Don't take for granted everything they sell in A'dam is top shelf, but more probably your cooling unit got sticky with oils produced vaping herb, before thinking to return it, I'd clean it with isopropyl alcohol. If that is not available I'd try with alcohol or someone said ethanol.
Edit:
Almost forgot, it's very common in A'dam to be ripped off with non cured buds, they sell you wet buds also to charge on weight.
Smoking is less.of a problem but vaping not well dried buds can be the reason of your problem.
Hit Haarlem, less crowd, the beach, and way cheaper weed.

I tempted to return the crafty to azarius (it's possible right? ) and buy an imag+ ceramic or an alfa goboof...
..........................................................................

I looked at Azarius site and am very surprised that they do allow returns:
This deals with mail orders pieces but it should be an option.
Could you go there in person and have them try it with you as you might have a rare Crafty with a factory obstruction or something as your Crafty should be getting you high. Have you done enough to have clogged the cooling unit with goo OR sucked enough mj dust/debris into the CU to clog it?
Something seems off with your Crafty

Cooling-off period

To be honest my first session with my crafty was disappointing. I felt like I wasted ALOT of money. Over the next couple of sessions I definitely changed my mind and appreciated what the crafty brought to the table. Give it time.

I'm a heavy user, just not a heavy portable user so I prefer the stealth of the crafty. If I was a heavy portable user I would consider the mighty, but I would miss the bluetooth app 'cuz I'm a geek :D

I use Apple and mine has never not worked so I'm maybe not the best person to give advice here but...

Rather than reinstalling the app have you tried going into app without connection, then go to settings and 'connect with other crafty' maybe putting your crafty serial number in again might help.

Never tried this myself so not sure if it's even possible, just a random thought.

I cleaned my cu again yesterday. This time I left it in the iso for 8 min instead of 10 and I soaked it in water with dish soap after I rinsed it under hot water. I then rinsed it again with hot water after submerged in soap water for 3 min. I dried everything with bounty paper and let it air dry for 8 hours.

The first 3-4 hits were different but it went away and started to taste normal again. I think I will do this all the time now. The soap water helps remove the alcohol taste from the plastic. The last time I was left with a nasty taste for a good 3 sessions before it started tasting normal again.

just to be sure you´re doing it the same way. i am curious because i think none of users here experienced this weird iso taste after cleaning. Me neither and i soak CU for 20 minutes at least and i don´t even use soap. then i let my CU air dry for 8 minutes at max and never really never tasted like iso. And are u using 99.9% iso or ?

Toggling the blue tooth off and back on works for my android phone. My ipad never gets connection issues. If the crafty is connected to more than one device it will give priority to the one used most recent.
So if I used my ipad for the crafty and I pick up my phone and open the app, it won't connect....hope that made sense

So I'm going on roughly 65 hours of usage (at work right now so I can't give the exact time) and my Crafty now seems to be experiencing overheating issues. This is something that has started to occur within the past ten to fifteen usage hours and I'm not sure why? I thought that perhaps the battery was over exerting itself due to a clogged or dirty cooling unit, but that doesn't seem to be the case because it happens even after it's been cleaned. I don't know if the battery is in a degradation phase right now and it has to work extra hard to keep the vape up to temperature...? I still love this fucking thing and I get some great sessions out of it, but now it will switch off half way through and I have to wait for it to cool down before I can continue. I'm operating it at 375 F by the way. Any feedback is appreciated, thanks everyone!

I had the same problem. Call S&B, they will send you a return shipping label to have it replaced. You will eventually turn the device on and get the orange and red flashing lights of death. Good luck!

I think some of you are working too hard to clean your CU!!

I never soak. I have 3 or 4 que tips. Film can full of 192 proof alcohol.
I remove the CU.
I then rub a alcohol soaked que tip all over the INSIDE of the CU.

( you guys who SOAK the CU are working too hard since only the INSIDE needs to be cleaned.

I gently pull the screen and clean the "intake" under where the screen goes.

REPLACE THAY SCREEN!!

Then I just use a que tip to dissolve and absorb all the GOO...

I run the que tip into the mouth piece without removing it... just run it up and in a few times while saturated with ALCOHOL!!

I am able to clean the CU to the point where there is no (or very very little) smell.
Since the Alcohol I am using is PURE and 192 proof. it evaporates almost as fast as it cleans.

