So how long have you had your sub? How long before this happened?
Have had it since march this year so not that long it was about 3 weeks till the first one played up.The 3rd one is performing as it should so at least i can use it.

has anyone used Steven's dhgate straight fab with their Sublimator? If so, could you please let me know if there are there any tipping issues while the atomizer and apollo are together? answer will be much appreciated

From memory, It can stand on its own, but the slightest bump will topple it.

Does anyone have a setup using the 45mm glass adapter? I finally got a quote about how much the glass pieces costs and I was wanting to see if anyone has a setup, or multiple, that they could show off? I feel like my straight base launcher is shredding my lungs.

I own the Stainless Steel Apollo which i understand is intended for mainly flower use. But i am under the impression it can still do double deckers.

Well when i attempt them with a tiny dab very little vapor is produced. And when i do a normal sized dab the air hole intake become somewhat clogged.

Should i just stay away from double deckers on the apollo or is there a certain technique to it?

Also i tried turning up the power to 12 to clean off the air hole intake residue but not much luck. Any other suggestions to clean to create more air flow? I am considering a Q-tip with iso on it

I unscrew the end of my Apollo to get rid of the electronics, then I soak the end in a Powdered Brewers Wash with the disassembled atomizer and some boiling water from the kettle. Takes about 10 minutes and everything is clean afterwards. I also clean glass that way. Be careful though. It will removed logos from glass and anodizing from aluminum.

I use my Ti Apollo for double deckers quite a bit. I like the sledge hammer effect. I just turn my controller to 7 and let'er rip. Are you getting at least as much vapor from the dd as you do from just straight flower? How much vapor do you get from the dab normally at that temperature?

Damn really didn't want to take anything apart (less chance of me breaking it..) but ill take a look into that for sure to see if i am capable haha

i definitely get way more vapor from the flowers.

I usually dab on a nail around 750-850 which would produce a pretty small hit. Ive attempted at power setting 8 and 11 with dabs only and it pretty much produces nothing

This was done on an original Sublimator. I haven't had a chance to get my hands on the XLR, but I don't imagine the Apollo has changed much, and my mod would have you removing all of the electronics in between anyway. The only issue is that you wouldn't be able to re-use the same plastic casing, so you would need your own box to hold the wiring and touchscreen dimmer unit.

Anyway, ya, there is no timer with this, just a simple on and off switch and the touchscreen, so you don't have to worry about it turning off on you. What you do have to worry about is getting too stoned adn leaving it on all night, hehe.

Modnote: This account was banned for sock-pupetting.

I would like to start off by saying the Sublimator is very unique. When functioning properly it performs outstanding. I have seen a lot of negative post about their unit breaking though and thought id give my 2 cents and CONFIRM all those negative experiences.

My unit didn't even last me a month. It never was moved around or handled with mis care just to mention.

For some reason the AC/DC adapter indicator light went out randomly, even though it still powered the monkey controller? Ever since the indicator light went out though the performance dropped substantially, not extracting near its usual capabilities.

I contacted Planet Vape and they said to send it to Sublimator for repair.. then declined to reply to my next messages

This is absolutely ridiculous in my opinion. Sublimator and Planet Vape both know they have awful quality control. They have plenty of units returned for repair, not to mention thrown away after the warranty is over, but yet they still sale and over profit off a system that only SOMETIMES works. 100% Hit or Miss

Its about $65 to ship it for repair where I'm from. It really makes sense the fix would be a new AC/DC adapter. But they are too greedy to send me a replacement (which cost less than me shipping it for "repair"..)

For something i just spent close to $750 i should receive a much more reliable product or at the least much more reliable customer service. Ive sent in my VapeXhale a few times and they've refunded me for all my cost because they confirmed the issues with my unit. That is how business is done correctly.

I strongly suggest no one give Planet Vape or Sublimator any of their money. At least until they sale a reliable product or start to perform a professional customer service.

Id like to finish off by saying i own many vaporizers. I am just a vaporizer junkie in general. Favorite desktop is my Herbalizer. Favorite portable is my Mighty.

FC is awesome! Wish i could be on here more. Please keep up the great work!

The Sublimator crew was pretty great to me, but I bought directly through them. I dread the thought of having to send it back for repairs. Now if only I could find a good deal on 45mm glass.

If using the adapter bong kit and your own glass what's everyone's choice of glassware for the job? I'm looking at a full kit but as a back up and as its the aluminium version it's a bit lighter I'm looking for something sturdy glass wise to keep the sub where it should be on and not melting the carpet after a little knock if brushed past.

So I'm after something stable and thick, don't mind if it needs a drop down etc there pretty cheap to buy in but it's got to be above all else solid and stable, ideally something that don't effect flavour to much as I'd use it dry and want maximum flavour from each rip, not sure how much diffusion is really necessary using a sub on glass?

Any ideas? Seen recommend the fc1000 as its a big and solid bubbler?

I have been lurking in both Sub threads for a while now but I finally was able to take the plunge and order a Sublimator! I went with the Apollo SS adapt a bong. It should be here in about 4 more days so I can't wait! I have used the Sub on a few occasions at CCHQ in Vancouver so I am aware of how beast it is but its going to be amazing to finally have one of my own. :)

Was able to aquire a used sub xlr 2 (apollo) from a friendly member here.
As anticipated and expected it hits like a beast, I find myself loving the low temp area (yellow, 1 to 4 lights depending on strain and herb) for the flowers.
I had a flu virus the last few days and was happily surprised at how well other herns can be vaped it in too. Had great success fighting my flu with Chamomille and various other herbs

Looking forward to testing a double decker soon, whats the recommended dial setting for those, I guess more into red?

I hear the 8th temperature setting is good for double deckers. Not too sure though still need to try those myself lol.

TerrorTwist,
I am struggling with temp and amount.
Warm up time 15-20 minutes. Setting varies between 6 and 8.

I use a small amount but it takes a few draws to get it extracted. Or I get good vapour but takes more than one extraction (to much weed?) and sometimes not complete spent. Can some one tell me a way to calibrate this if that is possible.

There is an earlier post about heating up and expanding and cracking the glass that the atomizer is in. PV commented on letting it complete its heat before putting in glass piece. How do u do that given the equipment given us.

Ambient temp in the room will make your "perfect" setting change.. when cold turn it up , when warm slightly down

If you want the load to be vaped in one hit play with the size of the load.. If you do it in two hits it don''t matter but I like one hit... But never the less you don't really get a stale smoke taste with the second hit of vapor, at least I dont think so...

In terms of glass cracking and letting it heat up first
Do u have any idea on my second question or does that not really happen
