Discontinued VapeXhale Cloud EVO

In search of the best terps and smoothest vapor
As someone who has no experience with advanced glass (before last week anyway) I can tell you I enjoy my honeycomb. I love the hits I'm getting from it. You can turn the heat way up and take super hot rips that are really tasty. Compared to glass I've owned before, I know its awesome. But I don't know enough to tell you WHY it's awesome lol.

Cleaning it can be challenging though. To get it "reasonably" clean, a daily swishing around with PBW and hot water will work fine. To keep it SPOTLESS... it's hard. My top chamber collects resins buildup and its hard to get it clean off. Because of the size and shape of the piece I'm having a hard time submerging it in boiling water, which is what it needs. I can plug up my sink and load it with hot water, but boiling all the water required to fill up my sink enough to submerge this thing is not economical or really doable. And I think I need a bit more temp to really get that tough res all the way off.

I could use a deep pot and fill it with super hot water. Put it on the stove until it boils, turn off the heat, then put my PBW filled honeycomb into the pot and it's basically close enough to submerged.... but then I worry about cracking the piece... Anyone have any thoughts on that process?

Anyway, simply swishing hot water and PWB doesn't get all the resin off this piece. The top chamber for whatever reason is proving difficult. It gets most of it, but not all of it. Still, amazing piece. It just bothers me I can't get it 100% clean for the past few days no matter what I do.
I use one of these:

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00442SK0W

I use my hottest tap water and PBW, submerged and soak overnight. A rinse with hot water and it comes clean for me every time.

I had a similar problem with the Hydrabomb which should be the same to clean for all intents and purposes. I also had build up of some resin in the top chamber like you do, nothing serious by all means but annoying if you like clean glass, which I do. Anyway I tried the boiling water thing and while it did manage to help it was not perfect and I also managed to burn the shit out of myself and nearly drop the hydrabomb. A few day ago I went with the 70% ISO first, then some boiling water, then let it sit in an ISO/water mixture for maybe 10 minutes and finally repeated rinses of water and it came out pristine! Not saying I am an expert or even a novice at this point but whatever I did worked very very well.

Funny, I have the HydraHoneyComb (love it) and I don't have any problems cleaning the top chamber but the bottom can be problematic. Going to try some of these other methods mentioned. Thanks for the tips!

I see in your sig that you have the Hydrabase...any opinions about that used with the VXL glass? Everytime I'm on the website I can't help but to click on it as it intrigues me.

I'm a big fan of the glass I have gotten from them. Typically I throw my HydraHoneyComb on top of the Hydrabase and crank it up to 2-3:00 and let 'er rip! They Hydrabase adds yet another level of diffusion but honestly I really don't notice much taste loss. I don't pull it out all the time but it's nice to have.

I also use the Hydracycler when I have concentrates (which is not often) and sometimes I use it with flower if I want to sit back in bed with the EVO on my nightstand and I run a whip into the Mini Cycler. Flavor city!

Am I the only one that regularly packs the ELB close to full?

I usually take my fairly fluffy grind (Santa Cruz Shredder) and fill the ELB nearly completely. I don't pack it down though, just leave it full but fluffy.

Caveat, using this method, I do stir the load every few hits with a toothpick.

I find I like to do this because I take many hits before a reload. I find the clouds usually take a hit or two to really start forming, but the first hits are still very pleasant.

I'm still experimenting. Normally I would say my ELB is around 65% but similar consistency to yours and I don't pack it down. And I get three to four full flavored hits with the honeycomb. I stir after that and I get a few more hits. Seems to be the best way. Any more and I feel like it doesn't hit right. For me and my preferences of course. I do load smaller bowls sometimes. I find between 25-50% to be where I get sweeter vapor. Less material fewer hits. In my experience. But if I load it too much I find those last few hits to be less than pleasurable anyway. I almost feel like smaller loads are the way to go. I'd rather just get sweeter hits with a smaller load. Because I can load it as many times as I want :)

I recently got some higher grade flowers than I usually get. With conservation in mind, a clean ELB, and a 25% load and proper time to heat, I got three full flavored, full vapor hits then it was kicked. No stirring. And I was a happy boy.

