Star Wars Battlefront is always a good addition. I enjoyed that game immensely. Why not join the pc master race though and install a free steam game called tf2. It is quite a few years old and doesn't require too many resources while being, without a doubt, one of the best multi class warfare games.

You know what, try it out for xbox 360. They made it for that too. It's called the orange box and has a few games on it such as portal and half life 2. If you like it on xbox then try it out for pc. There are more options on things in the pc version. Updates that kept coming and increased the game by so much more.

I can't talk enough about this game. It's the best game I've ever played and I've been hooked for 7 odd years. Try TF2 today!

I wish I could play FPS but I can't. Get motion sickness whenever I try.

@Iwien have you checked out the fallout series? Judging from the style of games you play, I bet you would enjoy them greatly.

I did check it out but it's an FPS RPG and I just can't play from that perspective. Makes me ill.

It's all in the reflexes.
So I finished Witcher 2............twice. Great game.

Played through all of the Elder Scrolls games as well as the Mass Effect series. Maxed out on WoW ages ago.

Lookin' for a new RPG. Torn between Diablo 3, Dragon Souls (the first one) and Dragon Age: Orgins.

Playing on a 360.

Thoughts?
I love Diablo but it's a very different kind of rpg. More of a dungeon run loot fest. The story is all but non existent. I love the ME series but never got into the Dragon Age games.

Well, what is cool about that particular series is that you don't have to play from first person perspective, you can go into third person and roam around just like elder scrolls style. Also the combat can be real time or not. Your choice. They use something called action points, which you can use to pause the game and target any enemy, it will give you % probability for hits, and you can essentially make it a fun mix of real-time turn-based combat in that regard. Then you get all the leveling upgrade fun and the loot search is fantastic.

(Been a while since I played these games though, so anyone more recently knowledgeable, feel free to correct me if i'm wrong on anything.)

You can set it to third person.

Edit.

Nvm its been said, on an unrelated note.

Been playing ARK, also got in the COD Beta.

Starting with COD I was disappointed in gameplay but performance was the best ever on PC for the series and it already had split screen. I focused on safeguard which is a gamemode on escorting a non combat robot. Hoping they put a lot of work in fixing that mode as of the beta the matches were too short and one-sided. Gameplay feels sluggish in movement, weapons operate well and the basic info on how they will kill are nice when choosing your layout. For example a sniper now says one hit kills on the torso and above.

ARK is amazing, been playing on Denver ARK server if anyone is curious. Amazing dev with updates nearly everyday sometimes twice a day. No bad things to say, definitely worth the non sale price and I don't say this often about games anymore. Also has third person if you're not an fps fan. Truly phenomenal game, just too much content to talk about. Definitely the best open world multiplayer survival game I've played so far.

Oh. Sorry to hear about your motion sickness @lwien. I don't have that problem so I don't know how bad that can be.

I read that weed helps with vertigo (my gran just recently started experiencing vertigo) and I was wondering if it wouldn't help with your motion sickness while gaming.

I dab and game. It does make your reflexes slower sometimes...and sometimes it turns you into this unstoppable killing machine.

Since you don't like FPS do you like puzzle? Lumines is one of my favorite puzzle games. Right up there with tetris. See if it's not available for the 360. I played it on my PSP in my youth a lot. I still play it sometimes just for fun...I just looked it up, it's on the xbox marketplace and called lumines live. Definitely check it out if there's a demo or something. I've never used xbox live so don't know.

Edit: I remember you said RPG. I don't have any suggestions for that. Maybe Guild Wars for pc.

I just started Fable The Lost Chapters and damn does it bring back memories of the OG XBOX! Its basically Fable 1 with additional content after the game ends. I've always had a lot of fun playing the Fable series as in some ways its reminiscent of The Legend of Zelda. There's so much to do socially that satisfies my immature tendencies. My ingame title is "Arseface" so I'm greeted with an audible "Hello Arseface" when NPC's see me. Depending on my mood I might hit on the village ladies, go to the brothel, kick chickens, talk to the hippies tripping on blue mushrooms or fart on the city guards. The morality system is fun to play around with - who doesn't like choosing between good and evil. The combat is dated and clunky but nonetheless fun and there are some really cool spells to play around with during combat. I never follow the "mage path" in RPG's that allow the player to choose - I typically pick people off with projectiles then move in to slaughter what's left with a sword. The main character is very customizable and changes according to your upgrade path and morality.

Didn't know that. Will order it right away.

Actually, I love FPS. They just make me kinda ill which is kind of a bummer. Regarding puzzle games, I've been playing Portal. GREAT puzzle game. It requires you to change how you look at things in order to play it. You kinda got to portalize your brain.

I was looking at Fable as well. What I don't want though is to take any steps backwards from Witcher 2. Fallout looks like it may fit the bill.

@lwien play new Vegas before fallout 3. It's way better

Where is the dislike button?? New Vegas better than Fallout 3?!?! Heresy!!!!

From all the reviews I've read, the decision as to which is better is kinda split. From what I've heard, the story and gameplay is better in Vegas but the world and the exploration is better in 3.

