Best desktop vape for solo + social situations and overall efficiency and hard hitting

I'm thinking about getting a volcano, because I love the portability of the bag. In a social situation its perfect for passing around. But I'd rather have greater efficiency and stronger hits so I get my friends who smoke super toasted, cause they've always complained about my old Vapir NO2 not being strong enough. (it also broke after 1.5 years of not much use) I heard the volcano isn't the best if you're vaping alone.

I keep hearing the SSV is the bomb, and I would love to get it, it just doesnt look like it can be passed around a big room over multiple couches etc, or at a party when drinking etc, and standing around.

The herbalizer also has a whip which I quite like for solo use, but how does it compare to the volcano in terms of vapor quality and power? How does the Extreme Q compare as well to the volcano and herbalizer?

I've heard log vapes like the e-nano are also great, but many review seem mixed in terms of it's efficiency. It also can be passed around and has a rep for being a hard hitter, am I right?

Thanks a bunch guys

Are you a lightweight vaper (like me) or do you vape a good sized load each session, if alone?

The Volcano is a great vape but works better with a bigger load IMO. It has a very big chamber.
As far as hard hitting, it WILL knock your friends on their vaped asses at a party. Load up a couple bags and they will be amazed. Precise temp control with the digital.
For single person use, not as efficient with herb vs Herbie.

For my lesser sessions, I went with the Herbalizer. Smaller chamber and ability use a whip when by yourself. Plus, the fan can also be used with the whip or for really kickass session, use the fan with
a hydratube or bubbler for a "turbocharged effect".
Less than 10 second warm-up and also precise temp control.
A vape session can be done in 60 seconds.

Depending on your priorities, I'd say Herbie and Volcane are #1 and #2.
For me, Herbie is #1 but for others, the Volcano fits their needs better.
Both are superb.

Herbie with @Ratchett Song (silicone adpater in 18 mm male end--to fit hydratube HT).
This with fan assist would get a party fully vaped BUT you can't pass it around---you come to the hydratube. Herbie does also have bag capability for parties---or do bags AND HT for a double threat :)

My Vapir Rise 2.0 always knocks people on their ass. I usually do bags with a group of 4+. This machine is always a hit and everyone is always satisfied.

It might depend on whether you vape more in groups or by yourself. IMO, nothing beats the Volcano for more than one person, but it might be overkill if you primarily vape alone.

Well I would probably be spending 50/50 of my time solo and group vaping. That hydratube adapter looks sweet! Does it just cool down the vapor significantly or does it allow bigger hits?

I was pretty set on the herbalizer until I saw the $729 price tag which is pretty nuts. I have been leaning towards the EQ b/c of the bags and whips but I really want the highest quality vapor. I like the idea of the EQ as well because it is significantly cheaper than the volcano but does that justify the price tag over the EQ? I do like that concentrates can be used in it, I have heard?

I wouldn't get a vapir rise just because I don't really like the NO2. I found the parts to be really cheap and the overall design and function just didn't feel worth its pretty high price tag.

If I was in your position, I might just spring for a Silver Surfer , blemished. Drawing through a silicone tubing whip and glass wand and mouthpiece isn't as convenient as passing around a pillow full of cannabis vapor, but the SSV has a relatively large bowl, is easy to use, tastes very good and is built like a tank. It should be able to handle a group of 4 or more pretty easily, IMO. And if you think you might have vapor bonging in your future, you can run the SSV through a bubbler with a simple water pipe adapter. You can't do that with the Volcano very easily. The EQ is OK, but there are a bunch of little glass pieces to connect. It works better if you mod it, but still doesn't hit like the SSV. Another option to the SSV is the Life Saber, which can be passed around, although not across a room. I think the cord is around 10 feet long.

I'm pretty torn now between the SSV and the volcano. What exactly does a vapor bong provide? Also why blemished?

My only issue with the SSV is that it needs a surface to be on when actively using, whereas I can have the volcano on a side table and once the bag is filled it's good, and out of the way. I also really like the ease of the bag and find the overall use very hard to break the volcano. Replacing bags could get annoying though, but apparently cleaning the volcano is really easy whereas the SSV requires a bit more attention to keep nice?

