Was going to join this drop on Massdrop but I wasn't sure at the time.

what is the long glass rod with a screen in it for?

Is it for direct inhale?

Not exactly sure what you're referring to, but pretty sure it is the stem. So, yeah I guess you could call it a "direct inhaler". You get one with any nano. Basically load your material into the screen end, connect to nano for your heat, draw from the other end. The other popular way to use it is with a GonG adapter. A shorter piece of glass that mates with the nano on one end, and a GonGed water piece on the other. Check out this thread for much more info. Plenty of very happy nano-ers around!

Thanks, Nadia!! You're the best!

Hope you don't mind us sending people to your email or phone with questions and issues. Always know you'll get them straightened out.

Just completed my order on the maple enano and 18mm adjustable gong. I'm so excited :D

PS Nice to meet you Nadia :)

You think you're excited now, wait until you actually get it! Let us know how you like it once you get a chance to give it a whirl.

It is the mouthpiece. You put the cannabis on the end with the screen. The herb is over the heating element. Excellent flavor with the Nano. It doesnt require much cannabis to get you where you want to be.

Happy Friday Nano Nation. I have some Blue Dream, one of my favorites, that I'm medicating at the present in my "long glass rod".

Just wanted to say that Epics customer service is great! I received my nano and neither stem I got with it fit the unit. @nadia_epic had replacements sent out later that week. I was waiting for the replacement stems to arrive (they were supposed to the 6th) and I happened to be outside when the mailman came. Well no stems, I figured it was no big deal and that they'd show up the 7th. I went inside and checked the tracking and it claimed the stems were delivered, although they weren't. They did not come in the mail today either and USPS has been little to no help. Regardless, Nadia has been working though the issue with me and I just felt a shoutout was necessary for that!

Can't wait for this to get sorted out whether it be USPS finding the package or a replacement of the replacement from Epic (although I do not expect the latter since it isn't on them). I've been enjoying the nano and using it by butting up one of the poor fitting stems to the heating element and it works, but I know I'm still yet to experience the full potential the nano offers. I'm anxiously awaiting that day but till then, thank you for the customer service, Epic!

Hey FCers. My beloved Nano had something happen. I wanted to run it by and see if anyone has had this happen and if it's a problem.

Somehow, the screen at the top of the heating element has come loose. It is pushed down a little and crooked, like one side isn't attached? Is this a problem or just an annoyance. The concern is having material pass down into the heating shaft, which I can't tell is possible. Any advice?

Edit: I saw some posts earlier about the lifetime warranty. I was told by someone here that the way to enable "FC status" is putting "heard from FC forum' down on where you found the Nano. when filling out the warranty. Not sure if that's correct but that's how mine is set up.

The heater core screen, as far as I've been able to tell, is supposed to be fixed in position. Perhaps you should contact Andy for technical advice and a possible RMA.

Well my Massdrop Cherry Enano just came in this week, today was the first day I used it. Let it sit at 6.5 for a few hours and then used the direct draw stem with some jack herrer. Coming from a lot of great desktop vapes I had high expectations. I loaded up a very small amount, probably .05 or less, and let it rip.

Three or four progressively less dense vapor and I'm done- and blown away by how well it went- it's really impressive. This may have to be my daily driver for a while, I can't believe how fun it was to use.

I know the feeling @syrupy if you have the funds maybe it's time to add another Nano to the family. You could wait until the new unit comes then send it in for repairs. That's what I did when my wood split on mine. I didn't want to be without one so I bought another Nano then sent the split unit into Epic.

Epic will send a free shipping label to you.

My nano came in last week from Massdrop, unfortunately they put a full product description and price on the shipping label, so customs hit me with an additional 43 euro's. Apart from that, it's the first package ever from a vape/glass vendor that describes the content on the packaging. Thanx Massdrop..

I had to wait a couple of days to use it, because the step down converter i got made an awful loud buzzing sound, so i had to order a different one.

Like many others, i was surprised by the size, eventhough it had been said in these pages before lol ;)
Also like many others before me, i'm totally blown away by the effectiveness of the thing.
I was used to have a long, slow first draw almost without any visible vapor on my Herborizer, just the next hit would do the trick, and with a really big load in the bowl too, like at least half a gram.
But this thing, with it's tiny bowl, gave me real nice and tasty vapor within a few seconds of inhaling, and the effect is great too.
To celebrate, i got a piece of some really nice Temple Ball that i sandwiched a bit of between some herb and it was amazing, what a taste, and how well it vaped away, great!
I did put the screen down a bit though, so i could fit a bit more in there, but i still used up a tiny bit yesterday evening compared to what i used to go through in a single Herborizer load. I can't wait to further explore temps, screen depth etc.

So, first impression: WOW!

I don't think that would be because of massdrop, I believe Andy does this to protect himself, which is a very smart move on his part. Yes I know it sucks to ou customs fees (I never had to in my life, but who wants to spend money on that?) but protecting ones business should be a top priority, not lying about the contents and value..

@KidFated, it's always a tricky thing, our customs and ordering from the U.S., so i always consider it my own risk. Untill now the places i ordered from didn't specify the content (discrete packaging) and put a random pricetag on it, so usually the tax will be lower.
I don't know about the U.S. law and how it would affect the vendor on the other side of the pond, but of course one should always protect ones business first :)
It's just that i don't like the content, in this case a vaporizer, being specified on the box, so that neighbours, mailman or whomever gets into contact with my package know it's what's in there.

