A first News exclusive regarding the "Quantum" has occurred, but as you have all stated, we are a bit cloaked regarding the full extent of all features. Over the next few weeks, all features will be disclosed.

https://thehotboxmagazine.com/indica-to-introduce-vaporizer-with-smartvape-technology/

You had me at smaller, but lost me with all the "smart" stuff. Seems gimmicky to me, especially the smartphone integration. I like the simplicity of the current one.

Hang tight, We've designed it for all users but maintained the original integrity. It reaches out to those who like gimmicky high tech programing as well as to those who just wish to volt and vape. What this vaporizer will manages do for you, is allow your chamber to heat automatically from the beginning release of the Terpenes to the final stage of large clouds extraction without a single press of a button (if that's the range you want) graduated over close to 30 to 40 hits. That's it's beauty. Recognizing accuracy and simplicity work well together, the Quantum does that and more.

I think this is the most interesting feature of this new vape for me. I haven't really seen any other vape do this except my Davinci Ascent, which was cool (it has 3 preprogrammed "settings" which can be set to run for X amount of time before heating to the next level) - but the menu interface is so confusing I never use that feature!

Goboof Alfa has an autopuff feature, goes up 3 degrees Celsius each puff, or can do it based on time instead.

The Quantum sounds like its much smarter than that though, more customizable, can make it act like old Indica with your ideal settings, or create your ideal experience overall, or keep changing every session if you like. Digging the versatility you're suggesting @Indica Vaporizer!

Any updates on the original reversions?
No idea what the current deal is with China economy etc, but sending good vibes your way

It's been while since I have received the replacement Noir from Mike for the faulty SS Indica that only holds the battery for 3 sessions. I was very pleased as the warranty was already 3 months over.

I have no doubt that even there are bunch of new products releasing every month and new market entrants offering products with competitive price, the Indica still remains strong on top of my arsenals and I do enjoy almost everyday while I'm out.

Mike always stand behind his product and I bet the new Quantum will be outstanding.

Besides crew, give bit more time to Mike so that he can sort out for you.
Launching new product must be time consuming..

I've seen images with different looking units but both have digital screens. Does this mean a digital screen and precise temperature control is standard on every indica?

I am a bit confused I'm sure all will eventually be answered.

That's the key Mike. Accurate and consistant temperature control. So many vapes out there are no where near the temps they claim and those temps fluxuate so much.

@Shit Snacks I'm certain the Quantums auto puff feature will be way nicer than the alfa. The Alfa starts at too high of a temperature. It's a nice feature on the vape as well as auto temp, but I always leave it on low anyway.
I should say left it on low. The alfa has a nasty habit of turning itself on in my pocket, so often that i quit using it.

I have very high hopes for the quantum. The Indica is already the smallest self powered vape on the market and @Indica Vaporizer is making it smaller, better, faster, stronger.... I am very excited for the Quantums release to say the least.

Keep up the great work Mike!

Gotta say I sold my indica a while a go,it was working fine and I bailed while the getting was good. This indica guy is a solid standup guy and I wish the best ...but when same guys are getting multiple failure units it is pause for concern . A design flaw or chronic assembly QC. Either way Ive decided to keep strictly with arizer only ,unless I get my grasshopper order from years ago! This Indica guy makes good with people and I hope they consider American or Canadian assembly as a option

@rizzo , thank you for bringing up the American assembly option. Within the next 45 days Indica is introducing our first American manufactured convection vaporizer which is known as the O2. Nice! Can't wait to see what this marriage is going to look like!

And speaking of Einstein, it is not lost on me that the Indica Quantum is also the IQ...

I think that is good news instead of a red eye to china,You leave your office and go down the hall to the assembly factory . That has to make a huge difference with control . Labour charges are higher but im sure returns ,replacements,Would drop
In Canada (we are friendly people) you would get a bigger incentive due to dollar exchange and we have best strip clubs in the world especially Quebec to boot if you set up here

The hotboxmagazine link stated that the new Indica will be $100 cheaper than its closest competitor. Who do they consider its closest competition? Why make a statement like this and not just give an estimated MSRP?

