New smoker. How much herb in chamber?

I am contemplating buying a FlowerMate V5.0S, but my question is for any vaporizer. I am new to smoking. I don't have a vaporizer yet, and I am using a metal pipe. I smoke a single hit "pretty good size" and I'm good for a couple hours. If i buy a vaporizer will I be able to smoke just a hit and then turn it off, and leave the weed in the chamber. Then just pick up the vaporizer the next day and just start smoking again? Or do I need to finish the session and get rid of the weed that is in the chamber. Also If I cant do that, Can i just put a small amount of weed on the chamber, like a hit or 2. Thanks for any info.

I had a stroke a few years ago, and my words don't come out great sometimes. Hope my question is understandable.

Welcome to the forum and congratulations on making the decision to change over to vapor.

First things first. You need to lose the term 'smoking.' That will become a thing of your past. You will now be vaping. There is no smoke involved; only vapor.

This depends on the type of vaporizer you end up with. You can do this with most vapes, but conduction vapes tend to continue to vaporize your weed after you've turned it off. The chamber is still hot until you've cooled it down with either vaping or time. So there would probably be more than one hit involved. However, you can go back to the vape later, for more tokes, in many of the models.

You also mentioned that you usually only take a hit or two at a time. This can still be done. But until you've adjusted to the difference in high that vaporizing gives you, you may find you 'need' to toke more.

My suggestion would be to read the Flowermate thread (if you haven't) which you can find here. You might want to also read some of the general vaping questions found in 'Ask FC.'

I would suggest getting a butane vape if looking to hit it one or twice then put it down and come back later unless looking into the grasshopper which will be a bit of a wait. Look into triihouse products. Lily=amazing and about same price. Personally I'd pick lily over the flowermate any day as didn't enjoy the flowermate. Haven't had much luck with the peace ( I just really suck at trying to heat it) and don't have daisy but everyone says she's awesome. Also theres the lotus, which personally haven't tried but great reviews, if wanting to get a glass collection going in the future. That's my 2 cents and know you'll love vaping once find the right one for you

I personally use the vapman as my vape to take few hits and set down. U can get the complete set for under $100. Im sure there r lots of options for this any triihouse, The hammer and lotus all butane powered. The hammer has a stem that can be removed to ensure no extra heating is wasting ur herb while not in use. Once the vapcap is released I believe this is another great inexpensive ($30) vape for a quick hit. Best of luck on the search. Remember dont rush it knowledge is power use fc as the great tool of information that it is.

I appreciate the info from you guys. I will check out the FlowerMate thread, and check out the suggested other vapes. If I purchase a conduction vape like the FlowerMate could I vape a hit or 2 and then take the ground herb out of the chamber and store that with a pill bottle or something and then put it back in the chamber and repeat until the herb get brown etc.. Thanks again guys.

If you already smoke a pipe, vaporgenie. Closest thing to a pipe experience for me, and more satisfying. Once you work out how to blow nice clouds loading a similar sized single hit into a pipe just seems pointless.

Good luck with your decision with the Flowermate. I've thought of getting one myself. Eventually you may want another vaporizer as a back up. You don't want to risk going back to smoking so having a back up is really important when you can afford it. I would suggest the Solo, it's a portable as your next vaporizer or the E-Nano it's a desk style log vape.
