Colorado Visit

Hubby and I are leaving the 11th for vacation in Colorado. Going through Trinidad, Pueblo, and Colorado Springs Area for the Royal Gorge, Pikes Peak, Garden of Gods type thing. What/where are the DO NOT MISS dispensaries that we should stop at?

You will not be able to buy "recreational" MJ in Colorado Springs. The closest place would be Manitou Springs. I visited Maggie's Farm (141 Manitou Ave) and was quite happy with them. The Bud tender knew I was there from out-of-state and took the time to explain what I had available to me, recommendations, etc.

I recommend Natures Medicine in Salida. I've been there a couple times, definitely heads and shoulders better than any other I have seen around these parts, but still not even superb by Denver standards imo. Southern CO in general is going to be a bit tougher to find great dispensaries than say, Denver and North.

You will be able to in certain towns. Others have banned rec shops, and you would need a medical card. Salida is rec though. I know Pueblo is rec as well. Not sure on the shops there, never tried them.

The poster meant you will be unable to find a dispensary that sells recreational cannabis within the city of Colorado Springs. I am not familiar with CO Springs other than that it is a military town, home base for USA Olympics, and the location of at least one major, right-wing, social-conservative evangelical Christian group. So, I can see how the city may not want rec shops opening.
I have no idea if they have rec shops or not, but it seems very possible.

We are coming from Texas, I was hoping not to have to do Denver this trip. But if I did do day trip what do you recommend? We are actually staying in Manitou Springs, close to the Garden of the Gods. Been checking the reviews on weedmaps of the ones there and in the other two towns.

Manitou springs has 2 within a couple blocks. Emerald fields and the before mentioned Maggie's farm. I was just there about a month ago. Both are for recreational use.

Are concentrates, flower and edibles easily accessible in Telluride?
I believe that is where my bachelor party might land.

Well since I'm a virgin to the dispensaries. Shops that you've liked, the tenders were friendly and informative, had quality product at reasonable prices, good selection. I will be looking mainly for concentrates.

The Weedmaps link above has 6 or 7 shops in downtown Boulder within walking distance of each other.
Easy to check out options quickly.

I believe she said she didn't want to even go as north as Denver, and seeing as how Boulder is an hour north of Denver, and I think now the highway even costs money around Boulder? (Been a couple years for me.) I doubt that is on the agenda.

Like I said. hit Salida up on your way to the royal gorge, as you will likely be travelling along hwy-50 through the area coming from Texas. All the shops have concentrates, I just think that Natures Med. is the best along your route. Have also heard good things about Maggies Farm, but it is a larger chain if I recall and I am a bit wary of those types of stores.

edit:
If you do go to Boulder though... I highly recommend checking out Boulder Wellness Center right around 55th and Arapahoe. Been like 4 years since I lived there, but that was my go to place for several years during the med-shop buildup period. (tried all of them in town and in the metro area during that time period.) And then do yourself a favor and stop by Thai Avenue in the foodcourt on the hill and try their street noodles. If you are a fan of thai food that is.

Yeah, the most north will be Denver and that's only if I have to. I'll see about trying yours Sea, I know we are spending the night in Trinidad and then going up thru Pueblo and stopping for some and then to Royal Gorge and maybe the prison museum. We want to take the dirt road from Florence to Cripple Creek and then go north around Pikes to Manitou Springs. Just don't know how much is doable in a day. I'm use to driving a lot.
