IMHO and respectful opinion, you can get alot more innovative, interesting designs for less from other outfits, such as Mobius, the Wilsons, Toro, etc..
Don't look at it as having 400 to blow, look at it as having 180 left over after buying a ridiculously nice piece that you researched thoroughly.

So hey guys, do a glass thread. I mean, it really is cool bouncing up to the top of the Vape thread. There are lots of different ways to do that as we all know but you are talking glass related to all vapes and/or log vapes. vbeazy is right, this subject should have its own thread. We do appreciate all the glass/tamer/buster/filter/squeezer/milker/whatever info but these are supposed to be product threads. For the here and now that means the CRZ. You fuckers will have a very popular thread prolly.
Back to CRZ news, we had several orders on Monday/Tuesday of this week. Your orders will not arrive til Monday next week. I was hoping to get them out for a Saturday arrival but have added an extra day to our post assembly QA processes and we had a short shipping week. They are all complete and on the test bench but will not ship til tomorrow or Saturday, both shipping days arriving Monday.
We will have more of those beautiful Black walnuts up soon. They seem to be popular, especially with the smooth lines.
Picking up Tooties tomorrow so we will be catching up on those of you who ordered them way back, almost a month ago, at the beginning of the CRZ rollout. We are also adding the option back to the CRZ products since we can now deliver with no customer wait time. They will be up as a separate product also.

Real question: for you other crz owners, how hot does the wood on your unit get? Around the top inch or so of mine can get blazing ass hot when left on all day (like too hot to hold) just curious if this is normal or more due to the design of the wood on my particular unit (the wood is thinnest up top)

I think it may be the particular wood/design. I have one of the "Tophat" models (not sure of wood type) and it doesn't feel any hotter on the top outside than a hand warmer. Very easy to hold. The outside "ridge" of the Tophat design may provide a little extra insulation. I have had mine plugged in for 3 1/2 weeks now.

It would stand to reason that the more wood at the top, the cooler the temp. Mine is hotter at the top, but not so hot that you can't touch it. Feels great on my arthritic hands.

mine CRZ is thicker at the top but is still really hot, the bottom is holdable but because its thinner its also pretty hot.
i have poor circulation so my hands/feet get super cold when the temperature drops just a little, so i dont mind at all.
especially with winter coming!
(that being said, a CRZ with a thicker bottom and thinner top would probably be better for comfort holding for most people)

mines pretty hot, but definitely not uncomfortable to hold. I will say that its definitely warmer than I thought it would be, with the added layer of ceramic. but my RZ is one of the smaller ones and i can tell the wood is therefor just thinner than older zaps ever could be, so it makes sense that its still as warm to hold as they were.
So theres been probably 50-100 loads put through this SS GonG stem and still no screen cloggage, airflow's still more or less identical to how it was brand new. Havent been doing anything differently, just tapping the abv out and then blowing through stem to make sure its clear. At this rate, it looks like i could use the same stem every time and still not have to clean it for months, easily.
One thing I have noticed about the GonG stems is that, while they're less prone to wiggling around in the GonG than regular stems, i think they would be even better if the nylon was thicker/wide. This way the tapered part could be bigger, and fill a female GonG better than the relatively skinny stems can now.

This thing truly is a beauty and smaller than I expected which is great. The unit and all the pieces have a very nice look and feel to them. Can't wait to try it out tonight. I'll post a review later!

It seems like so long ago we talked about our regular old Brass zaps with excitement.
I LOVE my RZs, but I still use my old Zaps.
I thought I would bring you old Zapville residents down memory lane!
You recall , Rick had gifted me an old Figured Walnut Zap, that had a flaw.. and he called it a "Second Life Zap.. because of my post Coma involvement with 2nd Life.
Ravin' is her name and she never made vapor well and she traveled back to her maker.
The diagnosis was not good, for even with a new innards, she had a "heat sink".. she was destined to sit on the sidelines and cheer on her sisters, as she made the house smell nice.
Sometimes old Farts overlook the obvious.. and I decided after all this time to try a 13.5. transformer.
We used to talk about them all the time back in the Old days ( a couple of months ago) I just forgot.
OK so here is a trip down Memory lane, with a traditional old Zap a Second Life Zap coming back to life once again!

I don't understand why the RZ would pull only clouds as big as the Ravin @ 13volts. I would just think that ceramic would superheat that shit, but surprisingly the RZ does not like running at higher voltage. Anyone have experience with this?
