Trapped in the Astral Planes Back from the dead
Just checking in. Everything has been going very well with my vapcap. Still functioning like the day it arrived. still getting consistant hits of the same small amount. It is a great vap! I can't wait till I get my pyro, and ed tivap. If you got in on the preoeder you got a great deal.

@Petro I prefer this over my vapman. There are two reasons. The first is that it fits in your pocket. The tube is very slender and fits nicely, it is pretty unobtrusive. The second is that it is automatic. Even as much as I have used my vm, I still char a load now and again. This hasn't happened to me with the Vapcap. I don't think I have found one time I needed to heat past the click to get extraction. It will be diffrent for everybody but that is why it wins for me.

Just ordered the glass Vap and Ti body:)

being totally submersible in ISO for cleanup, the glass version should make an excellent travel vape.

being cig shaped too makes it discreet on the go.

also liking how You can preheat the Vap to temp in your lap and with the added ingenious temp click.

Im thinking my vaponic may feel a little lonely when the Vap ships.

I plan on making a woody Mp For the TI.

Best of luck George.

Does the Titanium Woody contain the glass tube inside it? The description on the website doesn't say it contains glass, yet I saw pictures in the thread where there was a glass tube inside the woody and I understood that the glass tube on the inside is essential to how it works. Is it different now? Also I saw pictures where the titanium piece is attached the opposite way that it is presented on the website. Is the bigger space, without the threads supposed to be pointing outwards?

Also, are rubber/silicone rings what holds the silicone mouthpiece to the glass?

Hey bro, it's probably apples and oranges but how does the VapCap compare to the Zion?

George was gracious enough to have me over to his shop yesterday. His enthusiasm for his products is infectious...I left the shop extremely pumped for the future of this start-up.

I'll be putting my vapcap basic through the paces but my initial impressions are excellent. The heat and click is intuitive and it has great extraction which leads to a nice vape signature.

The woodie vapcaps look AMAZING, esp in person. I must compliment George and Ed on these, they are stunning.

Thanks again George for having me out.

Anyone going to the cup this weekend stop in and say hi to him.

edit farmer I think I was there when your order came through, as he casually mentioned an order from Greece

It would be very unfair to try and compare these two. They are completely different. Well, I can compare one thing. Heat up time is pretty equal (around 5 sec.). But beyond that... Among my conduction vapes, the VapCap performs as well as the units I own costing >5 times as much . I will grab for the VapCap over the Ascent every time. It is faster, more efficient, and tastes better for ⅛ of the price. Also heats around 9 times faster. It produces much denser vapor than the original Hippie Vape and heats up around 20 times faster. Considering all the facts, I will say that I think this is hands down one of the best choices for a vap under $50. A additional benifit is that it is made in the U.S.A not in a factory in China.

I mean... I don't know where the parts and/or raw material come from... Are those all produced in-house?

@1_gr8_underdog, jfrsn, and/or @IAmKrazy2 how sturdy/delicate does the vapcap seem? How long do you think it will last? I wonder if eventually the heat will crack the glass.

At some point I would like to get the Woody or full Ti vapcap that George is working on (when it's released) for their sturdiness, but want to wait for reviews and comparisons to the original vapcap. Look forward to seeing all the future developments.

I'd love to see a non-tobacco vapor production video to build even more anticipation of the VapCap's arrival.

I'd like to also see a video of the Titanium Woody in action, as well as a bit more information about how it works, all of the parts, does it have a glass tube inside, does the tube need to be removed and cleaned, how do you do that, how is the titanium attached to the wood. Is it by pressure, are there any glues? I doubt it has glues, but would be nice to be reassured.

It is made mostly of glass. It is what it is. "How long" it lasts would be dependent on how you take care of it. As far as cracking from heat, i would assume this would happen within the first few uses, or with moisture being left inside while using.

Overall, try not to drop it constantly and you should be fine.

I remember reading through the entire Gnome Glass vaporizer thread, the all glass vaporizer. A good number of them ended up cracking from the heating/cooling process. Granted that was a different form factor, and I don't know if that means glass is definitely bound to break after a certain amount of heat ups, but this one has that steel cap on it, so it will be interesting to see if that helps it live longer. Oh wait, I just read that Dynavap is offering an unconditional lifetime warranty for all backers. Sweet.

If it's boro, it should be able to withstand herb vaping temps no problem.

Hmm...I just notice that in this video I see the cap, the body, and the tip, but not the tube. @VapCap So I guess it works without the inner glass tube as well?

Previous generation version before I had the internal tube was fully developed. As you have seen over the past few weeks, I am constantly looking for ways to improve the form and function of thus device.

I am now almost all set up at the cannabis cup.
Smiles,

George

^^^^ when can we order the gigantic version George?!? :whoa:

Good luck at the Cannabis Cup, George. Hope you get some good exposure.

I still char a load now and again. This hasn't happened to me with the Vapcap.

I like charring, really straddling the edge of vaping and combustion .

I think the VapCap will carve out its own special place next to my beloved VapMan. Thanks for your thoughts :).

Does anyone else here have the Peace? I know it's a very different design but it looks like the same method is used for vaping. Is that accurate? If so I think I'll get one of these. I burn myself with the vapman but not the peace. I promised myself that I was done buying except for the Zion and HI. I apparently can't trust myself.

Yes, I have both. They are both conduction style vapes. The peace is more of a session vape. Longer heat time(10~30 seconds.) But in it's defense it isn't marketed as a rocketship. The peace I find requires more material to work effectively. The peace is manual, with that comes the ability to vape for flavor or cloud chase. Where the VapCap is automatic. Flavor (which is very subjective)imo. goes to peace. Speed, ease of use, and repeatable results from the start, go to the VapCap. It is the same but different. Both are great, and work very well.

@VapCap very rainbowie. I think some will really like it. Each one will be diffrent (I would think,?) So it is like getting a custom piece everytime.
The dugout looks amazing. Claimed. lol.
