PHVES are some nice stems. I really like my vortex from them and i also have there 18mm adapter. , I also recommend checking out the EdsTnT wood stems , perfect for more airflow , huge clouds and they wont break like glass. If you love your air they are the perfect fit for it.

Dare I say it?... with the PHVES long stem, it's almost nano-ish. I do love the small size and feel as well, and of course not be tethered and a tight fit (air drums is ok) makes it so practical for just lying around the house or out and about. Hitting hard right now on some first round ABV with another round of taste and clouds.

I love this freakin thing!

How do you mean that it is the stem is the part that makes it un-comfy?
I am assuming the stem would be inserted in the chamber while its in a pocket

I ordered an Air from puffitup last night. I originally went to puffitup looking for information about the Pax, which I still don't know much about, other than the fact that it seems pretty sweet. However, the first thing I noticed on puffitup was the current fantastic deal on the Air; a deal I couldn't refuse.

I had already read much of the early part of this thread, but I was just getting into the good stuff. Now I have to go back and try to catch up.

I don't know much about any particular vaporizer, or vaporizers in general. I had never seen a vaporizer in person before 12 days ago, when my AroMed arrived. Will be nice to have a portable/back-up option.

I also ordered from PIU due to the special promo. I have not used a Pax2 but owned the original Pax for 2 years and was happy with it, however, the Air is better. I have no ragrets

Well worth the $10 w/shipping. Fits surprisingly well. Took a bunch of hits on red even though I have allergies right now (dry itchy throat) and it cooled really well. Only thing I noticed when I stopped getting satisfying hits with the WT, it was still satisfying without the WT, when inhaling directly. But it was then cool feeling since the hits werent that thick. Seemed like a good way to go if you like to really cache your material like I do. WT for a bunch of red hits, then dry for a few.

Takes alittle bit to learn two things. Water level needs to be right so it bubbles correctly (lower resistance with the water alittle higher but not to high it comes out when you inhale). Second tip is to inhale and and when you goto clear dont pull very hard=no water on your lips.

I messaged the seller and asked how much for just the tube, they did $10 shipped to US. Turns out they sent the accessories anyways. Oh yeah one more tip. I bought two, both function well but there is some quality control issues (to be expected with cheap chinese glass); ones perc isnt straight and the whole thing is slightly out of round. Certainly nothing that would bother my friend who will be able to use it outdoors while MBing. The other (in the picture) is really good for 10, surprisingly good actually. Mine stands up very easily so you can put it on your desk without much fear of knocking it over.

I actually use my nano stem connected with the nano silicone to a small aa stem that I cut in half. Am I right in thinking that the nano stem is longer than the long pves vortex stem?

With the nano stem attatched the vapor is too cool. It's weird. Can you still feel some heat with the long vortex?

I am enjoying the PVHE Vortex so much, helps me understand what ppl are saying about draw restriction, because of the air huge flow with this stem. Like it a lot, a few more should be arriving today, can't wait to test...

I just think it's bad ass you got two Airs.
so do I :mental:
I paid $220 cash in a LHS for the first one, and get Randy's deal on Puffitup on the second, shit, I may get a third. I got a Mighty, but to me, I feel like I'm vaping a cell phone (not because of taste or effect in any way, awesome product), but just in a tactile / visual sense.

I seem to feel at home with the cylindrical nature of the AA, Solo, Nano, and I love the glass stems! Basically, I'm just having a fun old time.

Because they are that good? At least that's the reason I ended up with 3 (one of which is on loan after loan) but I personally have two kicking around, an early one and a new version (IMO not a worthwhile upgrade expense, but......). Since I have a charged one in standby I basically don't change batteries right now.

I usually have one put up in a 'war bag' (with spare battery, herb, charger and so on) so if I goof up charging and get 'caught out' I usually grab the fresh one and swap units after recharge.

While I can't recommend more than one (unless you want to) I think folks should definitely consider one........and then you'd know why another one is attractive?

Damn..! Is it really that much of a difference? Maybe I should order one... Is there a EU seller? Haven't found one..

I got the vape fiend micro bubbler...which has these air grooves. Can anyone compare how the airflow is?

@Bravesst : what heat setting you go up with th vortext. Guess it has to be max. to benefit from the less restricted airflow?

I have not but does it do it when heating from cold?
Mine is first run with no battery meter.

Speaking of batt meter The newer air with meter, when charging does it blink through the colors as its charging red-green?

Like the solo will clash the number as its charging.

Nope, it's just blinking green... And when fully loaded it's just on green w/o blinking

Came to read about grinders; fucked combustion
My Air arrived today. Can anyone give me any quick tips regarding things I should do before using it? I think I already know everything I'm supposed to know, but I would just like someone to correct me if I'm wrong.

Thanks to this post (http://fuckcombustion.com/threads/the-arizer-air.16415/page-240#post-824012), I have already had it charging for an hour or two.

One other thing I've already read, I think, is to turn it up to its highest temperature for five or 10 minutes before using, to clean it.

