next generation e-nails?

Man, I have been torching my pukinbeagle Quartz nail all the time to clean. I have the 20mm direct inject, which states it can be used with enail or torched. Any thoughts?
I had that one too, and the deep dish banger, I torched those both to clean before I realized how close the temp of a butane flame and the melting point of quartz are alone, before considering thermal shock and the temp increase beyond the temp of the flame caused by cumulative heat from continuous flame application. Both of these nails lost shape/clarity over time from torch cleaning.

The taste gradually disappeared and all of a sudden even low temp dabs tasted bad after a year or so :-/

Of course, when this happens you can just get a new nail and I am given to understand that no nasty offgas is released from quartz during oxidative degradation - it is just that all of the tight tolerances and beautiful engineering of your high end quartz will end up suffering after a while from cumulative torch degradation. Apologies, I'm quite lifted right now so hopefully this explanation is clear lol

I'll have the quartz and sapphire ones out here as soon as they ship and arrive, reviews will be over in the d-nail thread :D

I'm told by the man himself that this is basically the last thing that can be done to make quartz work better for dabbing. Can't wait to see if it measures up :D

There is going to be a sapphire one too?

I wish they had these up on the site. My SiC nail and coil and whatnot will be here tomorrow. I woulda ordered it all at once lol.

Look what just arrived.
Happy Daddy Genesis Micro with carb + handle, and three quartz inserts:

The picture above shows the Micro with a quartz insert in the sublimation dish.
For the Micro the insert is just a disc.
The full size Genesis has a quartz dish for the insert.

I initially purchased the Micro as it fits 10mm rigs and is smaller and lighter than it's full size brethren (my rig is delicate like a flower ).

However it doesn't directly fit a 10mm female (what I have).
It fits 10mm male or 14mm female.
In addition to that I thought that it took a flat coil like the full size Genesis.
It takes a 16mm coil.

So I decided to return it and get the full size Genesis.
I like the dish design of the quartz insert for the full size, plus it uses a flat coil.
Catherine @ Happy Daddy was super cool and groovy regarding the exchange.
She even altered the verbage on their website the same day I contacted her to reflect the fact that the Micro doesn't fit a 10mm female.

Here's a link for the techy info on the Genesis System: http://www.happydaddyproducts.net/product/genesis-system

I'm surprised I haven't seen much info or buzz about the Genesis here.
Seems super well designed with way the insert fits into the sublimation head.
Plus the way the sublimation head works with the sublimation base to reduce reclaim.
Not to mention that I think that the tri-port design (coupled with the three hole carb-cap) has to be a more efficient way vaporizing concentrates than a traditional down the center "black hole" design.
I think that after applying the carb cap, the tri ports should set up a small vortex.
And the pathway during which the concentrate is exposed to heat is more circuitous thus vaping more completely?

Does this look like a legit design to everyone else?

Most of the stuff I've read, people seem to agree (and I do as well) that the Genesis is a better designed nail. The Infiniti is an ooooold design. HE hasn't released anything new or interesting in a bit.

That being said, D-Nail's SiC nail still trumps the Genesis because SiC > Ti:

Genesis Nail: http://www.d-nail.com/analysis/Genesis-flatcoil.jpg

SiC Nail: http://www.d-nail.com/analysis/SiC.jpg

Ceramic is just a way better material for a heating element compared to titanium. SiC distributes heat more evenly, holds temp better plus it does this cool science thing where it transfers heat to the oil slower which makes it vaporize into smaller particles which work better to deliver the goods.

That said, I'm sure either one will work 10x better than most alternatives. What I'm really curious to see is if D-Nail will partner with Happy Daddy to make a SiC core for the genesis.

There's a dedicated thread here but it's been inactive for awhile though I remember it was discussed in the thread a lot in the past.

D'oh! thanks for the link.

Bring on interchangeable sapphire/machined quartz/SiC dishes!!! :D

Agreed!

Absolutely, a HappyDaddy nail with a sublimation head and base in SiC would be sick!
(with a nice quartz or better yet sapphire insert).

Hi guys I got a question, I ordered a 20mm coil for my e-nail and when I plugged it and powered unit on all the electricity in the house was cutoff!

after to check the coil I see it is a 120v-150W coil and I ordered a 110v-100W coil...is it the issue? or is there a shortcut elsewhere? is there no way to be able to fix myself the watt issue?

I contacted the seller today, still awaiting a reply.

edit: luckily the unit is still working with its original coil!

Most US wall outlets run 100-120v so that shouldn't be the issue (please someone correct me if I am wrong).

Have you tried it in another room that is in a different fuse (not just another outlet in that same room)?

I had the same issue. My enail was tripping my breaker. I realized I was pulling 14.5amps on my 15amp room fuse so running the 100w coil for my enail would trip the breaker as soon as it was turned on. I had to put my enail in the other room. All is good now :D

I'm in France but I use a US plug unit with a converter.

I can't use it in another room...I'm thinking to find a long cord to plug it in the same room but from another power inlet....i'll report after testing!

Ohhh what is that?
D-nail Sapphire Dish, I will have reviews soon. This is not my one though, someone else's pic!

This one is designed to sit atop a bunch of bases. I'll add that many new bases are arriving in the near future, also to clarify to all you do not need an infiniti base to use this (when it is released) or SiC! ;)

Great Scott!
Idk if I asked this before but forgive me. Anyone know a cheap flat coil that works with the terpz enail for sure? I'm trying to get myself a sic nail, but I can't afford the nail + the base + the $80/100 dnail coil. If I can get a flat coil cheaper and know for sure it'll work with the terpz, I'll do that and grab the sic when I get paid.

Terpz sells a flat coil for $50 that will work, probably only get cheaper from DHGate.