Do you think the liquid pad with the volcano would help with using less herb perhaps? This is one other reason i'm leaning towards the SSV.

I also like the vape after having a few drinks, and I feel like I could potentially get irritated with the fiddling the SSV requires.

It sounds like you really like the Volcano and using a bag system for parties. Go with what you like, it sounds like you are familiar already with the unit.

You had mentioned the ENano. I don't think that would be for a large amount of friends. I would say maybe 2 or 3 people at the most. I have the Nano and like it a lot.

Go with what your gut tells you. Further down the line you can always add another vaporizer to your lineup.

A few thoughts:

I don't know where you have heard that log vapes are not efficient but I think that the general consensus around here is that these are your most efficient option. As a owner/user of an enano, I highly agree and find that it excels at smaller individual loads. If you turn up the heat a bit, it can be a very hard hitter or you can turn it down and "sip" for better conservation.

The LSV is very similar to the SSV (same heating element) but it uses a glass wand instead of a whip which you may prefer for passing around. It is efficient but it works a little better with larger loads. It is a harder hitter than the nano and the larger capacity is better for groups. I think the vapor quality is a little better and I like that all of the material is trapped between screens so you can leave the glass whip and don't have to worry about anything falling out it when passed around.

As an owner of both, I use the LSV when there is a group and when I am having a bigger session. The nano gets my weekday use to conserve. Both are great and could serve as your only vape. The LSV/SSV will probably be a little better in the group setting and the nano will be better for individual use. You can't go wrong with either.

I say volcano. Based on everything you have said it appears your mind is already made up. Go ahead with a volcano if you do not require a whip inhalation.

There's always the Herbalaire too that does bags, whip, direct draw, and vape bonging.
It often gets overlooked but it has a decent sized following of loyal users. I love mine for groups now while mainly using an Underdog or Vapman for solo use these days, the HA served well as a daily driver in the past for me and i'd hate to be without one now.

I think it's looking like the volcano guys! I just have one other question about it, because the volcano requires a pretty substantial amount of material in the chamber to work properly, would it be possible for solo use to fill the chamber, fill a bag or two, then shut off the machine and come back to it in a few hours and use that same material in the chamber to get an effect?

I know obviously that the effect won't be as nice as the original few bags, but how bad could it be?

Thanks so much for your guidance all!

Anything worth doing, is worth overdoing.
Trust me, after you buy one vape you'll get the fever and start buying others. Soon enough, you'll have a closet full of vapes to choose from based on your needs at the time. I fall in and out (and back in) of favor with several vapes. Then the "glass" starts in and you're infatuated with the beautiful choices to hook your vapes up to. So buy a vape now, then get ready... VAS (Vape acquisition syndrome) and GAS (Glass acquisition syndrome) are the bane of the vaper's existence and oh so much fun :p

Sounds like you really need 2 vapes, one for group sessions and one for when your on your own. I have a Vapor Brothers hands free desktop for group sessions. The VB is seldomly talked about anymore because it's been around so long, but it is a solid, kick-ass whip vape and cheaper than the surfer, Herbie and Volcano. and it hooks up nicely to glass.

For solo sessions, I use my Lotus or my Firefly. Although that e-nano is calling my ass every damn day. Begone, cruel temptress!

Haha I have a feeling this will be very accurate for me. However I am a poor college student who managed to just scrape together enough cash over summer for one machine right now, so I need to make the best decision possible and until next summer I can be happy with my purchase!
Having a look at the Vapor Brothers!

If under a budget the herbalaire sounds like your best bet for balloons and big groups. For a combo of solo/3-5 people sessions the SSV/DBV will treat you fine. If the focus is mainly solo and small groups of 2-3 go enano/underdog

If you're on a college student budget, and set on the volcano, check around here for suggested places to buy and vendors here who provide FC discounts. If you've been looking at then locally, your savings may be enough to pick up a nice personal vape for when you don't want to throw full loads in the 'cano.
