thought I'd reach out myself and ask you guys to PM me with any/all of your input.

Best,
Adobewan

Great news B.! :)

I would also want to ask all FC brothers who have a Vapcap, including you, if you have understood how the airflow works with it? Why do those cuts around the bowl exist? Does it work like the Solo at all? Pulling air from the sides that gets heated and create convection cooking for the load? I know George must be busy from building our new tools of enjoyment and he can't answer all our eager questions…

i think it works in a way between vapman and solo/air. i mean the load is heated (by fire or electricity) arround and a bit on bottom first layer is the heating element second layer glass in vapcap ocasion the air goes between the glass and heating part the through the hold of the chambet and then diffused in to the chamber and combined with the surrounding temperature it produces vapor conduction and convection. its like you heat up the solo in 5 seconds and the it cools off but with a lighter.

Are you sure about that G.? ;) To me the cap seems to be flush with the stem/bowl… That's why I am asking the ones who already own it… :)

So on the woody, how does that little carb hole work and/or interact with the glass liner, serves a purpose or how does that hole aid function? Are there openings in the glass insert? Or maybe the carb hole adds cool air with a separate airpath as the vapor? I'm guessing i'm close, but would like to hear an official explanation from George or an owner.

Here it is. Please feel free to ask questions.

A closer look at the internal flow design.

IMG_20150903_153716859_zpsri06tgws.jpg

All of the current designs incorporate these features including the wood versions.

The induction air travels toward the vapor end between the inside of the body and the outside of the condenser tube. This flow cools the condenser tube as it flows across and around it, until it makes a 180 degree turn and accelerates entering the condenser tube. As the air makes the 180 degree turn against the diffuser disc it inducts vapor from the vaporization chamber and then the air and vapor thoroughly mix as they enter the condenser tube.
This flow design allows for a wide range vapor concentration and simple user control and moderation. It also helps reduce the thermal progression form the hot end keeping the body at a comfortable temperature.

I hope this helps clear things up with the inverse air induction and vapor extraction principle of operation for the VapCap.

I think there is alot more going on inside this tiny little device than most would expect.

And another good note. Most of the I want it faster orders are in the mail and should be delivered soon.

Cheers,

George

Right, waiting for Grasshoppers is not good for VAS, and neither is winning £100 on a scratch card...

I've got an order for an OG vapcap already open, and was resisting getting the ti woody, but then I found out the internals of the woody includes a glass vapour path. Seeing as there is a glass insert, the wood of Ed's beautiful stems shouldn't soak up the aroma too much, which I was I was a bit concerned about for out and about, because my Ed's stem for my enano smells quite a bit (I love the smell, so not complaining, but it still stops you from bringing it out in public).

So anyway, this 100 quid is burning a hole in my pocket- @VapCap is there a way to pay for a ti woody yet?? Take my money!! I'm throwing it at my screen and nothing's happening!! Lol
Peace

@VapCap skrill.com may be usable, I don't think I've heard of them going after vaporizer companies, like PayPal. Might be worth looking into, anyway.

Hey @VapCap - FYI, here's a pro tip from my store host BigCommerce on this page - https://support.bigcommerce.com/articles/Public/Available-Payment-Gateways

@VapCap : Love the clean glass airpath in Your device.I have a few questions......

Have You tried drop testing the Woody/TI yet? :(:uhoh: And if so did it,would it survive?

I can see In the event of dropping the Woody on hard ground The silicone rings and outer wood sleeve should provide some shock/bump protection for the internal glass...maybe enough, what do You think?

Nearest vape I have to this with its twin tubed design is the German designed Vaponic.
It doesn t have the Pop though..

Was the temperature pop designed into the Vapcap or did it just develop into the design? & is it thermal expansion causing the pop?

finally,Im thinking this is just what I need for a quiet moment on the go in a busy public area like a pub smoking area or during a stroll on a busy beach....what is your e experience using the Vapcap for a quiet moment in a busy area?

So far I m very impressed and feel You ve brought along something new,

I m also happy to see clever new wood designs..there really is never enough wood.

Thanks :peace:

was paypal always so tough on "parafernalia sellers"? how come they accepted the huge amount for the grasshopper campaign then? and what do they do about weed related business owers in medical and recreational use states? seems like a stupid and inconsistent policy on their part. what ever happened to the capitalistic mantra of "money doesn't stink"?

I've never run into problems with any online vapour related transactions. Maybe it's the terminology- a lot of my previous vapes have been bought as, and shipped as, aromatherapy device. Perhaps if @VapCap is stating that they are vaporisers when signing up, this could be the problem? I agree though it's strange that all of a sudden vapcap runs into multiple funding problems, especially with PayPal...

This, plus massdrop stopping vaporisers, equals something fishy. Anyway, I'm still throwing money at my screen, and nothing is still happening... Perhaps if I put the cash in the remote control and throw that at the screen il have a beautiful titanium Ed's stem woody Vapcap winging its was to Wales!! On it...

For those who have recieved their Vapcap, how discreet is the packaging it came in? Does it say Dynavap? And did you get a tracking number for your order?

No tracking. I'm expecting mine tomorrow, hopefully.

I believe @IAmKrazy2 referred to the packaging as 'unique'.

I wonder what 'unique' packaging means...Is it an envelope or a box? I would really prefer the packaging to be a box. Also I have emailed @VapCap twice in the past week through two different methods to change my order and ask questions and recieved no response. The first time I responded to an email and it bounced back...not sure if he got it. I then emailed from the website contact page a few days ago. I don't know if he is not recieving the messages or just very busy and not responding. I emailed again today. Will it be possible to get a tracking number if we request one?

It could be? Try contacting him on here. I've been able to get a hold of him through FC. There was a mailing snafu and I believe all of the 'I want it now' backers were sent out yesterday.

If it is the same packaging i have seen, it is a very brightly colored padded envelope.

Looking at the pictures George showed us of the condenser and everything made me wonder does the condenser come out of the glass tube that is the vapcap? And If so, how? The thought of getting glass out of glass that is kept together with what looks like an o-ring using my chubby fingers to clean the device scares me haha

Cart is still not functional... :(
It's because paypal now refuses to handle DynaVap's transactions because they believe the VC is paraphernalia. George is still working on it and I'm sure he will have it up and running soon! Don't worry though, I'm 99% sure no one is able to place orders (because there is no other way of doing it unless you know George personally and hand him cash or something) so your place in line shouldn't be that affected! Plus, George is waiting for a bulk shipment of parts that should arrive in a few weeks and then he can build these babies and ship them out! Hold on tight man! We all will get our VC soon enough!

I've was trying to find results of a drop test of each configuration. Has one been done? I don't own a vape I haven't dropped at least once (tho usually on carpet)...

Does it have enough mass that dropping it is likely to hurt it?

Easy as pie. Take off mouth piece and condenser slides out. No fuss at all.

My VapCap arrived today. The packaging is unique. The phone is an iPhone 5 for comparison. I will report back tonight with initial thoughts. Time to experiment!:science:

Edit: Is the pic upside down to everyone? It is on my phone. :hmm:
