Thats some damn funny shit righthere! I do have a design for a thermally activated temperature control switch but not for this unit. This needs to stay balls out manual like an HD with open headers and a suicide shifter mo'fo. Just needs some American muscle steam punk. HD think hard on some bad ass styling for that thing... Needs to be some brushed metal on it. Everything needs to be heavy and rugged... Old school American manufacturing... Needs to scream Industrial Age... Highway 66 shit man. Maybe some gnarly black marbled exotic wood. Come on FC....what u want this beast to be? Calling all crowd brainers!

It's hard as hell to think when your in possession of this thing. This vaporizer should be made from the bare bones to all frilled out. Fancy buttons battery doors Could even inlay some type of metal panelling. Or carve or sand some finger grips on it. I've thought about that with the 14 single batt also.

All killer ideas... Karma was talking about adding pistol grip form to the single battery. Like the idea is some metal inlay plating. Maybe laser cut?

You can start a line where they will all be custom orders. Like cars do. A few different options in a few different areas(colors, specialty woods, buttons, hell even battery size). I like that sleeve idea @phattpiggie threw out. This type of communication is what made me follow you RBT. Cool as shit. I'm lucky that I/we offered our opinions to you and I'll be god damned if you don't try to knock em out of the park. Are they 100% winners from the start. Nope. But that's all the fun.

Hehe.. Was thinking of that kinda style too. Or even textured/haptic like a hand grenade. Pure explosive power :D

Doubt it. We tried running Courtney like that and "kinda" start to get there, a little and she's the hottest of the zion beta fleet.
Zions aren't slamming the raw power that this beast is.

After further experimentation I find that yes, I can achieve some degree of this vaping style with my zion proto, after a preheat of several seconds at the highest setting, turning it down to about half, high flow draw and let off the button when I start to 'feel' it in the throat. Knee buckling dab-like monster full flavor rips from flower. Harshes out my throat after a couple-three though. I don't know if it's the temp or just the overall quantity. Egads, the exhale goes on and on...

Honestly, I think this full force approach is going to make a huge splash, as that's appealing to a lot of folks. You're sort of turning it into a custom mod for plant matter with these options, which is a pretty cool idea. It might be good if it had a built in thermal fuse to ensure if it is stuck on that it won't melt down. Otherwise, no thermal limiting needed :) if you combust, it's "by design," because it's user error.

I'm normally against LEDs, but hear me out: if seeing the vapor is mandatory for use of this vape, could a low-emission LED be added (no need for ultra bright, the stem is clear glass), or perhaps a LED added inside the body. With just a pinhole access to the outside, to limit how insanely bright it is? It would be nice to add visibility if it's a key component of use.

I wouldn't necessarily say mandatory. It is for new users but now it's all done by feel of my throat. That's the best way I found last night to tell people right when the heat levels off let go of the button. Or with the more lighter weight people just let go when it's warm. Every one pulled good vapor. Some pulled great vapor. It's fun seeing their eyes widen as they keep exhaling vapor out.

Impressive. Good to know there are other simple tricks that work. On some manual devices it can be tough to get the right timing.

Seeing the vapour is not the key, you have to learn how to detect it by the taste and heat of the draw. By the time you see it, it's too late.

By the way, there's no need for the LED to see the vapour unless you're in the dark. You can easily see the vapour in any straight stem by just looking straight down into it. Since you are looking through vapour the long way, you can see even wispy thin vapour that you can't see looking through the side of the stem. I look straight down my stem all the time, especially after a hit to make sure I've cleared properly.

I haven't really posted any thing on the flavor side. To be honest the clouds and effects from said clouds kind of well… clouds my thought process. Well I've been able to get a pretty good feel for the heat and trigger. This morning I loaded a 1/3 -1/4 stem (roughly around .15) Decent amount not a lot though. I didn't attack this bowl. First. 3 pulls were almost choking. I've got some friends that it would be way too much flavor. They think my firefly is border line on too much flavor. So I started seeing minimal wispy vapor on hit 3. I waited till hit 4 to really get good heat to it. Big clouds still real good flavor. I look at the load and it's still green with that golden hint starting to form across the hole load. After the stir I couldn't take it anymore and had a full on huge hit. By that time the taste has lessened but it's still a nice flavor. After 2 more hits the load had some charr on top but I should of stirred between hits but I pushed it instead.

The only draw back I see in this is it's a tolerance destroyer. Holy crap. It will set new highs as far as tolerances go. IMO. And in my experience. I'm sure a fancy all frilled up unit will look good. But I like the minimalist look and feel.to each their own.

This is a true manual unit. It's all in the hands of the user. You have more power than you need with the ability to baby this thing along. It's not all or nothing. My problem is I've always lived my life with the mantra of WFO. Wide Fucking Open
By the way my ability to take an in focus picture with my pos phone is turning into a difficult task I'll keep trying today.

This monster sounds very similar (in terms of usage) to the flashvape with a 3.7v battery and stage 2.

I have been building coils for wax in a RDA. I just recently had to let the wife use my mod as hers broke so I had to bust out my Aspire cf sub ohm mod. The aspire is not variable anything just basically straight battery power and puts out 40w. I learned real quick that with the coils I was building it was a beast of a dab rig and required a lot of finesse with the fire button. You basically have to hold the power down for 1 sec and then hit the button maybe 2-3 times afterwards at a 1/2 second each time. Some people can't follow directions when using it and end up getting to massive of a rip and it ends up tasting like shit cause they burned the oil! It's funny shit though cuz when that happens like 90% of the time they are passed out in 30 minutes!

The TOD sounds a lot like my RDA dab rig. You better respect it or it's going to slam you upside the head with a bag of bricks and you'll wake up later going WTF :bang:

Awesome..flavor is so important to me. Can't wait to get this in hand. Get her cleaned and on the road HD!

I have a handful of places i am planning on taking the triangle the end of next week if it is here in time. The Zoo, Detroit Tigers game, and the Canabis Cup in 6 days. There will be lots of field testing this unit off the bat.

The FV Turbo with 3.7V battery is the fastest hottest thing I've used that didn't plug into the wall.

@HD Springer, could you put in a load and time how long it takes before you can see vapour if you don't hit it? That will tell us something about how much conduction enters the picture. For the Zion, this time is about 40 seconds when turned up to full power, so there's no conduction at all under normal use. For the FV Turbo 3.7V S2, it's 6 seconds.

I am not saying anyone should ever try it, but 2) 18350's in the FV is twice as fast. Don't do it.. :)

I was thinking you'd need it for night operation, and that it would be acceptable to sacrifice a little stealth when you're basically a weed scented fog machine. That thing puts out some seriously dense vapor, based on video.

Well @pakalolo I put a load in and applied heat. I hope I didn't do any harm but it didn't produce any vapor. 1:05 in. I don't want to hold any loner I think the wood got too hot. I took the glass mouthpiece off and held it in my hand at the end with the load. It got warm but not very hot at all.The load was not touched. Looked just like it did when I loaded it. Very surprised. The unit started to smoke out of the bowl when I removed the stem for a sec. smelled like wood.
