For sure, even with a closed window, even during the day, even if your vape pen was an enail and you were dropping pounds of shatter onto it each day (although I'd probably exhale carefully, imagine how much claim will condense on shit you exhale that much vapor over haha).

Just make sure all ventilation inside that doesn't seem to vent out is covered if there is any and DONT breathe vapor out a window if neighbors are liable to walk past it, just exhale inside, vapor doesn't linger ;) also very important - don't get a vape that could accidentally combust lol

In my experience, the room you are in will smell like the material you vape while you vape. WHILE YOU VAPE being the key. And for some time after depending on ventilation. But the smell doesn't stay in clothes or fabric at all. At least not in my experience. So I'd say vape away.

See in my experience it'll only smell indoors as long as you're vaping. If you vape 24/7 it'll smell 24/7. If you stop vaping it'll dissipate in an hour or two. Of course each place is different. If you have no ventilation it'll take longer.

There's other factors too, like the device you use and how much you use and stuff like that. Let's take the Arizer Air for instance. When vaping, it smells. I can tell you from experience if you're in a crowded movie theater people will smell it. And eventually they'll realize whats happening. If you're in a room with closed doors and there's even slightly reasonable ventilation, no one should smell it. Everyone in that room will smell it but those outside usually do not.

In my experience, smoking lingered (not as bad as tobacco) on your clothes, breath, apt. I have people in my home all the time, and unless I exhale a vape cloud in their face, the smell is minimal. Get one of those spray things that go off by itself every 10 minutes or so. I don't have one, but plan on picking some up. In the meantime, smell is very minimal, quick spray with some non-aerosol "Pure Citrus" obliterates anything.

I believe the vapor smell will eventually make the room smell different. Just like vapor leaves reclaim on the vape itself, that vapor is flying into the air and invisible reclaim is sticking to everything that the vapor touches. You wouldn't notice it for a while, but eventually it would start changing the smell of things in the room, and someone might notice that it smells funky. That's why some people opt to use a smoke buddy.

Just a little ventilation will help the slight smell dissipate quickly. Don't need to have an exhaust fan running, but a couple windows opened a little will clear things up pretty quickly. Exhaust fan would do it quicker, but good to be sure it goes outside and doesn't exhaust to right under the property manager's window - or possibly griping neighbors.

@VapourHaze and others above make a great point about using essential oils or other air fresheners. I'd try to go light with these, though. Strong scents (other than MJ) can sometimes cause suspicion. One that is is always plugged in or automatically mists may be better. It usually doesn't take too much at all to mask vapor. Citrus and/or lavender scents work very well, and am sure their are others. When in hotel rooms we use aromatherapy relaxation candles that have a blend of lavender, citrus and cedar. We've had friends anxious to vape stop by less than 10 minutes after vaping and be surprised we haven't started partying yet, because they smelled none!

Some vapes roast when you're not hitting, others are really only producing vapor when you're drawing on it. Some are worse roasters than others. These tend to produce a bit more smell, but nothing like smoking would.

Some vapes also come with, or have an optional aromatherapy cup. Don't think there are any vap pens that do this, but you may want to consider one for your situation. Basically you have a small glass cup that uses the same heat you vape with to heat essential oils. You can't vape and diffuse oil at the same time, but unless you are doing very long sessions a few drops of oil in one of these should clear up the smell in a matter of minutes. Lemongrass oil does very well for this in mine.

Yeah, maybe, but you're talking apples and oranges here. Reclaim is created in a very small confined area and usually before you even inhale the vapor. It usually takes a good many hits just to build up in a glass stem - where hot vapor is starting to condense as soon as it moves from the heat source. Condensation is going to be pretty much done by the time you exhale, and unless you have a cool humid room isn't going to settle on things very quickly. Blow it into a space literally millions of times larger than the glass stem and with some air circulation and it will probably be pretty negligible for most. If you get 5 or 6 people vaping hours a day in a small confined space this could be an issue. But for most of us I think you would be talking years with no cleaning or regular air circulation before buildup. This can be easily tested with a piece of tissue. Put it in your vapor path before inhale and take a few hits. Notice the residue. Then, do your regular vaping and exhale through a tissue. Should be virtually nothing visible or sticky.