That seems to be the important stuff, but if I'm missing anything, I'd really appreciate if someone will let me know. I have already read a large chunk of this thread, but reading can be kind of physically difficult for me, as my left optic nerve is scarred, which makes each of my eyes see something different than what the other eye sees. This has been going on for over four years, and you never get used to it. Also, this cannot be corrected, because it's in the nerve, not the eye.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Hey mister!

Welcome to the fun. To be as efficient as the air just read the best of thread. Lots of good stuff in there: http://fuckcombustion.com/threads/best-of-the-arizer-air-thread.16610/

You can't do something wrong with initial burn offs. I didn't need it to do but would recommend it.

Have fun, it's a great device

I think you've got a good grip on it and should do well. Reading the thread is good insurance.

The eye thing is interesting. You do know that this 'problem' (different views from each eye) is common to all men (and women)? We see two slightly different 'worlds' through each eye. If you hold your thumb out and line it up with say a tree in the distance your eyes see one tree and two thumbs.....something that clearly can't be, so your brain 'corrects' the views. So, from your early life when you knew mom didn't have two noses you developed a 'dominant eye' that wins out in disputed cases......not always your 'best eye'. For instance I'm 'right eyed' like most even though my left eye has better vision. It's extremely important, for instance, you shoot a handgun or shotgun from your 'strong eye side' even if you're left handed and right eyed. Rifles not so much so.

"Cross dominance" (right handed, left eye or left handed, right eyed) is pretty common, IIRC about 8% (1 in 12). However, basically every major league batter that ever hit over .320 was. True story, it gives ball players a natural advantage to have 'their strong eye' facing the pitcher. Almost nobody knows this.

There's also a natural flaw in the eye, a 'hole' of sorts where the optic nerve enters. Your brain 'fills in' the gap since it knows it's not there. This too is easy to test for. IIRC it's about 8% of the total field of view for adults.

The point is this is correctable. I'm surprised the eye doctor hasn't done so? It usually involves wearing an eye patch so you are forced to adopt the other eye as dominant, but you have to be good about wearing the patch (I went to school with a girl who wasn't and suffered a long time until she did).

You learn vision over time. There is a classic post war experiment where an army volunteer wore inverting glasses (used prisms to make stuff upside down). After a several weeks he could play catch again and even ride his motorcycle (which was done in the desert where there's nothing to hit should the glasses come off.....). IIRC it took about half the time (still a few weeks) to recover once the glasses were removed.

Your health, of course, your call. Please excuse me if I'm meddling in your affairs?

Best wishes with your new Air, it's a keeper IMO.

I start green, but I usually do no matter what. I don't grind, just pull off some real small nuggets. Sometimes I stir, or dump and crumble and reload. If I want to totally spend bowl, I bump up to orange, red, or leave at green and keep ABV in my grade A ABV jar for revaping later.

I'm sipping at green on my PVHES right now, at least 10 big hits off less then .04g (when I say at least 10 hits I mean it, there may be 15 or 20 in there if I got the RH just right - loving Boveda and have taken to keeping a small one in my daily go-to stash, so my high humidity area doesn't bump up the wetness at last minute)

[EDIT] Still sipping, second 10 minute round on AA

and @OF, you are so freakin' smart, getting an education reading your posts...

To add to the eye issue. I was diagnosed with Graves disease over 10 years ago (thyroid / eye disease). It causes your eyes muscles to bulge (think Marty Feldman), can impinge upon the optic nerve, and cause major vision problems, usually heavy duty double vision (each eye sees something different, "strabysmis" or crossed eyes (common in children) can do the same thing, but the brain eventually puts it right. My dbl vision was intermittent, mostly when the muscles fatigued, and my brain couldn't put it right. I had surgery and radiation therapy, and years of really positive thinking and today it's about 90% gone, except I can't look all the way up, and playing pool is out. It did end my career as an FDNY captain (worst part about it).

I can empathize with anyone who has eye issues, as at one point my optic nerve was threatened, but thankfully it remained safe and sound. I'm a lucky guy, and even my thyroid reset.

As far as owning 3. Hell yes. I have one these in my hand almost all day at home. It spreads t he workload around, and I have about 10 batts and 10 stems. Always ready to go, I can see a third being ideal, but I have a Solo, so it will wait just a while. At $160, it's one of the best things out there (really at any price AA suits me perfectly, and that's what matters most).

I'm pretty sure this is not correctable. If it is, there aren't any doctors out there who have a clue, either that it is correctable or how to correct it; possibly excluding Dr. Terry Wahls, who does not specialize in MS, but has MS, and has improved remarkably through a special diet. (I have very little respect for the modern medical model. As far as I'm concerned, it is a religion. Which I suppose is why the modern medical model has never even come close to curing multiple sclerosis, or even improving it, yet why most MS patients seem to think they have been helped by the poison that obviously doesn't help them.)

This is part of multiple sclerosis, not just an isolated injury or medical issue. My optic nerve is basically eroding. I have had optic neuritis twice in my right eye, for a month or two each time. Then this happened. It never went away, and I don't think it ever will.

Thanks for your long, helpful, excited post. And if there is anyone who will take your optic neuritis tips seriously, it is me.

I saw one of the best Neuro Optomogists in NY, Floydd Warren at NYU (he also teaches), not sure if he is still there, but he was "the doctor" I had to see at the time.