I definitely understand that feeling. Maybe aromatherapy device or something similar would be less "paraph-like" however there are plenty of kinds of vaporizers. We use them at work to vaporize chemicals into fabrics to remove any bacteria or bad stuff, we also have vaporizers in some shops around here, but those are more industrial sized boiler lookin things. Anyways, lots of different kinds of vaporizers, but I'm sure people only think about the one kind... Glad you're enjoying the Nano, it's a great device.

iirc Andy was very discrete with the description, and marked down the value (for customs) when I had my nano shipped to the UK direct from Epic

@highflier & @Dizzie206 & @amishgonewild & @Taproots & @Ace of Space - Welcome to the nano nation!

Hope USPS finally gets your replacement glass to you soon highflier. They can be so f'd up sometimes! Think you will find an incredible difference once you have them.

That sucks amishgold! Have you tried another cord? It's a pretty common end. Might be two bad cords? Hope you get a functioning one in your hands soon. That has got to suck!

I've been really loving my nano, since I posted I got a new strain and the performance is night and day compared to my old strain. Some strains just don't vape well, so I'm back in love again

Yeah... much also has to do with the quality of the material itself - pretty much the same with any vape. One of the things I really enjoy about the nano is with the great flavor profile, you taste much more of a difference between strains. I think you also feel the differences between strains more, too. Could all be in my head, but seems @ataxian & @CarolKing (with all the good stuff they refer to vaping) experience the same.

This sucks, man! There is some discussion wayyyy back in the tread about replacing this, but I wouldn't mess with it. Think you should be good to go with your warranty, but understand how tough it can be to be without your nano. When I had to send mine in (more than a year ago) I had it back in less than 10 days. Not business days, but all days. Glad it was so quick, but felt like I barely made it through with the old EQ. First world problems, eh? :)

Yeah... sounds like another Massdrop thing. Not sure about international shipping, but everything I've received from Epic is in a very discreet package. No mention of anything at all on the box or label. Guess there has to be something on international shipments, but that kind of sucks.

Sounds like you already have a pretty good handle on it, and are on the way to nano bliss. Funny how much so many people form sort of a personal relationship with their nano. Tho not surprising with so much versatility on how to use it.

Many new users and think it has been a month or so since I posted this link. Check out this vid on 2 Hit Extraction posted by Caligula. A great starting point for figuring out how you like to nano IMO. He also has some other vids on nanoing on his youtube page.

Hey all, USPS delivered my replacement stems today. After I put some pressure on them the package magically turned up! However, the replacements don't fit...So now my nano is 4/4 with stems not fitting. I'm starting to think that it might be my unit itself (see imugr album for the fits: http://imgur.com/a/p0QNw). I have another stem on the way from Epic that I ordered as insurance once this package was 'lost'. I just have a funny feeling that this stem won't fit either. Is it possible to file RMA's for items that were replaced? This is starting to get slightly annoying.

Well that REALLY sucks! Glad they got there, but sorry to hear they aren't fitting either.

All 4 are pretty much the same? Definitely seems there is something here that needs to be corrected by EpicVape, and soon.

Think you're fine for your returns.

.... In the meantime remember all of our glass pieces are guaranteed for 30 days whether it's a defect or shipping issue. All we require is a picture of the defective piece.

@flotntoke, it seems that all four are pretty much the same; here's the first two that came with the unit http://imgur.com/a/Djekb and then here are the two I got today (same album as my post earlier) http://imgur.com/a/p0QNw. Not sure if my core just happens to be slightly larger? As 4/4 I've tried have not fit, I have another one coming and I'll update everyone once that's here. @nadia_epic has been a lot of help thus far so I'm sure she'll help me out here. Since the replacements were already RMA's, on the site there is no way to request more so I'll have to wait till Monday, as I'm planning on calling to get this all sorted out.

Since all 4 seem to not fit in the same manner is it possible that my core could be slightly larger? has anyone had an issue like that before? I have a headshop in town that blows glass in shop so I might go there in the next day or two to see if they could widen up one of the stems a bit for the time being. However, I don't want to pay for that process if I'm just going to end up with a new nano at the end of this. I'll keep everyone updated thanks for all the replies!

I was kind of wondering the same thing about the size of your heater core (and others who have been having this problem, too). There have been some occasional glass issues in the past, but nothing like this that I recall. Andy mentioned something about this in the post I quoted above about 30 day glass warranty, but not really sure exactly what he was saying.

Really hope you and others with similar issues get it straightened out soon. Know that must really suck, but also know how amazing the nano is when you do have proper glass - and hope you'll all be able to see for yourselves soon!

I went back and looked, and all of the stems do have slightly different sizes. But when I call Monday we'll see what Epicvape thinks it could be. I'm just surprised that 4/4 do not fit and none of them are even close to fitting. Yeah I just keep reading this forum and seeing all the praise and it keeps me hopeful! I'll see what the headshop thinks they can do with widening the stem a bit, if it isn't too expensive I'll probably go through with it so it will work properly for the time being! thanks for all the support, guys!