As an example of vapor stickiness vs combustion
I have quite a few veneers on my upper and lower teeth. When I first got them, they'd still stain around the edges (smoking a couple of joints a day). Now, they are pearly white, not a hint of plaque. My dentist wants to know what I'm doing.... :sherlock:

One thing to strongly note is that you as the user are not a good indicator for if your house/room/space smells like weed. I never even knew my place smelled bad until a maintenance guy commented on it one morning when it had to have been at least 10 hours since I last vaporized inside.

Even Though I vape outside most of the time my living area still smells like herb just from daily Grinding. Like @Scott A I don't really notice it but others do, not the odor of smoking or even vaping but the herb itself stands out to people who are in the know. Today's tasty bud is pretty stinky all on it's own.

Yes, bud stinks. If you leave it out especially it stinks. But I've vaped every day for three years and I promise you with enough time to air out and properly contained materials (remember ABV stinks horribly too) NO ONE smells it in my house. I have people in my life that would notice and have noticed in other situations. No one does. Ever. Not since vaping have I EVER been accused of smelling like weed. That's only when I combust.

Of course I understand this is just anecdotal evidence and in no way proves anything. Regardless, we're getting way off course here coming up with more over-the-top examples of how much weed stinks. I think OP is more than safe in his own rented establishment and honestly the idea that his apartment would smell forever due to some vaping just sounds ridiculous to me.

I know people who've SMOKED weed in non smoking apartments on a regular basis and had zero problem. OP you'll be fine.

Just burn an aroma therapy candle with oil, they come in different scents. Most foods will cover up the smell of vaporizing. Pop some popcorn or make some toast. You will want to keep your cannabis in a container where you can't smell it while it's being stored. Keep your vaporizer and any mouthpieces clean.

A clean mouthpiece and unit is one that won't be quite as detectable under the radar of others.

You shouldn't have any problems if you are careful. I used vaporizers in hotels. I wouldn't have any parties where cannabis is used. Go to somebody else's house for that.

Most important thing, you are not smoking you are vaporizing. A big difference.

Good point about keeping things clean! That probably goes for your apartment as well. If you dust and clean your fabrics (curtains, sheets, throw blankets, etc) regularly, that will certainly help.

Yep, keeping things clean definitely helps. I vape in small-ish rooms and hotels and never had a problem with the smell. I like to see my clouds and blow them into the air, even though I own a couple of those Smoke Buddies. I've had people walk into my room less than 5 minutes after a session, with my stuff still lying around, and they never smell anything weed-related. I use some Orange Chronic to keep the air smelling like oranges and that seems to mask it very well. A little goes a long way.

I vape in my car whenever I'm traveling. My friends have said that my car still has that "new car smell" -- it had only been aired out for about an hour or so at that point. I have leather seats though, I'm sure those help over other materials.

Back to keeping things clean: my Extreme Q is sitting about 3 feet below me, and I can clearly smell the ABV. It smells nothing like weed and people not in-the-know wouldn't notice it's vaped weed. Those that vape themselves could certainly notice, but I've yet to have anyone say anything about smells.

Good herbal vaporizer and an open window should have zero problems id imagine. I stay in hotels almost half the year, smoke/vape in the whole ever I'm in them. Usually stay at the one place.
Might stay in a room for the week, then move units. Been doing so for a couple years now, same place and never once had anyone say anything. cleaners coming in mid sesh and stashing the solo under the lounge cushion, maitnence people stopping by 5 minutes after big vape sessions.
If you aren't worried about people coming in during the session and can give itna bit of time to air out I don't see any problems. If you're worried about landlords smelling it on inspection your best bet is to pack it away don't vape for an hour before hand and make sure the weed is buried deep into something (clothes draw) in a decent container.
