How many hits are you guys getting per ELB? Also if you wouldn't mind tell me how much you load it.

I'm getting variable hit counts still. Sometimes I get a ton of hits but they're thin, whispy vapor hits. I'm finding my favorite tasting vapor at around the 1:30 mark. But when I hit it at that temp to get the big white clouds I like seeing from this unit, I'm only getting like 3 hits then a fourth wimpy one. Maybe a fifth. And that's if I very ligthly pack it about halfway. . Now DONT get me wrong. I'm not complaining. These 3 hits are magical beanstalks to the promised land. I'm just curious what you all do I guess. I'm still trying out different techniques. Be cool to hear about how you guys get extended hit counts or do you find less, more intense hits to be your choice?

I am seeing 5-6 good hits. Now the volume of everyone's hits are different but being a "lightweight" I get 3 sessions at 2 hits a piece with it being unpacked to about 60% or so. I mentioned this in an earlier post that I was astounded by stingy the EVO is with flowers. I have not had the privilege of using concentrates but hopefully that will change at the end of the month.

It depends on mood. I sometimes like to get multiple tasty hits and other times I prefer 3 face punching hits!!

I drove myself sorta nuts when I got my first Cloud and was trying to figure out this stuff. There are a lot of variables. Your herb, grind, load, heat setting, glass, pull, kind of session you want - all of these affect the size and intensity of a hit. As @Cannabis Connoisseur posted above, it just depends on what one wants at a particular time. Keep your loads no more than half (even less if you want the big clouds) to optimize overall performance. Other than that, you're in control with the heat setting you like and your rig and how you like to pull. Getting 3 big + 2 small hits out of a half ELB sounds fairly typical. But there are folks here that will pull 2 huge clouds out of that load, with maybe a whispy 3rd. Some like a small load, use a larger glass piece, and pull one huge cloud after a primer hit. One member here likes to sip at a lower temp, and gets like 10 hits per load. The key point is that the EVO can accommodate whatever style(s) you like, and you can be assured you will get optimum extraction. You find what's just right for you, for whatever the occasion calls for; that's part of the fun of a "connoisseur" vape.

I like my vape around 10:00

Thought so. The hits looked a bit thinner, so I just wanted to know if it was the temp of the piece (first time I've seen the Hydrabomb in action). I figured it wasn't the glass, but you can never be too sure ;)

How do you like the bomb anyways? Have you used the EVO with any other glass?

I'm a bit of a irregular user for the EVO. Have used it with a bunch of different glass...but never a hydratube. Closest I've come to that is using the EVO with a small Simba Water Tool and a Planet-Vape F-Bomb :D

I've used the Evo with a standard 18mm water pipe. It's 12 inches with a turbine perc. It requires a lot of force so I kind of HAVE to take bigger, faster hits than the hydratube. I started getting some pretty intense clouds when I figured it out. I prefer the Hydrahoneycomb because the hits just taste and feel a little better. And I'm still getting impressive clouds if I want them.

As such, I'm always a man of two minds. While blowing those clouds is great fun for the party animal in me, the nerd in me thinks it's maybe a touch... wasteful? I go through ELBs pretty quickly that way. I can get more hits and get better flavor if I turn the heat down a bit and even more so with the hydrahoneycomb. There's also another part of me that maybe just WANTS to like the hydratube more since I paid way more for it...:\

But there's definitely a place for both in my life.

I like the hydrabomb a lot actually. Before I bought the EVO I was using my Herbalizer paired with my mobius, but now I rarely see my herbalizer or my mobius. The EVO + Hydrabomb gives me the exact experience I want from each session. The hydratube is just so convenient and effortlessly pairs well with the EVO.

What do you guys think is a better tube suited for concentrates strictly, the honey comb or turbine? I'm looking for something smooth, I currently use the adapters and whip to my very small rig that's not diffused very much so I'm sure all would be an improvement but I wanted the valuable fc input before I spend some money.

C) The hydrabomb.

Really I figured the bomb would have less diffusion given its design but thinking about it I don't want a restricted draw either

The diffusion is actually really good on the hydrabomb and the ease of draw is borderline criminal.

61reissue,
I have the hydrabomb and turbine. I don't like using the the bomb with concentrates because while it offers a nice smooth hit, it also gets insanely filthy with dabs. All that diffusion grabs a hold of resin with ease. I personally prefer either my turbine or Hydraline. I have a Klein Recycler Hydratube(custom unavailable) that's my preferred dabbing piece. Just my :2c:

Thanks for that info. I am getting some at the end of the month and was not aware of the cleanliness factor!

Hmm well I want to take advantage of the 40% off so I can only pick from the bomb, honeycomb and turbine. I'm leaning more on the comb and turbine I'm really but really on fence about it.

As someone who has no experience with advanced glass (before last week anyway) I can tell you I enjoy my honeycomb. I love the hits I'm getting from it. You can turn the heat way up and take super hot rips that are really tasty. Compared to glass I've owned before, I know its awesome. But I don't know enough to tell you WHY it's awesome lol.

Cleaning it can be challenging though. To get it "reasonably" clean, a daily swishing around with PBW and hot water will work fine. To keep it SPOTLESS... it's hard. My top chamber collects resins buildup and its hard to get it clean off. Because of the size and shape of the piece I'm having a hard time submerging it in boiling water, which is what it needs. I can plug up my sink and load it with hot water, but boiling all the water required to fill up my sink enough to submerge this thing is not economical or really doable. And I think I need a bit more temp to really get that tough res all the way off.

I could use a deep pot and fill it with super hot water. Put it on the stove until it boils, turn off the heat, then put my PBW filled honeycomb into the pot and it's basically close enough to submerged.... but then I worry about cracking the piece... Anyone have any thoughts on that process?

Anyway, simply swishing hot water and PWB doesn't get all the resin off this piece. The top chamber for whatever reason is proving difficult. It gets most of it, but not all of it. Still, amazing piece. It just bothers me I can't get it 100% clean for the past few days no matter what I do.
