Hey am i the only one who purchased a buddy storage?? This thing is a beaut i didnt think i needed it or would want it but its a great addition to my lineup.

I was thinking of picking one up, though I was thinking of using It more to carry a little bit o' stash, extra screens and the little wooden push rod that came with the Peace vape, Thought i could carry a 'dube tube' type plastic tube with herbs on one side and one extra glass vaping tube with a few extra screens shoved into it.

Don't know if there would be room for the 'push rod' though and see it as an integral piece for using the Peace, even though it just seems a easy part to replace with something else like a poker or chop stick to me it's not.
I've found from shaping and inserting the screens with the flat rectangular end to removing the top screen with the chiseled end Tommy's design of the push rod was well thought out to be as useful as possible with the Peace, ... Sometimes it's the simple little things that which are often overlooked by many that places a companies products a step above the competition.

Just from how amazingly perfect a pair of tweezers are with the Daisy and Lilly and how this simple squared off "stick" with one flat end and one chiseled end is perfect for the Peace shows the time Tommy takes to get the best all around experience for the users of Triihouse products.

( a quick question for @TriiKLe , even though it's such a simple piece are you going to offer it in the accessory section so we'll be able to replace the push stick when we eventually lose ours?)

:love:My Walnut Peace just arrived.

Initial thoughts: instant honeymoon phase

This thing really is as easy to use as it looks! As good flavor as my lotus, for half the price? I'm definitely gunna have friends that want this. The simplicity is genius :peace:

Am I right in thinking there's no way of getting one of these in Canada? I'm off to Jimmy rig my own peace style vape but pretty sure I want a proper one.

I'll post a photo later if I succeed......

@davesmith I am intrigued and.... well.... flattered.

This post caught me at a good time. My medible just kicked in.

At first I was like :uhoh:

And then I was like

I will take this opportunity to let you guys in on some of my design logic with the Peace and give you a few cautionary suggestions in "Jimmy rigging" one.

1. Make sure you have something to hold that is not the glass itself.

Obvious, I know, but the cool thing about the borosilicate glass is that unlike metals in this application, it will not oxidize or patina so there is no way of telling that it is hot with out your sense of touch. There are no sounds or sights to indicate heat besides the slow roasting of you wonderful herbs going from pungent green to golden, brown, and delicious

And also because I have burned myself, nothing serious but, once burned; twice shy.

In this application of a glass rod, heated for possibly minutes, with a butane torch , proportion is big factor to take into consideration. The proportion of your glass length, thickness, glass- holder, and herbal cooking area are some examples.

2. Use glass.

Borosilicate glass, at least. From my knowledge there are a few glass types out there that can take the beating of a torch over and over again, but borosilicate is quite popular already in the industry.

I would also advise against using any conductive metal in this application. Borosilicate glass is not very conductive at all and when used for the Peace application that translates to CONTROL - on top of the fact that you can see your herbs as they roast.

The combination of those 2 features is why I think a lot of you guys are having such good experiences with the Peace.

3. Ergonomics

Once again, hot glass rod heated for many minutes with torch repeatedly.

The shape, from mouth piece to the corners for the Peace was very intentional. Why?

Control.

Rotating the Peace comfortably and fluidly is significant in the Peace's usage. I always have to come back to the rotisserie chicken metaphor.

Also with that control is SAFETY.

We have tested round shapes and we had to go against using round. Why?

Round rolls. Either rolls off a table like a pen or just a little easier to squeeze out your hands accidentally. Remember the hot glass thing?

Another thing to consider with the Peace's design is that you can set it down on a table or flat surface with the glass still extended. Corners, edges, and weight distribution.

4. Diffusion

The wooden body of the Peace, besides being the storage, holder, and mouth piece - it diffuses the vapors and cools the vapors slightly. A cool thing to consider also is because of the way you draw from the Peace further diffusion occurs in your mouth itself.

There is more but,

now am like :whoa:

Happy Friday if you are from a country where Friday is the first day of the week-end.

Peace.

Oh yeah! We are working on communicating with Canadian Re-sellers.

Wow. Thanks for that post @TriiKLe I really want to support you guys and your business and want to order one but it said you don't ship to Canada? (I also don't have a postal address at the mo bit may be able to borrow one lol)

Can I just say your design and production are amazingly beautiful. A truely great design by the looks (and feel of my rudemetary style one).

So here it is.....

I used it once before I realised the wood I used is not safe (thanks fc fam). Also the friction fit glass fell from the vape, when hot, and I was naked, and well, I burnt myself. I'm not going to say where but you can guess. Imagine the worst possible place. Really.

I did however reay enjoy the experience of using it and have decided the style really suits me. I would love to own a peace and could see it in my line up for sure.

Just to say I'm jealous of you guys using your peaces and pack a stem for me! I'm off to hunt for a new bit of wood and rub aloe on my, oh wait you don't need to know that.

Stay cool triihouse people

Peace

Killer job in such a short time there davesmith in spite of the loose stem and need for first-aid.

even if that is treated pine of some type it ought to work fine for what your using it for i would think (i'm no expert on wood though) since it's not really getting that hot, it's more a mouthpiece then the vape with the glass tube taking the bulk of the heat from the torch.
(kinda like the wood is a smoke stone and the glass a joint)

maybe some silicone tubing or o-rings to help hold the stem in would be a good idea...

Cheers guys. It does work and the woods not exactly hot so I'm not worried about it but it was more to see if I liked the experience o using this style of vape. Which I do. So I may well buy one if I can get a postal address for long enough to wait for one.

