Dabs are vapor too!
I've been using strictly concentrates for a while, don't even have a flower vape, and I'm looking to pick one up.

Doesn't need to be portable.
Doesn't need to be stealthy.
Flavor and efficiency desired.
Single user only - small bowl ok.

An underdog would be good, but they're pricey. Would like to stay under $100 if possible. Looking at:

Vapman
Lotus - had one, didn't taste too good, rather large bowl
Flowermate V5
Solo? have heard the draw is restrictive, don't think I'd like that.

The newer Solos don't have much of a draw restriction. It depends on how you pack your product. It has an all glass air path and fits well to water tools. It is a little over your price range about between $135. - $150. A very sturdy portable and can be used plugged in if you choose. You also can purchase a car charger.

There are many different stems you can get through PlanetVape and @Ed's TnT. Also @VaPeD&CoNfUsEd has the JoDa stems, not sure if he's doing specialty work right now. He's making stems for @PuffItUp

I enjoy the Solo's flavor with the herb and I can have a shatter and herb sandwich if I want without any mess. Just wipe it out with a q-tip of your session. Initially the battery lasts over 2 hours but will degrade over time. Mine is over a year old and my batter life is an hour.

I like my E-nano but use my Solo a lot.

Found a code for the flowermate for $75/ incl shipping from PUI! Also found the Solo for $129.....
Sounds like the Solo is quite a bit better.

It may be worth you having a look at the Rastabuddhatao threads he is currently working on three different variations with the first 100 Zions going out next month with dual and single battery units to follow. Portable but from what's been offered up by the beta team they can testify it works well and not too far off your budget depending on which way you go.

I am browsing the thread, can only find pics of the Zion - Will the lower priced units produce the same quality of vapor?

HD Springer and IamKrazy2 have tested the dual 18650. HD would be able to answer any questions on it. IamKrazy2 is currently testing it and should post a video soon. The single is in transition from 14mm up to 18mm and Pakalo tested the smaller version and I think he posted a video. A fully adjustable single will be released as well. RBT is a new manufacturer and busy sorting the Zions first 100.If you need any other info please contact HD or I am or the other members of the beta team they are all very friendly and helpful. There is also a Rastabuddhatao Web site with some fotos.
All the best PP

I'm waiting for the Zion and Dynacap- the latter being only $30. Those who have tried them are having good experiences with them. If you're ok waiting you might want to try one of those.
I now have a good collection of vaporizers. Still I usually end up back with my Solo. It's just so simple to use with or without water.

I'm shocked you found the Lotus bowl to be large. IMO, it's pretty small, and it seems to work best when it's only about half full. Basically, one very fat and tasty rip. There's not a better or more frugal vaporizer with herb in your price range, IMO, especially with the WPA.

I've read reports from others in Vapman vs Lotus threads that Vapman is more frugal.

Agree with spending a little more $$ and getting the solo.
Flowermate5s isn't a bad vaporizer, but definitely a step below the Solo IMO.

@pigfoot
The heater tech in the Zion Lineup is new. I am beta testing the Zion and can say that it is a beast. The tech is very versatile and can serve for flavorful sips and dab-like rips. I PAID for my beta unit so no preferential treatment here. Any of the 3 RBT units would be a great addition to a vaper's quiver.

addition to a vaper's quiver.
I like Arsenal better than quiver. it's probably just me. my last extended stay in the hospital they told me my heart was quivering in my chest not even beating just quivering. Either way I would rather add a vape to my arsenal than to my quiver LOL

And I do know the term & where it comes from...

+1zion or anything RBT

Underdog is about to have a birthday sale this month. IIRC, last year they sold birthday dogs for $149. They also sometimes have "lost dogs" that are blemished in some way but still fully functional that they sell cheaper. If you're still interested in possibly getting an Underdog, I recommend messaging @underdog or @underdogette to see if they can hook you up with a good deal. :2c:

Did as you suggested - looking at the econo-dog - very affordable. Also, I have dealt with epicvape cust. service, and the UD folks are WAY more helpful!

@pigfoot wow you have gotten some great suggestions from some very reputable, knowledgeable members on here. If your wanting an convection type vape then the Zion is a very good choice. One of my favorite things about the Zion is the performance(I've yet to have a portable match the power, flavor, and battery life). Not to mention that it takes most standard 18650 battery's and a standard 18mm stem. The TOD(dual battery 18mm) is the most powerful vaporizer I have used. Be it plug in or portable. Only thing comes close IMO is the lsv. They hit Almost identical when the lsv is warmed up and cranked to 11. WIDE OPEN air path. Only thing restricting flow is your pack on the load. Hope this was helpful in some way.

P.S. I too am a paying customer of RBT. I'm also a very lucky and happy beta tester.

Definitely helpful! The Zion does look good. I have been unable to find any info comparing the "single 18650" to the Zion. I would be more interested in that one, because of the price. I really don't need a portable, so looking at logs again.

I've never tried a log but they have a great following And the efficiency of them seem impressive. I own an eq and just bought a lsv and I hate the cords. I've broke more shit with the cords than I have any other way. The Zion is new enough to where wait time might not be ideal for you. Either way let us know what you choose and what you think about it.

Log vapes are a whole different addiction. Lol
I never tried an LSV I think it would be comparable to a log. Without the beautiful wood of course.maybe more the Nano since they are both 120 v
@pigfoot the smaller Rbt vapes are only button control no electronic I might be wrong button & batt that's it with the Zion you get more control over v/tc.
Absolutely right about UD customer service a cut above that's for sure.
@underdog @underdogette go above and beyond for their dog pound...

The 18mm stems when they are clean is almost like taking a unrestricted breath. The Zion and the lsv are the most easy pulling vapes I've tried. The dual battery Zion has the most strong effects I've recieved from vaping flowers. I recieved an all over body tingling numbing warming feeling. It truly has a "signature"all to its self. It's my favorite way to vape. I had to ship it to @IAmKrazy2 so he could review and test it. I'm still upset about loosing it. No hard feelings. Just good memories. Kinda. Those 3-5 days I had it was a total blur-blast.

Yeah, I had an e-nano, that's how I know about log vapes : ) Was so impressed with my oil rig, I didn't use it much, and sold it. Now I miss the flavor from a log with flowers! I'm looking at the econo - dogs, not much in the way of reviews. Didn't vary my temp with the 'nano, thinking I can get temps where I need with load/ draw speed.

Ya it's cool how much load distance and draw speed make a difference. You can increase the temp on the load dramatically by moving it a little bit closer to the heat source. And the wood choices are bad ass.

Someone did say that they considered their Zion to be akin to a plug in. Just a plug in they could carry from room to room.
