Hi guys and girls, I recieved my vapcap yesterday morning !!
I've been playing with it for two days (my days off) and I will write more about
it later today. If there is anything you would like to know or that you would like me
to test, just ask.

@Ratchett my Tesla doesn't have cigarette lighters :-)

So, I only have the VapCap for two days but I played alot with it.
I like it alot. I am not used to write reviews so this is not going to
be structured.
Remember, I have a pre production unit so things can change or be improved.

This thing is lightning fast, mflb fast and it gets faster
and faster. First time it takes between 4 and 6 secs, second time 2-3,
third time heating it clicks after one sec !!
I can have a session with spent abv in the end in about 1 minute, loading included.

The chamber is tiny, a normal mflb trench fils the vapcap twice.
Most that I could load was 0.1 gram, but normal load for me is about 0.05 gram.
less is also no problem, grind it fine, coarse or not, the results are virtually similar.

The VC medicates fast, but uses a small amount. For me, this means that most of
the time I load a second time. This is because 0.05 is not enough but also because it's
so fast, you have to give it time to hit you.

The provided torch works great, I have never combusted in my life so I don't have any
fire makers in my house, only matches. So I tried matches too. Not a good idea, heating
took about 15 seconds, with the flame getting within 3 mm of my fingers (small match)
and the cap got completely black. It cleaned easily with some iso but I could not recommend this if
you are on the go because the black stains easily.

It smells, more than most of my vapes. Not the VapCap but the vapor is the culprit. It seem like
it lingers long.. After vaping with the vapcap, I went to another room for a few minutes and when I came back in the room, I could really smell it. My wife doesn't let me use it in the car because of that.
(new car plus the cops don't like MJ in our country)

I think this odor comes from the fact that the vapcap abv is very dark, I usually go 3 rounds
(max 4 but that is the limit for me) and the abv is always very dark, it's not usable any more.
The smell reminds me of the pax on red after awhile.
If flavor is your game, the VapCap might not be your first choice but I do feel everybody should
own at least one.

Because of how it's made, plus with the all glas body, you can see it staining rather fast
(I have been abusing it a bit-or better, myself- these last two days so that speeded things up a bit)
If this is a problem for you, go for the woody or all TI, wich I'm also going to get.

I also got some oil out of the inner glas tube and put it on some cotton and right back into
the VapCap, it worked brilliantly. I think this vape will also shine with oils, wax, hash etc in some
cotton.

Oh, did I tell you this fucker is SMALL??

Thats all for now, I've been to long away from the VapCap, time to go another round.
(btw, I already had to fill my lighter again, that's how much I used it in two days)

Thanks for your review. Only thing I saw missing was vapor production. What is the vapor density like? Anything else in your lineup you can compare it to?

You are right! Vapor production....well, it's not bad at all, I would say comparable with the solo
between 5 and 7, but it goes down fast, because it's such a smal oven and because it's such a fast way of vaping. I get the most vapor during the second and third cycle.

*edit* I think if you want to use this vaporizer more like a long session vape, it's best to use hash etc, when I used the piece of cotton, I could do a few more cycles

All you lucky guys with the early VapCaps, have you succeeded in getting lower temp vapor and subsequently longer sessions by heating for less seconds, a sort of manual heating without waiting for the click (similar to how the vapman is used..)?

I just tried it, and altough it's possible, it makes using the vapcap more cumbersome. You'll need to be very alert not to heat for too long, but not long enough gets you no vapor. Plus, if you want to do it this way, you might spend more money on butane than what you conserve on herb. I had to re heat 10 plus times for not that much vapor, afterwards when I heated untill it clicked, I got as much vapor with the first inhale as what I had during the whole lower temp session together.
The taste however was much better troughout that whole lower temp session.

So what happens when you heat it up and let it cool down for a bit before drawing? Taste suffers?

I think so, I have not payed attention to the taste when I did that, I'll try it in a minute, but I do know that when you wait a bit, you get bigger clouds.

*edit* also when you hold the little hole on the side and on the mouthpiece closed, vapor can't escape

*edit2* @Quetzalcoatl when you let it cool down before drawing, the main result you get is much less and less dense vapor, taste seems to be staying better for longer, but that is also because the longer you wait after the click, the less draws you can take.

@Belgianvapor can you heatup the Vapcap with a MFLB and/or a Solo or any other vapes? Could you also try a candle and tell us how it goes?
I'm pretty sure you can't use the mflb to heat up the vapcap, but whenever I would be in the situation where I would need my mflb to heat up the vapcap, I would just use the mflb. I also don't think the solo would work because the vapcap dwarfs next to the solo stem. A candle is no problem, but because how a match blacked up my vapcap, I won't try other flame sources that fast again.

I can see how using a MFLB/Solo is totally not practical but wanted to know if it worked anyways in the name of science and fun. Ultimately I'd like to see if there could possibly be a good quiet alternative to the torch.

Just got a nice surprise in the mail. The Titanium and wood version

Looks like this will replace my Vapman. I have owned the Vapman for six months and I am still not getting consistent results. The VapCap has almost no learning curve.

I tried it with some ground up material and with a nug. The ground up material produced better results.

The first bowl only produced light vapor and had no draw resistance. I tried again with the air hole covered (much harder to draw) and got very visible vapor. Feeling the effects after only two bowls.

I would not compare the vapor quality to a Solo or Crafty but it is not harsh and requires very little material to produce effective results.

I can easily carry and use the VapCap in a pinch. This will come in very handy for quick stealthy vaping.

How can you pay for one of these? to pay from your cart it still takes you to paypal with no other option.

@King_Bob that's a sweet looking little set for sure.

George is working on an alternative. Hang tight.

@King_Bob
Wow the first Woodie TI unit looks amazing. Enjoy. Looks like you need another heat cycle and to perfect your skills for a very evenly extracted load. It won't take long.

Good reviews guys,

I don't ever use the inlet hole as a 'carb' at least on my basic there is very little air that gets in anywhere but the air inlet hole.

Belgianvapor yes I would say it's the completeness of the extraction that makes it smellier then other vapes. The unit itself starts to smell with these full extractions too but it is easy to clean.

That Ti woodie looks great!

king bob if that last pic is the final avb you have a LOT farther you can go. You'll get the hang of it, and it's a fun journey

@Quetzalcoatl I did not pack it very tightly. Just dropped the material in.

@IAmKrazy2 Thanks - Looking at the pics I could have done a few more cycles for sure.

The more I play with this little vape the easier it gets. I can get full extraction in six cycles.

This is what is left after the six cycles with a tight pack.

Anybody else look at the pictures of the VC they want to order once they become available? I've been checking on the all Ti model every day now and peeking the glass color every once in a while. I really really really want that full Ti I just am scared the price will be up there like with the woody compared to the standard I already ordered.

That looks wonderful. Upon what hit does it start loosing flavour, and really how is the flavour ?

Could you possibly compare it to anything?

George you may just have to add a Ti Woody onto my order.

Why were the pics of the woody removed?

I can't see the pictures of your Woody Ti. It says the pictures were removed from imgur.com

Well, that doesn't look such an even extraction to me guys, maybe you need to grind more finely?

And if there is no other air inlet than the little hole on the cap then we are talking full conduction... Since I saw those grooves on the glass stem that look like the ones on the PV Solo stems, I thought is that there is air coming from the sides of the cap as well, between the cap and the bowl, just like the Solo. There is a lot of convection there for sure and George said there was convection... I am confused. George also hasn't published any airflow drawings yet... :\ If it's mainly conduction we certainly need a lower temp cap for improved taste. Otherwise Vapman has much better control over the temps... :uhoh:
