Well tree, I think you've got the whole Zap thing down! That's a fun little set up you've got there. ;)

Love my SumoCRZ to the maximum degree and I am really enjoying the whip too. It is a perfect fit for an 18.8mm GonG joint, so it has been a joy to use with my glass collection!

But my RZ1 is still plugged in and see's a lot of love, how could I neglect her as she is one of only 7 or so

Are there two stems being used for that whip, one in the heater and one as a mouthpiece?
Sick setup either way :)

Thanks everyone, but all props should go to Rick and company...

There is a SS stem end-only w/ screen at the end of a whip tube that goes into the CRZ. The tubing is MFLB size & consistency for comparison. The mouthpiece is a short SS wood stem w/o screen. I do not know the wood type but its beautiful. Maybe Rick can help here. The other normal stem in the picture is primarily a reference for the short whip mouthpiece. The wood whip mouthpiece feels amazing! Ive really been enjoying the whip attachment.

Thanks Rick!

tree, your beautiful walnut CRZ got here yesterday. We will send her back today and she should arrive Saturday. I had to get Zaplady to listen for the tinkle after the drop because I could not hear anything with my ears, even when I used my 'good' ear. We finally figured out the mystery. I'll send you an Email later today with our findings. All is good for sure. Thanks for being so careful with her.
The mouthpiece on that little mini whip is a very short wood stem(ss lined) without a crimp or screen, a straight through shot. We also have some glass mouth buds in the works. We are waiting for some independent reviews before releasing them. They can be real handy at times.
Both wood pieces shown in trees shot above are Maple.
Winter is here. Barrel wood stove back in the shop and fired up yesterday which was very nice. I have been working in the pre-heater fall shop temps for a week or so and did not realize how cold it was getting out there.

I just received the email showing my 1st Zap is on her way. I'm so freakin' excited and can hardly wait til she gets here. Now I just hope this snow storm doesn't delay the mail.

My zap is here and she is more beautiful than I could have imagined. Now I need to practice my draw technique. Practice makes perfect so I think I might practice all day :brow:. I have read this entire thread and have picked up a lot of good advise. This is my first vape of any kind so I know there will a learning cure. I'll post some pics of her later today or tomorrow.

Thanks for creating such a wonderful product Rick.

lol i still have my cherry stem holder i got earlier this year with my first zap order. its definitely very convenient, i couldnt live without it, well not as comfortably and conveniently anyway. i love to pre-load stems so that i can just grab one and go, esp if im in the middle of a game or movie or something.

although less so now days, since i've been using my gong stem almost exclusively, i dont really prefill the others as much as i would if they were all gong type as well... need to get more i guess.

at any rate, i asked rick about getting a stem holder... i think it was late last month, so i could get a walnut one to match my zap, and he pretty much said theyre not available yet, but will be again in the future once RZ sale slow or he has time to catch up or something along those lines.

I think he might have mentioned moving from the previous design with a few holes drilled into the wood, one for each stem, to more of a cup design with one big opening to put them in. I personally prefer them to have separate holes for each stem, so that they stand more upright and when you pull one out its doesnt possibly partially dump another. not to mention, the shorter gong stems might not lean up inside the cup-design stemholders as well as with their own little hole to sit in.

Even if I dont plan on doing water-filtered hits, I just use my bong's downstem as a stemholder

Haven't found anything else around the house that works quite as well

Hey, I had a question about the gong stem. Since it is very short and also half of it is in the downstem of whatever piece you're using, isn't there a pretty big risk of grabbing the hot metal part when you pull it out to clear it? Is this not a problem and if it is what is the way to avoid it?

Junk shops, amazon, garage sales.... On the AromaZap website itself.
Zap Stem Holders abound!

It is possible if you had really large fingers, but I've never had much of an issue after a day or so of getting used to the shorter length.

I've found the shorter airpath makes for a definite increase in performance for the CRZ

(side note, i have an 18-->14 reducer downstem so it maybe goes in even further, and still not a big issue)

I made my own stem holder, its not nearly as pretty as Ricks, but its perfect for me. I added some extra holes for other tools i use when vapn cause i used to lose them all the time.

I'd love a stem holder, and i've got some myrtle laying around up there in Idaho somewhere...

Been busy lately, so just FYI. CRZ is still rocking like a hurricane :ko:

hello all, can someone tell me where i can get one of those tiny cup style oil holders?
I am sure Rick can answer that for you, return2heaven. The cups are great. I am an aromatherapy fan, and
this is a big part of my "Zapping"! :)
