That is the auto-shutoff. After 18 seconds of inactivity it turns itself "off". Read: the power stops going but the switch is still in the "ON" position. Thats what you have to click it twice. What is technically happening is that you're just turning it off, then turning it back on.

Right, I understand that now, but it's not addressed or referred to in any way in the GH operating instructions. My point is, it really should be.

One more very minor quibble that I forgot to mention in my earlier post: I was a little surprised that there was no cleaning tool included with the GH. Even the cheapest, shittiest vapes I've seen out there include a little cleaning brush.

I got no brush with my solo, vaponic, lotus, enano, hammer, vapman - only my MFLB was delivered with a brush ...

Colorado herb is VERY dry which is what I usually have. When I was in Oregon I had very wet and sticky bud and I thought the flavor was much better. Also being here in VT my bud has regained some moisture and it tastes better than it would after this much jar conditioning time in CO so I'd say the wetter the b

Yes I've always found this too- I'm a self proclaimed flavour snob, so try to keep my herb a s flavourful and aromatic as possible. Stickier/moister bud is almost always smellier/tastier than bone dry, and I think this is because terpenes are readily boiled off at low temps, but are kept more stable when they are surrounded by more moisture. Bone dry bud seems to loose terpenes very quickly, and you'll notice this if you ever grow a crop and dry it improperly- when you cut it down it smells pure dank, when they go in the jars you can barely smell anything, and even a couple weeks cure doesn't bring back the aroma fully.

This is also why I don't pregrind my herb, because in my experience the larger surface area of the bud means the terpenes will evaporate more readily, and so the herb loses its flavour.

Conduction vapes dont generally work great with moister herb because it will gunk up small openings/ screens etc, but convection vapes are the bomb! Last year I had a couple plants out door, and was sticking fresh bud pretty much off the plant in the nano and the flavour was insane!!

That's the beauty of convection: vaping moist bud!

I was just in Colorado. Stopped at the weed store on the way back home. Herb we bought was not even close to "very dry", in fact, it was a bit damp even for my Underdog. 3 different varieties.

So, yeah, generalizations are not always that useful...

Yeah, you never know what any given dispensary will have any given time, when we were there we went to about 9 different shops and got a lot a lot of variety of strains, its been a while now but many were on the dry side vs the wet side I think I recall, but some definitely were plenty moist now that I can remember one in particular actually...

So yeah location generalization is useless, but moist being better for pure convection is the takeaway I think (at least in terms of flavor, imo its overall too though)

I'd rather it be on the wet side for storage (well below any danger of mold of course), but drier for use.
Flavor is important to me, but I don't feel like I'm missing that aspect by letting it dry until I can crumble it.

This was the first time I paid for weed in probably a decade. I'd still go with my local outdoor organic any time (especially comparing free to $20/gram after taxes!) though it's really fucking cool to be able to buy it in a store.

@zymos I'm definitely with you on the organic herb- IMHO organic always provides more flavourful and aromatic herb. I can generally tell the difference between organic and hydro through taste.

I find the same with fruit and veg- organic provides a tastier/ smellier/ more colourful and vibrant product. Organic growing certainly packs the terps.

One tip for any organic growers out there: around the 3 week flower mark, add a small bit of molasses sugar to your feed for one feed/ watering. I've had great results with this, producing the most dankest bud I've yet to come across. Anecdotal I know, but it really helps in feeding the micro herd of bacteria living in your organic soil.

Anyway, to keep this on-topic, anyone yet tried small unground nugs in the hopper, you know, for flavour? I'm interested in this because the nano shines flavour-wise with this type of load, and also in the vaponic, you still end up with quite a uniform extraction without stirring.

Another video for you guys:

Finished the load in 2 hits at setting 4.5.

And a pic of the ABV next to some fresh:

The ABV looks darker in pictures as usual, just a very dark brown.

This particular strain I've been storing with the new 54% Boveda packs, so far I like them. May hurt the flavor a little but the vapor seems denser.

Do you guys with experience know if I could buy one of those USB chargers like they sell at Target that's black and looks like an iPhone charger base, for the GH, or could the cheap ones like this damage the GH. I don't want to be charging it off the computer all the time.

Should work fine , I use mine to charge a # of my vapes on the go and it works great although I didn't buy a cheap one from target , I got a anker on amazon , they are always on sale and adjust there chArging rate to suit your device with some type of IQ smart technology. I had a cheap one in the past but the anker charges much faster for me and I never tried the cheap one with my vapes bc it failed on me pretty quickly. This is the one I have but they do sell many for a smaller fee with less mah : http://www.amazon.com/Anker-16000mA...?ie=UTF8&qid=1440297072&sr=8-1&keywords=Anker

Can anyone who has a GH with silicone tip comment on how well it fits into a female 18.8mm joint?

I see folk holding the tip against (what I assume are) 14mm female joints, but I personally would prefer not to have to hold the GH while hitting the bong.
It would be perfect if the GH fitted inside the 18.8 on my glass.

@jojo0420 - great vid again!

How's it work with small loads?
I remember someone earlier in this thread who got their GH pretty early saying it worked great with "just a pinch" and actually said it worked far better than fully packing it :)

Also @jojo0420 - many thanks for those vids :D
I've already pre-ordered, but if I hadnt, your reviews certainly would've pushed me over :)

Yes I'm more interested about to know how it handles small loads and how it taste good too cause lot of vaporizers can whitewall your bubbler like that (especially with a so big load)....although it's a great vid and you can't show how it taste good in the video.

I would like to see a video of the GH at lower level with WT and to see the abv after 2-4 hits like that.

I like how you see the vapor forming slowly as my MV does! pure convection!

Yeah @stickstones @b0 @emmdeemo
user @slcbdco has always been crowing about loading just a pinch and how wonderful it is and changed his life, to the extent people grew very tired of him here lol

Understandable to want a second opinion, but seems the pure convection works well, spiraling the heat through any load, though small looser pack you get more airflow and more even avb, better taste. Definitely working fine with .1g and likely even less, like @pakalolo's classic .07g should work great here in my research...

Videos of this would be nice though, vs the full pack max temp craziness like @PPN said

It doesn't fit at all, simply falls in. More than an 1/8" gap.

I will work on some small load videos soon, perhaps one at 3.5 and one at 4.5 to see the difference.

Forget who, but pretty sure someone said/posted a video showing an 18.8 m2m adapter works with the GH.

Can buy one for a couple dollars.

Or 18m 2 14f if you prefer.
