Discontinued The Grasshopper

And as requested, another video.
This video shows 0.1 @ setting 4.5.

And about the reclaim, there is plenty. I get a large buildup inside the silicone mouthpiece, enough so that it wants to stick on once it's cold. Also inside the mouthpiece there is a bit of buildup, though a quick soak in alcohol will clean this.
makes me want mine that much more -_- some sweet clouds

One thing I'd like to see is you continue to hit it well after you turn it off till there is no more visible vapor.

Also seems like there is a bit leftover that 2nd hit. Do you always stop at that point or is just for the video?

This is the 0.1 at 3.5 session, unfortunately it turned into a bit of a shit show:

I got a serious case of the coughs in this one.

Typically I hit it for another 2-3 seconds after I click it off, the videos make me a little anxious, my routine is disrupted a bit.
I don't usually push my ABV any further than that, the taste goes bad and most everything good is taken already. I save it for other uses. There may have been a whispy hit or two left but they don't offer much in my experience.

I'm surprised it produces good flavor on high temps (4.5 +). I've yet to really come across a portable that has good flavor on high.

Minivap? Although it isn't quite the same size, even with decarb kit it still gives good flavor on red... :2c:
Then again, if you really wanna push it, a Vapolution with Purity kit + power bank, might also do the trick..? :brow: Not quite the same form-factor either, but will defo get you medicated!

Does anyone know what it means if it changes from red, blue, red in quick rapid blinks while charging?

Manual says Blue = Charged and Red = Charging, but what is both of them...?

As for the amount shipped out, we could probably get a rough estimate from the serial numbers, right? Mine is #242, so if anyone has something higher, can we make a safe assumption that they've shipped out at least that many? (Give or take a few for themselves/friends).

I think this is a fault with the heater, or some other fault. There has been some discussion here and on reddit regarding this. The flashing lights are a code, send an email to Trevor and see what they can do for you.

As to how many have been shipped, it's approaching 1000 units so far, a third of all the backers.

Hi People, I recieved my grasshopper today, after a postal journey of almost 3 weeks. (early backer, titanium) I must say...I am really really really impressed.
This thing IS a game changer, and it is a master in early vaporizer retirement.
I can say now to all the people who are waiting for the grasshopper, make some room to store
your other vapes ;)
I do need the mouthpiece right from the beginning. For me it gets too hot during the first draw.
The Ti model cools down really fast, I can't compare to the SS but if I compare to any other
vaporizer, my hopper cools down faster.
My backend stays cool.
I will need to get used to the timer and you need to keep track of it, or you're honking on it for nothing.

To be honest, if you see the pen and how it's made, you can understand the whole ordeal with the clip
redesign. These guys know what they are doing and any delay they had/have are necessary.
I now also know they don't give a single fuck about all of us who are bitching our asses of on this forum
because they know that when you have the hopper in your hands, you will forget everything.

You mean a working hopper in your hands. :p

I'm joking a bit because I agree with you. I'm sure they're doing the best they can to deliver a quality product as fast as they can. I prefer they take their time to deliver a quality product as they are doing. I can't wait to get mine and be part of the club.

Hmmmm, seems that's the first person to say that about it getting too hot on first draw? Unless I missed one. Kind of a minor concern.

I doubt many people are going to forget how this entire process was handled. It may be overshadowed by "this is a great unit" but I can guarantee you most will share their distaste for how GHL managed their startup. Which, I'm sure they don't give a shit really, just saying.

Edit: Oh, and congrats man! I do love reading that more are going out. That's awesome! Enjoy it

It might just be that I am more sensitive to heat, but I do recognize this from the Cera loose leaf,
it also gets hot real fast, it takes a little bit longer than the grasshopper but that's because you need
a few minutes to prime the device. I think it's specific for this type of vaporizers. It's not a malfunction but just how convection works. If they reversed the design and have the oven at the bottom so you
have a longer airpath the problem would be much less, but that's impossible with how the grasshopper is designed.

My replacement unit has been going strong all week. So far, so very good!
...I will need to get used to the timer and you need to keep track of it, or you're honking on it for nothing...
I highly recommend the technique shared a number of pages back that suggests clicking the unit off in mid draw. One, you don't need it heating for the full draw, two, it saves batteries, and three, you will forget there is an auto shut off.

Most people speak VERY highly of the Solo. Some, like myself, feels it's one of the best vaporizers ever made, and they had a pretty rocky start, but people don't bring up the Solo's rocky start unless the subject of rocky starts comes up. They usually speak of its sheer awesomeness!

Cool, you may be right. I've never used a solo nor do I know any history. I do know this has been tiring though. But now I'm all intrigued by the Solo...

You're not good for VAS, man.

Oh boy... You're in for a fun ride! I'm hitting mine through my bong as I type this.

That is 30 pages back from the latest post. The thread is nearing 1400 pages and will be past that before the end of the month if not sooner. Biggest thread on FC for a reason

The Solo was my first *real* vaporizer. Used it regularly for a few years now. Got an E-nano earlier this year and just got the GH this week. I had a full-fledged vape controversy on my hands. Unfortunately my old, very trusty friend from Canada, eh, is on the bench and looks to stay there for a while...

I am super excited for my GH to get to me and it looks like it will be the best vape possible for me. However I will say that the Solo is a total beast! It's so reliable and IMO very efficient at both consuming herb and effectiveness. Not to mention good flavor and great battery life and minimal cleaning. Only downsides to me are not as portable as others and it's not that quick in heat up time.

I've only ever owned a solo and a pax (which I sold). The pax was really cool and slick looking but I liked the hits better from the solo a lot more and I hated the cleaning. So I thought the solo was way better IMO.

Anyway, what am I rambling off about? Give me my hopper! :myday:

Bad news for backers/ customers from germany.
Today I was at the customs office to get my grasshopper that has been shipped 2 weeks ago. They told me that it can't be importet to germany because of a missing CE-certification and user manual in german.
I could cry.