I'll probably end up playing both......

Portal 1 was fun. I never played 2. Hmm. If you really want an rpg I'd recommend Guild Wars 2.

I'm trying to remember what the title of a game my friend showed me a few years ago was. I didn't play it but it was without a doubt one of the most in depth customization systems I had ever seen with all manner of abilities. One of them was even flight by the character. Just constant flight. lol. It was definitely weird but I can't remember it.

Deus Ex always seemed like a good game. I've been meaning to try it out. Don't know if that's FPS but it seemed more RPG when I read the PS3 back cover. They have it for PC so I'll probably end up getting it there. Trying to recall that other game reminded me of Deus Ex.

Try looking in your "video" settings in-game for "Motion Blur", and set it to off or disabled. After doing this in my FPS games, all is good, no more motion sickness feeling. Hope this helps.

Was looking for something compatible with a 360. Also, if I want to use my Mac, it requires at least an i5 processor. Mine is an i3.

Oh bro. I feel for you. :(

I will always desire a powerful processor. Thankfully I have something decent right now.

@lwien I know you said you were looking for something for the 360, and I don't know if you have a computer that could run these games (don't know if a Mac with an i3 can tbh), but if you are looking for some pretty deep character customization, decent stories, and having your decisions matter, check out Divinity Original Sin, Wasteland 2, & Pillars of Eternity. They are all top down isometric RPG's where you get to create your party and they are pretty phenomenal games. They harken back to days of D&D and Baulder's Gate; my dad really enjoys them as they remind him of playing D&D back in the day.

Fallout is not a bad choice. For what it's worth, I played through Fallout 3 entirely and could never get into NV. I think partially I was just burnt out of Fallout at that point, because New Vegas plays a lot like Fallout 3.5 essentially. Really great games though and if you liked Skyrim you would enjoy them.

In line with Bethesda, if you're a fan of the Dark Brotherhood/Thieves Guild missions in TES, check out Dishonored. Stealth game, but its made by Bethesda and it's pretty good. It is a stealth game though, so don't expect to run and gun through things.

I got MGS 5 the other day, installing now....so hyped!

Diablo 3 got a ton of playtime on my PS4. I enjoyed it more than the PC version. I feel it's one of the rare games that is more fun and less stressful on a controller. I didn't play it on 360 but from what I understand it's pretty much the same version of the game. Dragon Age: Origins was one of my favorite games on the 360. Absolutely adored it.

I don't know what Dragon Souls is, but if you mean Demon Souls I personally feel that game is an exercise in frustration and anguish. Fuck that game. Fuck that game hard.

South Park: Stick of Truth should be pretty cheap to pick up. I enjoyed that as a fan of the show. Two games history overlooks that I enjoyed at the time: Lost Odyssey and Infinite Discovery. I also enjoyed the MArvel: Ultimate Alliance games. It's pretty much a Diablo clone with a ton of Marvel characters.

You should play the first 2 Fallout games. They're awesome.

And I agree about NV being much better than 3. I look at 3 like more of a spin off game, as it was made by different devs who really didn't 'get' Fallout, imo.

i'd def check out Dark Souls and Dark Arisen also, as far as action RPGs go.

Played all the whole Elder Scrolls series. Loved Morrowind. Never got into stealth mode though. Always either went warrior, mage or a combo of both.

Looked at Diablo 3. Downloaded a demo of it on the 360. Graphics were some of the best that I've seen on the Xbox but dungeon crawlers without much of a story line isn't really my cup of tea. In regards to Dragon Age: Origins it was that game and Fallout 3 that I have been debating with as to which one to get first. I just ordered Fallout 3 and I think Dragon Age will follow shortly. I was a WoW addict for a few years awhile back and Dragon Age looks to be very similar but in a single player format. Looking' forward to it.

Dragon Age:origins is really more reminiscent of Knights of the Old Republic and Bioware's RPGs to me than WoW. But it's not far off. It's a classic western RPG. But the second one was more action oriented. They revamped the combat system. It was an attempt to be more satisfying but most people didn't care for it for whatever reason.

Heard that DAO is more action based on the 360 and more strategy based on the PC which, for me, is a bit of a concern.

Its the same game IMO and I have it for both. If anything... MAYBE the action gets a little more frantic on the consoles simply because you had a little more control over your squad with PC... but IMO the difference is extremely negligible and something you wouldn't notice of you weren't a very critical gamer who specifically played both versions of the game.

In other news... Ive been playing MGS5: The Phantom Pain. Im dying a lot. Like... a lot. But thats because Im not used to thinking when i play games any more. Im sure once I get the hang of it I'll be sinking tons of hours into it. The cinematics are noce for vape breaks :) They are long and plentiful lol. Im about an hour into the game I think Ive actually played about 20 minutes lol. But the graphics are outstanding. The audio/visual presentation is something to behold and IMO any next gen gamer should be checking it out. Im FINALLY starting to get a sense of what they next gen consoles can do. I feel like a vast majority of the games havent really felt innovative or in anyway really blew me away. This one feels like it really takes advantage of the tech at its disposal.
