Discontinued The Grasshopper

Wolf46

Vapor War Team Cap
I would highly expect you would receive with your unit. If not, these look like a good alternative.
For the buck and change for 10, might be good to have anyway? They look like they will extend the vapor path to boot.
thanks, maybe i send an email to the grasshopper people in order to be 100% certain (i dont wanna buy another silicone tip if i already have one in the box)

another silly question, the actual grasshopper in their site is stil a some sort of beta unit or is the final model with the new screen and the ticker charge cable (and other fix)?!?

thanks guys!

Haven't been on this thread forever, still waiting for my grasshopper from kickstarter . Does there website indicate where they are in shipping out to their supporters in order I get their email updates put as years roll by I have no idea on timeline now. I forgot my order number etc .Lol adrenalin burned off a long time ago. Seems like it might pan out eventually and show up in mail

You are going to be waiting even longer than everyone else if your grasshopper is from Kickstarter.
(Cause it's actually IndieGogo.)
If you log into their site, it will show an estimated shipping date. These were mostly updated a couple of weeks ago, but should be taken with a large grain of salt.

Hi guys,

I've had the Grasshopper for a couple days now and have been using it for 5-6 bowls per day. I'm not going to write a super detailed review but below are a couple points that really stand out to me:
  • I use the vape with temperature stepping (i.e. take a hit on level 1, up the temp to 2, take a hit and so on). I'm genuinely impressed at how long a bowl lasts me. I get a good 2 puffs on each temperature level. Averaging 8-9 healthy draws per bowl.
  • Water-pipe usability: I used to love bong tokes but hated how they felt and how bad they were for my lungs. The grasshopper can attach to essentially any bong (and any bowl) right out of the box with the silicon tip. I have had buddies who are bong smokers only get huge milky rips out of the GH... it also really cools down the vapor and the clouds are oddly satisfying (EDIT: Want to make a note that this was not a selling point for me, I decided to try it out in a bong with my friends and immediately fell in love - I purchased some cheap $30 glass that is now vape only :) )
  • Loading really is tough. I'm coming from vaporizers like the Crafty, Pax and Volcano. I'm genuinely having trouble loading this unit up. The width of the chamber is a lot smaller than I thought and I have a lot of spillage loading it up. (I have very skinny fingers and still find it tough) Scooping works great but for a brand new device... really don't want any scratches!
  • Emptying the unit required a paperclip or a poke. Just shaking the unit and slightly hitting the side doesn't unlodge all the ABV for me. This may be because i'm loading it too tightly, hitting it too long, finely ground but etc. so YMMV
Overall, I love this thing. It's right up there with my Crafty as a daily use vaporizer and can't wait to test it out at a festival this weekend. I'm happy to answer any questions if you got 'em :)

I've put together another video.

A few more comments, more clouds.

The real cloud chasers will want to pay attention to the part starting around 4:40. :science:

Highlight: Finish a whole load in two hits.

Very impressive. Looks like it could unseat or at least equal the top desktops vapes on cloud production, certainly for the $$.

Is it possible to use the tip piece as a little scoop when it's detached? Then "spoon" the material in to the chamber?

Definitely possible but I dont think I would recommend it. Theres a screen in the cap and I wouldn't want anything to happen to it!

That's a good question, and I wish I had an answer for you. I'm not sure....
I may have swapped batteries between takes, 1 battery will do both loads plus more though.
More research is required.

Damn dude you took some huge ass rips! I couldn't believe you were going to attempt to finish that much that fast. That cough after the hits, too familiar. Damn! Lol:bowdown:

After that video I really want a gray ti model... And some better lungs! Holy hell that was a fat hit!

Has anyone brought up if the anodized ti will be more prone to scratching? And if it can scratch off? So hard to keep up with this thread, and thanks for that video

Kind of a random question, does anyone have the dimension of the mouthpiece intake hole?

If it's colored with electrical current, I would think the color would be all the way through.
