Well maybe because he's living in Europe, and thanks to the Americans pressuring the UN back then, it's super harsh prohibition land over there... and he got busted?

Or more likely it's August and he's enjoying well deserved holidays? :p

only if he got busted for something else. :) manufacturing of aroma therapy devices is not punishable. but the prohibition really sucks, especially looking at the many of the united states allowing recreational use nowadays. oh well, maybe someday. :)

Does anyone know of any vendors still stocking the Venus? The official site still lists 3 with the green dome in stock, but I'm assuming those aren't being shipped, correct?
I'm bummed that I didn't hear about this vape until after the creator disappeared. I've been thinking about getting a halogen vape for a little while, but can't justify the cost of the herbie.

I tried emailing Ville again last Thursday after noticing some updates on the site (compared to when I last looked at it a few months ago). No response yet.

Contacted him on Sunday about the pocket pot and got an answer (see thread). Since then no reply, guess he's quite busy... Hope so. :)

Here's news from ville- mainly about the PocketPot but also regarding the Venus:

[...]Yeah you can pass info, and I think it is true there community seemed amazing and it is possible to find solutions together! I cannot say yet any confirmation for dates, we will see! I'll try to get back there once I have little bit more time, now I am also organizing the production of Venus Vaporizer as I'm opening another production facility to keep up with the demand! About portable one, I think price will be in similar range as our current model Venus Vaporizer, 229-249 euros.[...]

Sorry for double/triple post. I'm not able to edit one of the former ones...

Just a short note for those who are interested in this one.
Ville is busy preparing a different version of the Venus for production. It's without batteries and the construction of the wooden frame is simplified so that the price can go lower and more people can get it. Same capabilities, just without portable power.

He also updated his other vape and posted about it in the meantime. Check out the PocketPot thread. :)

Is this version battery only ? It still gets my attention. Damn VAS...

It has internal batteries but can be same time used and charged with the included ac/dc adapter. Also compatible with our new 50W halogen bulb.

Oh, I'm sorry for misleading information.:(
@villekille2 Maybe you could add that info to your website. That feature isn't mentioned there? I looked there to reassure before posting... Couldn't find it. So, that's the story.

Have a nice weekend y'all
:peace:

@villekille2 Im having trouble deciding between Venus and Helios.

1. What are the main differences (besides the fact that Helios is plug-in only and smaller)?

At first I thought that it was the new 50W bulb, but not I understand that Venus accepts the latest bulb.

2. Why might someone choose Helios over Venus, if they use the same bulb and Venus can also be used as a portable?

3. I no longer see Venus listed as an option in your store, only Apollo and Helios Lite. Is production of Venus on hold?

Vapes R Great
Helios is more powerful heats up a lot faster I believe and is plug in only.
That is the main difference I think. My guess is Helios lite is the new Venus.

If I didnt have pay exchange rates and duties I would of already bought one and a Apollo by now I bet haha.

differences between Helios and Venus:

Venus is bigger because of the batteries, also weight is 160 grams more.

Helios has some improvements in the electronics, for example the vapor light can be active during the sessions, in Venus it is only available when boosting.

Helios runs with a 12V power supply, and Venus is designed for 6V because of the batteries. Availability of 12V Halogen bulbs is much better, so spare part can be more easily acquired locally.

Helios has 50W powered bulb and it is optimized for this. The fact that Venus runs with a 6V 50w bulb does not mean it is optimized for that. For example, the boosting power cannot be adjusted in Venus, and the full boost power at 50W can easily be too much, and this has been improved in Helios in the design and it even has the adjustable boost power from 20% to 120%.

Helios has more interesting visual effects in terms of "breathing LED" during warm up.

Helios has the HerbSense -technology which means that it conserves the taste of herb during relaxed sessions when the vape is sitting idle, by reducing the power in such situations.

3. Venus is not available at the moment. It will return later, now I expect it to be available in January.

Were the Venus issues solved?

Is everyone happy at the present time?

Would any of you recommend for or against a purchase of a venus?

I saw where someone mentioned a pdf file of instructions and quick start guide. If someone has it could you please let me know?

How long is the warranty?

Thanks

Venus vaporizer has returned as a new version. Venus special edition is a venue with latest improvements .optimized for 50w. 25s warm up. Superboost. Herbsense. Adjustable boost.
Venus Vaporizer Special Edition 50W

Limited special edition version of the legendary Venus Vaporizer.
It is now equipped with the 4th Generation heating element with nearly 60W of maximum power available.
HerbSense technology to preserve the taste of the herbs
Adjustable Boost power
SuperBoost mode
under one hour recharge time
Sony Lifepo4 cells
compared to the regular Venus, the biggest change is the speed. instead of 2+ minutes, this one takes barely over 20 seconds, thanks to the higher power and reduced mass of the heating element.
Also it is now possible to adjust the unit more, as we have added the Boost power adjustment.
Super Boost allows to release all of the power available in the heating element
And the LED under the glass dome is now active during the sessions all the time, not only when boosting.

The end result is the finest vaporizer we have produced.

Hello @villekille2 Can I send in mine for an upgrade? Does it work better without big lungs? Thanks from NorCal!

Venus can be upgraded yes. But if we would change to the special heating element it would be a complete rebuild so not much point, it's easier to build a new unit.

But we can upgrade the regular one with a 50W bulb and add the other new features. So it will be almost as good as the special edition but with a warm up time around 45 seconds instead of 25.
