Pen Imag Plus

I was just enjoying my Imap+ again. IMO 'a lot of vape' (quality and performance wise) for $55. It's still available for that deeply discounted price from PIU with free grinder and Priority Mail postage......not to mention Customer Service second to none if needed?

Anyway, as those who've used it know, it produces LOTS of vapor fast. A real stand out in that area I think. Otherwise it's a lot like FlowerMate (which I also enjoy, even more often) in that it's a short stemmed, temperature controlled, ceramic tube convection vape that uses a permanent perforated metal plate to close off the bottom.

However the dowel I use to load my FM is too big to fit the Imap+........ A clever design change I'd missed before? I think it explains part of the increase in performance. You see as the tube gets smaller in diameter it's volume goes down faster than the surface area of the walls. That is there is 'more square inches of hot ceramic to heat less grams of herb'. This I think increases the ability to rapidly transfer heat into the load to make more vapor faster at the same temperature. Clever.

It doesn't hurt that the temperature also seems higher when it comes to making clouds fast.

IMO this is not an accident, and makes for a nice feature?

So basically the bottom of the oven has a cone shape to it? I just ordered mine last night, I'm looking forward to it.

looks like the Imag+ will be awhile, I better send it to @Ed's TnT so he can get his groove on. For the benefit of all, of course.

Interesting idea, I'm not sure exactly how he'll do it. The MP is not 'round' (that is can't be made on a lathe) since it needs locking lugs so it can 'bayonet' into the body and lock. It also butts up to the oven body and may therefore experience more heat than in other vapes (note the Solo/Air has a metal end?).

Be fun to see what he comes up with, please keep us posted?

TIA

Yeah I have no idea what his intentions are? I saw his classified ad and it sparked some major curiosity, and I'm in no rush, so it felt wrong to not send it his way.

Thanks guys for all your comments and for the PM @KidFated. I may or may not be able to do something but have gotten quite a few request for me to give it a try and like I said over and over, yall know how I like to get out of the box! Just stepping away from all the 100's of solos and air and all else I do for so many stores, its fun to break away and do something different. Hell just thinking and getting stumped is fun. TBH the Louts has had me stumped for several months and just now have gotten a PT worked up, thinking is cool! There aint a whole lot of thinking involved doing the same piece over and over and over again. Dont get me wrong I love what I do, but its like sharpening pencils for a living at times! Thanks again guys!

Hi, I use my Imag+ to vape cotton I use to clean/reclaim my water tools, on blue setting produces thick clouds without the cotton after taste you get on red setting.

I get a full ziplock of little oily cotton balls near of my bed with my Imag+ loaded for insomnia, a quick and efficient way to medicate...but don't care to the taste!

Hi all, I still love my Imag Plus "Iron Version".
Have just ordered one more, Imag Plus "Ceramic" and "Imag Pen".

BTW, they are working on the Imag 3, looks similar to Imag+ but this one as a LED screen where you can view and set the temperature, like the DaVinci Ascent.

The Imag 3 should be available end of October 2015.
At the moment I can't say how much it will cost, as soon as I know it, will communicate it to you guys.

5. 3 buttons, setting any temperature as your favour,+/- button to choice the temperature setting.
6. The memory function of vaporizer will remember the last temperature setting.
7. Has elegant apperance and low temperature with the carbon fiber pipe
8.it companied with convection capsules and you can pack your dry herb at home and use it outside, very convenient.

Looks really really nice this new one! Friend of mine still enjoys his Imag+ one year later, maybe more!

Btw the Imag2 is a piece of garbage. Bad design, bad quality, bad vapor quality.....don't waste $ and your stuff on it.

And what is your proposition, with that amount of money.??If the imag + is garbage as you say, what is the unit you compare it?? Writting something without even a explanation is trolling, really.
Normally I must not feed a troll but I want to hear your answer.

Actually the fellow said "Imag2" not Imag+........this is what that looks like:

Not really the same thing, right? FWIW, I'm grateful for the advice. I sure hope folks don't confuse the two? I think Imap+ is a 'real steal' at PIU's current $55 price. Recommended.

I must say, I have a Imag+ "Iron Version" since midle of 2014, and I use it almost every day.

I use almost the Arizer Air over the day, and at evening I use my Imag+, I feel the Imag+ Vapor/Smoke is stronger, I know it combust a little bit, but I like it.

That imag 3 looks nice.

I liked the imag+ first version but mine stopped working after a month or two. It also had a taste... I wonder if that is still prominent with the ceramic oven.

It definitely cooked the herb good and even.

Mine does not impart any off flavours. It did have a slight smell out off the box but a few burn-ins on Red got rid of it. I've been using mine for a while now and it's my go to recommendation for friends looking to get a portable vaporizer
Idk what it was with mine (ss)... I let some friends try and they didn't notice the off taste either... Maybe I was used to using an enano.

If the next year goes well for me I'll probably have a some version of zion and an imag3!

Those capsules are such a good idea.

i had one of the sample units and mine dead in 6 months or so. i haven't replaced it yet but the 3.0 looks interesting. I wouldn't mind getting my hands on that. i use to know the pinnacle pro and having a capsule system is convenient. pinnacle's major problem was the mouthpiece would melt and it had poor battery life.
