https://www.massdrop.com/buy/volcano-vape/talk

Going for $349, only one more day though so hurry

Dude you rock!!! I just joined........now for the wait. Has anybody else here joined by anychance?

Edit**Looking back on the thread NOW I see other people here were talking about the massdrop deal.

Thanks @Jared for the suggestion to buy used, I really thought about it hard for a while. Though these things I consider personal items for personal use and in this case, I would rather go new.

OK - I just about have myself talked into a Classic on Massdrop. Can't beat the price.

But I'd had my heart set on a Digital. I know it's not any "better" than the Classic - but I liked the idea of at least "knowing" the temperature rather than eyeballing it with a knob.

Anyone here have a Classic and wish they'd gone withe the Digi? Or should I just get off my ass and get moving?

Thanks in advance.

Get off yur ass. Never once regretted getting a cano, although mine predates digitals. I tried one with a friend and ordered tht night, lol. I just couldn't get over the taste of my weed vaped through that thing, and had to have it. Personally I wouldn't pay more for a digital, but I'm not that evolved I guess.

Hi :)

S&B says balloon with solid valve can be used 50-100 time; and balloon with Easy valve can be used a year long (for a daily usage).

I think I use rather 100 times a balloon (with Solid valve Volcano) and when I see bag is dirty I change it.

Yeah, I just change as I feel fit. Usually it's tied to when I clean out my solid valve since I do ISO soaks and scrubs of the parts.

It also depends on what kind of bags you use. I tried some Reynolds turkey oven bags and those barely lasted a month with my usage; they got cloudy, made more noise (despite starting out softer, when clean and new), and developed holes/tears far more easily than the OG Volcano bags.

This may have already been covered so I do apologize if so.

Does anyone have any incite or knowledge as to if/when a new Volcano model is in the works? I realize the Digital version just came out but they must be working on a new desktop model to replace the Volcano's "older" design??? Especially after the Herbilizer came out which is in direct completion with the Volcano.

I had the opposite experience with oven bags. Quieter until they got sticky, then exactly the same as S&B bags, never had a tear or hole.

Same experience here.

I have the classic, it's stood the test of time. After reading some of the herbilzer thread, I have my doubts that they could say the same in the future. I don't see a true rival to the cano anywhere. There are lots of very good vapes out there, and there is the volcano.

Went through - consistent with what was announced in their email.

I got a shipping notice today.

I cannot believe how much better my lungs feel after switching to the Volcano. I can actually take deep breaths now and man I just feel so much better. I'm making a conscious effort to get away from cigarettes and combusting for health reasons. In just a short time I'm already feeling a lot better.

This digital Volcano is definitely one of the finest things I own.

Does anybody have experience with Volcano repairs ? I have a Volcano Classic built in 2005 and my air pump is worn out ,it barely moves air anymore and it takes forever to fill a bag. I E-mailed Storz and Bickle about price and availability haven't heard back yet.
Looks like a pretty specialized pump ,not sure where to look besides the manufacturer.

I had a wheezy Volcano that worked but took longer than it should to fill a bag. I took it to the service center and they said they no longer carried a pump that would work with that Volcano. Hopefully you'll have better luck.

Yes, Oakland, I believe. It's very small. One guy at the desk. I'm not sure how many techs.
Thanks Hoptimum. I'll wait for his reply. Sure hope I don't have to scrap it over a pump. I removed the pump and took off three inspection covers . Everything is clean and pristine inside but some part must be worn however I wouldn't be surprised as it has seen ten years of daily usage.

Mine is ten years old, used pretty much daily, and wasn't filling the bags as fast as it used to. I took it to Oakland and they cleaned it out, changed the seals, screens and reconditioned the pump all for less then a hundred bucks.
So many people complain about the price of the Volcano. For me it's been very dependable and I have definitely gotten my money's worth out of it and then some..

I had a good experience with them also. I bought a used Volcano Digit that was a basket case and they repaired it and refurbished it entirely for $165. It's still filling bags like a champ.

Actually I'm impressed with performance and reliability of this vape also. It has seen a lot of use and I'd be happy to pay $100 for a repair but the shipping from Canada to Cali and back will be a killer.
I've taken it completely apart and it's clean and pristine in there...even the pump looks perfect but something is worn. This one takes a Nitto Kohki VCO100 pump which is used in the medical and industrial field for many applications. There are several large suppliers that have it but they sell in large orders only.

I just got a message from S & B in Cali. The pump is no longer available but if I send my old unit in they will replace it with a new one for $249.00. I think this is a good deal as I'm 7 years post warranty and I will probably go for it but seems a shame as these pumps are available from big industrial/medical suppliers but they only deal in large orders so walking into a local store and pulling one off the shelf is highly unlikely for me .
Oh the problems of the middle class.