I have found the airflow to be more restricted when I fill too much. I fill now about 1/3 and don't pack it down, as when I hit it it's just going to rise to the top anyway. If I want more, I just pack more than one bowl. Swapping isn't exactly difficult!

Hey guys! Long time lurker, and sometimes poster. Today I finally thought about getting one of these babies, and after browsing some classified ads, I came across an user on Reddit with an insane coupon. I have no idea where this coupon/sale came from, but I managed to pick up the basic unit today for $294.98!!! And that was with shipping! The coupon is "FOUR20GAMES", in case anyone is interested in using it. The guy said it was supposed to end yesterday, but it worked today. Here's some proof.

One of the amazing unique characterictics of Cloud/EVO is that you don't need to stir at all unless you pack the ELB really full.
Fluffy load to the very top still doesn't need to be stirred to finish it completely.

I find the clouds usually take a hit or two to really start forming, but the first hits are still very pleasant.
That's true for full bowls.
When you load the bowl 0-50%, the vapor just starts going almost instaneously.
The fuller it is, the longer it takes to start going. And that stetches even further every hit.
Because the lower parts of the load are already vaped, the hot air has to warm it up first before it get to the top.
This doesn't happen on smaller bowls - there you just get and instant hit and then it's finished.

And here I'd like to return to my previous statement - that you don't need to stir to finish even full bowls.
Yes, the full bowl can be fully vaped without stirring as the heat CAN go the very top, but slowly at the end.
I'm not saying your stirring is useless, it's just making the start of vapor going sooner again.
So it helps to speed up that super slow full-bowl finishing.

I find I like to do this because I take many hits before a reload.
I rather just reload more often and don't worry about stirring. But everyone can hit the EVO as they want.
Your way is also possible and I've done that a few times and there's nothing wrong with it.
Yet I think the Cloud performs best at half load because of easier airflow, quick start of vapor going, no need to stir, and no untasty remainder hits.
btw: I sometimes like to pack the bowl full and vape it on low temps. That gives A LOT of hits that can get both milky and really smooth. A quite different experience to to insta extraction of small bowls on high temps that I usually do.

This is not true in my experience. ANY size bowl, no matter how lightly packed, can always have at least one more hit squeezed out if I stir it.

This plus 1000. I thought the "load less" thing was BS too at first because I got more hits per ELB if I loaded more. And I'm lazy and that appealed to me lol. But smaller loads do improve airflow and I do get better vapor. In general. Glass and temp variable of course.

I second this question lol. Are there noticeable differences between hyratubes?

I was curious about this as well. Obviously there will be some subtle differences but say I was bind folded and I had my hydrabomb and say someone brought a Honeycomb would I know the difference. I would like to think my Hydrabomb have become pretty good friends over the past month 1+ but I am still curious??

Ahhhhh....my last ELB just died on me. I ordered 2 packs of ELBs from VXL direct on August 13th. I received my shipping confirmation shortly thereafter, to my address in Santa Monica CA. When I checked the tracking today on August 16th, the tracking information said "Delivered, at Mailbox." But the city it was delivered to? Clarks Summit, Pennsylvania. ????

Emailing the support team now. As a medical user I really need the ELBs for my pain management. I'm not supposed to be combusting at all, according to my doctor--my lungs just aren't good enough to risk it. Of course, I know SM55 and his team are great--have spoken to him via reddit before. Wish me luck.

Here are pictures of the confirmation and the tracking info: http://imgur.com/a/4VKnf

Any advice on where to find my Vapexhale tracking number?? Ordered a new pack of ELBs around 6 days ago, my order says fulfilled on the website but I haven't been emailed tracking nor can I find it on the website. I'm sure it's coming, but due to business obligations it would be great to know when it will arrive. And my last ELB officially ended its usable lifespan last night, so it's back to combustion for me until they arrive....

Probably a stupid suggestion but I do think I got an email when I ordered and when it shipped but the original email went to my spam folder.
