Hey guys.
So, looks like a few people are cropping up with Matt's invention.
Some for close to the same price, but ah, the shipping !!!! He he he. Matt will always have the best deal.
However, looking about the internet I found these fc-2000 ceramic wicks that allegedly fit the v2.5.
You can get em by clicking here. They're normally sold with the "deep bowl" version of the DT v2.5, which they call the Unimizer.
Not sure they'd fit in the shallow bowls that I have.
Just a thought. If someone would like to try them, by all means report and let us know!
Also, looking forward to some bubbler-to-v2.5 glass connections to appear soon !
Right on Divine Tribe you have a fan in me. Vape on, everyone.

Oh and P.S. I use an IPV 4S and will measure resistance during use and let y'all know what this one says...
Maybe Matt could stock those ceramic wicks if they're any good.....that way we can all afford the shipping. I also noticed that site sells a source orb clone.

Everyone is buying these new ceramic atomizers from china and slapping their names on it . Ever heard of alibaba.com or dh gate http://m.dhgate.com/wholesale/ceramic+donut+atomizer.html#search

Lol i don't think that website sells anything they did R&D on. I'm pretty sure those ceramic wicks are from
W9tech:
http://www.w9tech.com/black-ceramic-wick-5-pack/
I'm glad you posted that link- I meant to but totally forgot about it.

As long as they are buying wholesale from Matt, and not the factory in china that makes the atties, i'm pretty sure he's fine with it. (at least according to what he said about the Atmos account)
is buy

Indeed I have heard of those sites. All I was saying was I presume Matt would prefer these companies order from him instead of buying what I imagine are clones. (that or the factory where Matt's are made is selling his design to whoever asks instead of just him- which sounds like Shenzen to me).

I used to follow the E-cig scene (before i discovered I was allergic/don't react well to both Vegetable Glycerine and Polypropylene Glycol) so i am at least somewhat familiar with what goes on over in Shenzen.

So I just got the 2.5 the other day, and put it on 12.5 watts on my white Subox Mini. Looks so beautiful! And yes, this is the best portable concentrate setup I've tried so far.

I'm good at using my VW mod, so would I really benefit a lot form getting a TC mod?

It's not as finicky as the Ophos and the Globe attys.

Plus I like your attitude, Matt :)

uh
why would you spend more after shipping and avoid the original, and American, producer of the atomizer by getting a Unimizer on Ebay ?
That was CERTAINLY NOT my intention with my post.
I was simply curious about the wick rings.
So @kernal6500 , I guess you can tell us how the wicks work.
However I"m not impressed by your decision to go with Unimizer rather than our friend Matt's DT atomizer.
Good luck getting a 3 month warranty on that one.

Just to be clear… They ALL come from the same place. I support Matt and have purchased from him, Gladly. But these ALL come from the same location and HE as well rebrand them.

Very true. China manufactures most if not all atomizers. Matt has mentioned his manufacturer are indeed from China in early threads. However, from what I understand, Matt worked directly with the manufacturer to come up with the donut atty series. I'm assuming that the manufacturer is wholesaling the atty out themselves. To the other mentioned sites.

That's why many companies are hesitant to work with Chinese manufacturers now. In the ecig and vape world, if anything becomes popular, it will be Chinese cloned out within weeks

OK guys, Month 1 Finished, No Issues whatsoever with the 2.5
I use a Snow Wolf LE 200W @ 12.5W on temp control with a max of 315F. As good of clouds as table units. Very interested in a package deal for several of them when i get my funds up. ALL Associates are impressed. All Friends are Jealous. Hottest I've gotten it to was 430F it was red for a sec as i was cleaning. I still don't know limits so I am cautious and still works fine.

Why this thread is it still candidate?

Matt is selling his products since 2 years and this is already the third version of the donut (oilvaporizer.com is not anymore candidate and they are selling the same sort of gear isn't it?)

Still using my DonutV1! (not a lot although...but I was one the first customers!)

So how about those ceramic wicks? Anyone try one yet with this atomizer? Do they just sit on top of the heating donut?

Matt, have you tried them? Any plans to include them with the atomizer in the future?

Thanks!

i am going to , i wonder what they do ? looks like they will get messy with my wax and build up in it?
maybe its for ejuice?

anyway i am finally hooking up my website pro style with wordpress and a shopping cart with a secure merchant other than paypal. if anyone needs something email me and i will send a money request for the next week

next project is the dry herb 510 cart its getting its molds done next week for the prototype

my products are not patented yet, i like to think of them like --- linux -- they are all open source and anyone can improve them or modify them
i am never really satisfied, there is so much innovation needed, and until will get a vaporizer that has 1000 flavors of herb and can attach to my arm like below then i am not satisfied.

I really don't know what the big hype is about the ceramic wicks either. It may allow you to perhaps take more hits, but the quality of the hits take a beating. For me, I'd rather get 1 really satisfying hit than 2 lack luster hits.

Deep doesn't splatter as much on the cap, shallow is easier to load in the dark.
Can you elaborate on some details of the shallow and deep bowl. Is it true that the shallow bowl only has 2 air holes in the bowls on top of the donut. While the deep bowl has a total of 4 holes on top of the donut, a set of 2 holes on each side of the donut.

No one (including @divinetribe) has ever pointed out that it should be moved.

I'm using mine with a new shatter now, and this vapes best at 11w.

Used mine a lot since I got it. Still prefer the dabs at home, but this is my new portable cannabis vaporizer for my average non spesific on the go needs.

@divinetribe Hello, I'm a new fanboy of yours

Hey ceramic fans, I saw in OV's thread that they will be making a bubbler for their Unimizer. Can't wait to use it with my DT 2.5, thought I'd share for those who are OV-averse.

Hey everyone......
Saw this mod and had to share it, looks like a great match for the DT v2.5 ceramic atty !

(click on the 'this mod' to see it)

So far, all is still well on temp control, 20 joules @ 320 F, on and IPV 4S.

Take care all and enjoy those terps.