I'm guessing its closest competitor would be the current high end smart vapes on the market such as the Mighty by Storz & Bickel that sells for $399 or the Crafty that runs around $325. So that would put the new Indica around $225 to $299, that's kinda a large spread. Wish they would have gone into more detail than "$100 cheaper than its competitors". Oh well, an actual MSRP will have to be announced at some point.

I'm guessing its closest competitor is shaking. The indicaAlready has the best battery life, best size, great form factor, and terrific efficiency. Now improved?!!!!!!!!

I agree about the Indica having great efficiency, my herbs lasted longer than they do in my Pax 2. I also think the Indica created some of the tastiest vapor I've ever had in a portable. Where I disagree is battery life, I had 4 Noirs (all 4 had the dying heat chamber issue) and none of them ever got more than 45 minutes of vape time from full charge to dead. That isn't even a full 3 sessions for me, my Pax 2 isn't a lot better at about an hour. Battery life is one area I think Indica has a lot of room for improvement.

I got different results. Usually an hour of on time. I had about 6 noirs. I'd get 5 or 6 sessions normally.

Not to mention a lot less workers are jumping out of windows here in North America than at those Apple factories...:disgust: I hope there comes point where ethics around working conditions and sustainability come into play and it all does come back to local North American manufacturing economies. 'Twould be sweet!

Speaking of assembly and tooling, I wonder when we'll get an honest quantitative statement regarding arrivals of original Indicas vs Quantums vs O2's. It will be interesting to see which one becomes real/legit first. Any guesses to Indica's priorities there testers? :science:

I'd sure love to know which one to ask for so I may acquire one of these fine products on the shortest order, which may be around the next US election :D

I contacted support about my unit a month ago, was told to mail my defective one in, and did so the same day. Still haven't heard or received anything. Website says my replacement order is "processing" which is pretty disappointing after a month. An email with an explanation of delays would go a long way, but this is just making me feel I am ignored or my order has been lost. I'll probably buy a competing product soon (are we really supposed to keep a backup unit or other brand on hand in case of the inevitable failures? seems that way) and just sell the Indica if it is ever replaced. Not how I wanted it to go...

Apparently yes having a backup is pretty much a necessity, regardless of what brand your vape is. I actually posted exactly this earlier in this thread.

I had an iolite (butane powered portable vape) that would no longer ignite after I got a bad batch of butane and I just couldn't get it flushed out. I got the Indica Noir on release day, I even figured out the Einstein IQ code for 10% off. About a month after delivery the heat chamber died, I got a replacement and within a month the heat chamber died; rinse and repeat several more times. Finally back in February Mike just offered me a refund until the "fixed" Noirs were available. Turns out that the Pax 2 was just being released and a local smoke shop had a 4/20 sale, so I got the Pax 2 with a 20% discount. Without the refund from Mike I wouldn't have been able to afford the Pax 2.

So if you are lucky enough to have the money to buy a different vape I strongly suggest you do so, why wait? However when the "fixed" Noirs come out I would suggest keeping it. Not only is a backup vape a good idea, but you would probably get a lot less selling it than what you paid for it. If you really just don't want the Indica anymore I would ask Mike for a refund, I wouldn't take a big loss selling it 'used'.

I personally think at this point that a "fixed" Noir may have been abandoned, as I mentioned in a post a few months back. It is typically cheaper for a company to scrap a problem project and concentrate on the new projects than to try and correct a problem on an older device that is being replaced by upgraded units anyway.

So read around on the forum and pick out a different vape for now. If Indica fixes the Noir or offers you one of their other new products keep it so you always have a spare vape. Otherwise ask for a refund, don't sell it at a loss.

I'm getting no reply from the company at all, via email, a phone message, and PMs here. Bummer since this forum has indicated good customer service. I feel extra lame because while my Indica worked, I recommended it to about a dozen people. Now I feel guilty for leading them astray. I do have a spare vape (MFLB) but I am working in a different city for a few months and didn't bring it, thinking my new Indica would be mailed out within a month. Silly me.

I'm guessing Michael is getting things sorted still. I pm'd him too. Usually he's away for awhile and comes back to answer everyone. I trust that he'll do right by his customers. By refund or by product delivery.