Anyway I tried "soaking" and realized that that was a waste of energy.

A post alcohol wash with DR BRONNERS mint soap works great IF your CU gets post cleaning alcohol residue on it it may become sticky. a little scrub will do the trick.

I do not believe that ALCOHOL is any good for plastic. it weakens plastic. SO I say DONT SOAK, use que tips and clean it out with the tips.

this way you don't have to remove the HOLOGRAM (when I did a soak I left it on and there was no damage.

I guess what I am saying is do not over think the cleaning of the CU process. it is not that complicated and does not need to be.

I was cleaning really hard to deal with the smell. I realized that my simple method was just as effective as "soaking" and was way faster.
All of this is based on the fact that I may vaporize 1/4 oz a week. That 1/4oz creates plenty of GOO and smell so a cleaning weekly is required.
I will guess that many of you put WAY WAY more through your crafty. My method will work equally well for you. You may have to do it more often.
One thing is sure a well used CRAFTY can really smell. and thats not good if you are trying to be discrete.

I say GO FOR IT!!!

The reason to soak is to reclaim all that goo and get it back to a 'vape-able' state...you should try it...Enjoy the fruits of your labor!
Iso soak all the peices and after you use the alcohol a few times evaporate it all to make oily reclaim or partially dillute it to get a tincture (only with grain not iso)
BOOM!

Someone on here reported getting a unit running 2.08. I haven't heard of anyone else getting 2.08 though.

There is no 2.08, somebody called and asked S&B a page or two back and 2.07 is still the newest. One person said 2.08 and everybody ran with it lol.

I was the one who contacted S&B and I can confirm to you all that there is NO 2.08 firmware at this time. I would like to know who was the first person to state that because I did read it a few pages back and a few people did run along with it which is why I contacted S&B in the first place since my crafty was just a week old purchased directly through them. They said firmware 2.07 is the most recent version available and that they do not have any newer models. I felt stupid once I was told that because I asked them why I didn't receive the latest unit. I didn't really ask them if it was true or not.

It's just another example of how misinformation usually turns into facts on forums. We all need to be careful on what we post and the info we give out.

No offense but I didn't watch the video. I really appreciate your help but I know how to take apart something for cleaning lol. I don't mean to sound rude so I hope you don't take offense to it at all because via text it's hard to judge someone's emotion and how they meant to say something.

Believe me, there is nothing else to take apart unless you want to break the cu in even more pieces. I take apart everything. The only thing I didn't take apart the first time was the hologram and that's only cuz I read some say not to because it could break. This second time I did remove the hologram however. I don't know why I was left with the alcohol taste and I can see I'm one of the only but its def from the plastic because my solo and air stems never once tasted like alcohol after a wash and I used to leave the stems in there soaking overnight. What I'm starting to think (and funny you mention the 99.9% iso) is that the iso I'm using it too strong. I stated already that I'm using 99% iso (99.8% to be exact). I clean my cu after every 6 hours of use which leaves it lighty resined and barely any particles (since I use the fine screen in my cu that's used in the bowl as well) so maybe the 99% iso is not necessary and doing more harm than good. I may try 70% iso on my new cu I havent used yet and see if I notice a difference. I don't like letting my cu get too dirty and I actually enjoy cleaning my vapes.

Thanks again!

You should feel stupid for believing them, I don't have v2.08 or claim to BUT
when I saw picture confirmations of the new housing here, I called s&b and asked them about it and they said there was no new housing...that was simply untrue. They answer questions sometimes before they know for sure (kinda like me)

If you ever soak the peices agaim, just run them under warm water for a few minutes and if it is STILL an after taste, you may want to look into some alcohol alternatives.

Hi mark :)

70% ISO ? Be careful what compose 30% left....
ISO 99,9% is best to avoid toxico-chemical or perfume that we do not need to clean vaporizer.
You can build your 66% ISO by adding 1/3 water to 2/3 99,9% ISO
You might also change ISO brand to soluce your issue
But it is safer to use 99.9% ISO

Thank you for the tip. I was thinking about just diluting the 99% iso I have already. I hope this will "fix" my issue. I have rinsed my cu with water long enough and I still had the alcohol taste. Maybe my taste buds are more sensitive than others? Lol idk...