Peace!

That is so awesome what you just did. I really think you are on to something.

Can you guys imagine if you can do that to other products out there? All the things that you would love to do that to. All the time and frustrations saved. Man, that was cool.

Oh sweet convection...I had trouble figuring out the hack but I think I'm on to something here and I can honestly say my Daisy is getting rest tonight for the first time since I got her! And for some reason I just cannot seem to put down my Peace tonight. The worst part is my Daisy is seeing all of this from only a foot away. I bet the only thing holding her together is that she got some group love this afternoon when a few friends stopped by.

Not the best video quality since I used my phone and lighting was bad but here is how to convect with Peace! I have tried many other ways only to find that the risk of combustion was way too high for my liking. The flame needs to be directed at the back of the flared opening of the heat intake. It only takes seconds if you get the right flame direction/size/distance just like with the Daisy. For best and quickest results I set the end of my flame about 1/4" away from the glass at a 45 degree angle with a huge flame. You will notice for two of the hits I increased the frame speed as I was not getting as quick of results because I had my flame directly on the glass which is too close for the heat to surround the intake. Just like with the Daisy, a little distance actually provides more heat.

In case you don't notice, you can see in the video I prefer to use my Daisy intake. The Daisy also makes a good place to store the hot glass if, like me, you don't have a buddy/homey storage from Triihouse. The Daisy tweezers make a great handling tool for hot glass. Be very cautious with the Peace. The Glass gets hot as regardless of whether you conduct or convect.

That was awesome and quite clever of you. But next time please use a darker background so we can see the vapor better in the cross light.

@nosmoking that is bad ass.

How is the vapor temperature/harshness?

I have to experiment that myself. A.S.A.p.

Based on how your convection set up works, I would guess to try adding a screen somewhere along the air path inside the vaporizing barrel, now the 'heat intake'. Maybe place them half way down the heat intake or right at the end before the herb chamber.

Screens can be used to diffuse air and add turbulence, both good for convection vaporizing, but you never know until you try it.

When I had mentioned using the Peace in convection mode:

What I do is place herb as usual in conduction mode, making sure that there is not so much herb that there is still a good half inch of open glass space before the flare.

Then I heat the glass that is in front of the herbage area directing the heat just as far as the second screen holding the herb in place. Sometimes I even heat the screen area as is if I am using the second screen as a heating element for the air to pass through. Because the glass gets hot enough, some conduction occurs also.

@TriiKLe With your method my impatience would grow and I would end up with a slight combustion often or too small of a cloud. Even when I tried to use it like a Ubie or like the Daisy with the material in the glass barrel I would get combustion way to easy, again mostly to patience. To get conduction to work for me I had to literally sit in front of my phone and watch you do it on your Youtube video just to be able to time out how long to heat. I really had a nice session with you, but I still wanted that tasty huge convection clouds and I wanted them to be as close to instant as possible.

I like the convection method I use and it works well on the Daisy also. I think a screen on the bottom of the glass would be a good addition as one issue I did have rarely was a piece of material getting blown back into the heat intake and then you have combustion. I did not really thank about diffusion or turbulence but I do recall discussion about turbulence and the whistle in the Daisy thread.

I found the vapor to be a good bit harsher than the Daisy due to the heat. The wood actually can collect a decent amount of heat with this method so you tend to still get more of that earthy wood taste. With some strains I think the wood taste is great, others it is like I just feel like a better strain wood taste better.

@Mister G I appreciate the suggestions and will take them into consideration next time.

Awesome convection mods! Gonna try them both soon.

On a random note: I have been using my 'vapor barrel' with my 14mm bong with really nice results. Awesome to puff on during a show, almost feels like a hookah since the vapor is so plentiful and accessible. Pretty sleek all-glass setup too.

I have also stopped putting a screen on top of the load, I instead pack it down with a ramrod then leave it alone. Might not be as convenient when using the Peace natively but it works great with a glass piece since the vapor barrel is upright. When the outside herb gets too dark I can then easily stir and voila - it returns to a tan color for 10+ more hits. :smug:

I'm going to have to give your bong idea of try but I must say the Peace in convection mode is really an awesome treat. I am still playing around with flame size, direction and distance to find the best way to achieve huge instant clouds. I think my newest mod may be the best way to go for convection so far...

I don't have a Lily so I bought a Lily heat intake thinking it was the same diameter as the Lily mouthpiece which is supposed to be the same diameter as the vapor barrel for the Peace. It is not, but I happened to have a grommet that is the perfect size to mate the Lily heat intake to the Peace. It works just like the Daisy or Lily now!

I have an ESV and a Daisy sitting right next to me, yet I want to play with the Peace!:D

So you use it like a lily now?? I tried the other method and couldnt get it to work but the lily method would be super easy.

So much experimenting fun to be done with the Peace! I'm still trying to perfect my packing/heating technique. I find the peace can handle both big and small loads without any problem. Do you guys use tight/loose packs? How do you position your screens? Do you heat all over or concentrate on different sections throughout a session?

I have found that similar to the lotus, flame length definitely plays a factor with the Peace. Too long of a flame and scorching/unevenness occurs. From my experience with the Peace, less heat is more. And while it may take a bit for the glass to heat up, it performs best when being patient versus torching it to death.

A suggestion would be to include directions with the kit in the future. Without watching the tutorial video, this thing could be tricky to those new to vaping (which this would appeal to because of the simplicity/low price).
