FYI: just received and replied to the Address confirmation of my Nov. 15, 2013 regular backer order for the following:

Color Grasshopper Color: Dark Grey
Extra Battery
Extra Charger
Titanium Case
Oils Front End Color: Dark Grey

The invoice shows that order as Processed and the Estimated ship date is still August; I have another order made last June for 2 extra batteries which still shows as In progress and has a September ESD.
Following up on this, my shipping estimate has been pushed back from August to September and I've just received my shipping confirmation for everything but the Ti case and the oil front end (that includes the June order for extra batteries).
My order status on their site now reads partially shipped and USPS has picked up the parcel according to their tracking system.

It should be more or less 10 days I'd say before I get it, depending on the customs and stuff, I'll update you guys with the cost and hopefully another report of a perfectly fine unit.

Let me get this straight. Backers were from Nov '13 to December '13, and then the rest are pre-orders? What date were the first pre-orders.

January 2015 began pre orders, maybe a few December 2014s got in there first, they were emailed in order based on the waitlist, giving each person a week to order before going to next in line. They opened up for everyone in March or April I believe

So they went a whole year without taking any new orders? Wow

I entered my info and checked back a few days later; it had been deleted or edited so useless.

That google doc has been sorted by order date. Your entry may have been deleted but it was probably just moved.

Who would pre-order a hopper today if that was their stance? I'm not saying they should or would say that, but if it were true, it wouldn't be the best business move to outright admit that.

It seems like their approach may be working for them. From the google doc it looks like they've jumped a couple of thousand numbers in about a week:
20-Aug-2015 195xx
26-Aug-2015 220xx

More orders = more money = more confidence they won't go belly up before I get mine.

It looks like I just made some cut-off, I ordered on March 13, 2015 and am now scheduled for Oct. but after me there is someone that ordered on March 17, 2015 and they are scheduled for Nov.

I guess it does not really matter, I have a feeling I won't see mine till Dec. but hopefully all the issues will be worked out by then. I don't fancy sending it back.

Well my order is been pushed from Sept to Nov. I think I'm gonna cancel my order and buy something else if it gets pushed back anymore. I thought they said they ramped up production. Anyone clue me in please.

I think you summarized it up yourself pretty well.

March 17, 2015 preorder for me, and my estimated ship date is November. Good to know you're scheduled for October, maybe mine is going to ship in early November (or sooner!)

That was like last week the email went out. They just installed the machines to help them ramp up production. It's not an overnight kinda switch. Takes a few days/weeks to gain confidence the machines are working correctly before they go into mass production

I'm betting over the next few weeks we're going to see the number of hopper confirmation reports jump dramatically higher than what we've seen over the past two months.

I can see how the large battery charger would help the company make sure that the vaporizers are working properly before leaving their factory. The battery needs to be charged up to do that. it will move things along faster. Quality control is the name of the game at this point.

EDIT
I would think making sure that the vaporizer is working properly and second would be getting the units out to the customers. If they aren't working then it costs them more money and the buyer is upset.

May the vaporizer fairy sprinkle magic pixie dust. Maybe that would help.

Even though that makes sense, their stated reason was simply so people would receive a fully charged battery.

so people would receive a fully charged battery.

Maybe what was happening is that they were testing each unit then having to charge each battery prior to shipping. That could cause a bottleneck. Now they can do a day of testing and charge all batteries and ship right after re-inserting them.

I pre-orders around April 8th 2015 and got moved to November. Fwiw...

Kinda excited! When I start seeing other pre orders getting shipped without issue I might add a ss to my order...

Funny, to me, the Solo is a teched out portable log.
The Grasshopper is a portable Cloud.

Having an Underdog, imo it became very apparent Solo is designed like that, but on a mass produced budget level... way too much conduction involved (not to mention the forced sessions) and nowhere near the power or versatility of a log. Truly Zion is the portable log (I like to say MFLSV though)...

Haven't tried a Cloud yet unfortunately, but that would seem to make sense to me, did Cloud work well with pinches too though? Also, GH needs some nice custom hydrotubes then!!!
Can't wait to see what @VaPeD&CoNfUsEd whips up with his magic glass inventedness
