Discontinued Daisy vaporizer by Triihouse

My recommendation for fellow VAS sufferers is... surprise... get a Daisy.

I'm currently in on pre-orders for two other vapes, but since I have Daisy, I don't have the fits and anxiety waiting on them, they can just come when they're ready. Whenever I find myself jones-ing for the new ones to get here already, I just take Daisy out and I forget all about it. Nothing like hitting Daisy for big clouds while reading the crazy Grasshopper thread.

It's no 'cure' for VAS, there probably is no such thing, but it makes the waiting days go by like nothing....

Another confession while I'm at it. I'm too lazy to clean Daisy's screens. I used to torch them but they still don't compare to a fresh screen, so I just toss them and put a new one in every couple weeks. I have some extras but will have to pick up a bunch more next time I make a Triihouse purchase. I think Tommy will have some new things soon, at least I hope so, he seems to always be tinkering!

Pretty sure I'm well out of the Honeymoon phase with this girl, what I feel is the real thing after all...

Mine come out pretty much like new after torching and a quick brushing, think i'm only on my third screen in my Daisy. I only have replaced 'em once they're misshapen enough to let little bits of herb through at the edges.

But Daisy's not in daily use here right now and only being used a few times a week... guess that could make a big difference.
( I'm turning into a little lightweight here of late and am down to using around a Half oz a month instead of Two oz's so mainly use Daisy when I want a bigger quick sesh with a bigger buzz then whats become my new norm.)

@Mister G are you waiting for the vapcap also? I forget I preordered one because I've been using the Daisy even more these days. The thing is so fucking great. Fresh screen and fresh bowl , filled about halfway, but can't finish it in one session haha. Butane vapes are the future!

Yes, I pre-ord the Ti Woody. Looking forward to it, but .... Other vapes can wait...this is paradise...having a Daisy will do...

How much do you usually load in the Daisy? What is the minimal/ minimum amount that you can load into the Daisy? I'm considering the Daisy. I have a Vapman and love how I can use such small amounts of material with great efficiency. Can I load the same amount into the Daisy and have it work? I remember reading something about that the Daisy needs enough herb to cover the herb chamber...

IME I can load less in Daisy than Vapman and still get good results (I should add under normal use I fill Daisy probably more than most), but I have found that there is no need to cover the screen, yes you might only get one hit with a tiny load but it's a good hit.

Just checked and a full Vapman load tipped into Daisy's bowl covers the screen, so I though I would do a little test... I tipped the Vapman bowl on some paper split it in half and loaded Daisy...results were one nice hit with enough herb to load another, so even half a Vapman bowl is enough for one nice hit.

Soo one vapman bowl = 2 good Daisy hits. Good to know...I was afraid it needed to have the screen covered in herb. Man, the Daisy extracts quick doesn't it...Thanks a lot for doing that experiment. Very helpful.

Took my Daisy glass neck/mp out to make it clear again and noticed some reclaim in the end that was stuck in the hole. This has perhaps happened before but I've never noticed, a recent bowl had kief added to it, so I'm guessing it came from that. I did not reclaim it, it wasn't a lot, down the drain it went, what a waste, I know. :p sorry for blurry pic, I can't find the macro setting on my new phone.

Wow ,I've been thinking of finding some
Organic cotton to clean my MP ,so I could later vape the resin laden cotton.
I try to be efficient ,like the Fremen in Herbert's book Dune, when it comes to my herb.
I'm still waiting for the Trumpet MP.

So a little follow up... They say a picture is worth a thousand words

One Vapman bowl...

One empty Daisy bowl...

One Vapman load in Daisy bowl, three nice hits this time.

normally I fill to just above the little ledge in the bowl, I know I'm greedy and wasteful but it sure is fun :ko:

It's been a little over a month with my Daisy and we've had some good times (some I can't remember). This Daisy gets me f**ked up quicker than my Crafty. I do love my Crafty, but when I'm home and need to be medicated quickly, nothing like the Daisy. I also noticed I use less and get more hits (is that possible). Very tempted to get other Triihouse vapes.

Yes yes, more Triihouse wood is definitely a good idea imo. You know you need it in your life. Get Daisy a soul sister, she deserves it . . . (and so do you) :)

My LHS recently told me that they were in contact with Triihouse & were soon going to be getting all 3 available Triihouse vapes plus a 4th brand new one. Now I know you have ideas like, coming out of your ears @TriiKLe(!), but is this true? & if so do you have any infos? Pretty please?

I don't do social media other than this awesome board so apologies if you have posted details or little sneak peaks elsewhere like on twitter or something . . . ?

Trapped in the Astral Planes Back from the dead
Start off with a ½" flame. Only cover the screen with herb until you're fimilar with her. Stir. Stir. Stir. Make sure to cover the carb. Don't be afraid to change the postion and distance of the torch from the intake. Once you find the loud sharp whistle your there. Make sure to cover the carb. Tap the carb hole with your finger to take longer and bigger hits. Keep her waxed and beautiful. And Enjoy.

Edit. After 4 months of not smoking cigs, I can now make Daisy scream!

And don't forget about the visual feedback in the mouthpiece @RastaBuddhaTao ! A vapor technique you should already be familiar with :D

Can't stress the the righteousness of tapping the carb. I use a bigger torch, keep it higher and the tapping pulls the flame into the glass intake and lets it back off. This technique is the key to temp control in my limited experience.

I have had mine for a month now and am totally in love with it. Only used a Cload/EVO for the past 3+ years. The daisy was my first vape purchase in 2 years. This is the only vape I love that doesn't use a water tool of some sort. Didn't know about it since I don't pay much attention to the portables forum.

This vape is really an instant gratification full extraction desktop vape that is also portable ;)

Hey I head over to the post office tomorrow AM to get my Daisy! This is my first torch vape so any tips for a newbie?

Welcome to the club!

As others said, cover that carb to start and then tap tap tap slow or fast as you go to control the vapor, like morse code, dashes or dots.

Don't underestimate the power of the torch, a little flame goes a long way.

You will most likely combust as you get the hang and feel for it (like we all have), just don't let that discourage you, the combust funk goes away quickly as you continue to use her (about a couple bowls later its gone). I never combust anymore, but if you're careless it can happen.

I have a complaint... Daisy ripped my face off and I can't find it?

Out of the box it's simply gourgous. The way the walnut end grains come together has such a nice flow. The magnets are just the right strength and super cool how all three pieces come apart... Super convienent that the load block comes off... And the whistle of massive air flow is my new favorite sound. Killer thick glass large diameter stem for visual feedback is key as you learn the device. Great contrasting vibe from the orange silicone o-rings with the walnut.

Wow, once You figure it out (quick learning curve with all the tips Thanks all) she is a ripper! Amazing how even the vaporization is with a torch that close. The carb is a great tool and its fun to watch the vapor turn on and off. The rim on the inlet glass allows you to play the flame on the initial few draws.

What a nice way to enter torch vaping. Hard envisioning me ever buying any other torch vape unless it's a Trii

Haha fantastic first impressions RBT!

Knew you'd have a ripping blast with Daisy given what you've done in Zion beta videos, agreed with torch convection this strong and simple, why look elsewhere? (Only for battery!)
