Verdamper vaporizer

Got the issue with the site all sorted out, just one more question before I pull the trigger on this beauty...

large or small deluxe version?

I've never actually used one of these before, or seen them in person. I'm a bit concerned the small might be kind of an awkward setup and possibly have stability issues due to the height, and that the large might be a bit too big for personal use.

Any thoughts?

Thanks.

sledge,
I would recommend the large, the difference isn't all that great(just the bottle is 500ml. larger) and not significant enough IMO to matter much in space it takes up etc..;)

What about the temperatures ?

I'm interested in this vape but i need the full CBD spectrum.
I didn't get the full spectrum from a MFLB.

Mr.Sifter,
Just asked the shopmanager on FB. :)
The Verdamper's power supply is set up to prevent reaching over 203°C, where its can get to a 'burnt/roasting' flavouring, but that certainly is hot enough to vaporate any CBD, he even uses it to completely vaporise oldfashioned hashish(good quality a must there).
So you should be able to pull all active ingredients with de Verdamper, including the CBD's.

Thanks for this information.
Is it true that you can increase the temp by 10 degrees celsius when you place your hand on top of the geating element?

Mr.Sifter,
Not sure about the exact increase, but yes when you restrict the airflow doing that it will get hotter.
Should still remain under 203°C though, to get above that you'd have to be, and i quote, "a giant with megalungs". ;)
I have asked if that's in the ballpark or not, wil get back on that. ;)

Havelock Vetenari,
Well it's hard to give a 'hard' answer...;)
All depending on how hard/long you suck, how much/what kind of material you pack, with or without restriction etc..
A lot of folk IMO waste the precious first vapes, which includes most terpenes(which
should evaporate around/before 140°C, if i remember correctly), as they see no or little vapour.
I think these are the tastiest hits and always give them special care.
From there on i usually steadily increase the temp by drawing longer/slower or putting my hand on top until there's little to no taste and effect left.

I did get an answer about placing your hand on top, which indeed gives an increase in temperature of about 10 to 15°C.

Is it capable of releasing the plant's full CBD content ?
I need the CBD because i tend to panic on higher levels of THC.

is the nickel-heating element save? i read about outgasing toxins from the metal.

right now, i'm between the cano and the verdamper.

two different animals

I cant confirm either of your questions unfortunately. However i will tell you that the verdamper runs at the hotter end of the scale. It produces a dense thick vapour so it definitely is releasing a broad spectrum of actives. With the top covered i can believe it would be around 210 degrees.

Is it safe? I personally would not be concerned about using one.

Ps do you have other vapes? What are your priorities apart from high temps?

i had a MFLB, a Aromed, and a Q.

none of them fit my needs.

Plenty of high temp vapes out there .. have you considered butane vapes? Vapman, lotus, daisy etc ... they all have potential to combust ... you may like that ability?

thanks.
i want to defeat combustion totally.
i am a smoker so thats a huge fight.

i dont want to spend long time vaping.
one decent hit or a nice small ballon and i am good.

i have very low tolerance.
the reason for vaping and consuming MJ is recreational and medicinal.

the aromed an me we just did not bond.
the mflb was to hard to use.
the Q had no built quality. it can do a lot of things but IMHO not in the top class.

the volcano can get as hot as 230°C.
thats a big plus.

can anyone compare cano vs. verdamper in vapor quality and canabinoids ?

The volcano has more temperature control and i would guess that it gets slightly hotter. You may also want to consider a crafty/mighty .. they 'only' go up to 210 but it can hit like a freight train.

Verdamper excels imo in taste / vapour density and that it can deliver large amounts of vapour .. good for groups etc. If you have a low tolerance etc .. it may not be ideally suited?

Overall verdamper is more flavoufu imol but volcano has more control

the reason i am interested in the verdamper is its design and the videos i saw on youtube and i could get the small deluxe version for about 110 $

though i am a bit worried about the heating element.
there must be a reason all medical studies i know about vaping are made with the cano or the aromed

The heating element has been tested and is safe. Do not concern yourself with that issue.

For that price just buy it ... if you dont want it ill buy it off you for the same price ... seriously.

Has anyone tried high CBD strains in the verdamper and can confirm the verdampers ability to extract the full canabinoid spectrum?

Can't really comment on the exact temp of the air stream as it flows over the flowers, but I do know that if you occlude the entrance to the air stream this will cause a significant increase that results in "thicker" pulls of vapor. I personally never feel the need to use this technique, as it sort of defeats the purpose of the unit.

De Verd rips and is really good at fully extracting IMO.
I've only used in Amsterdam but it seemed to keep pulling vapor out after many hits.
Partially covering the intake you do raise the heat for full extraction.

I loved it but not my personal choice for a home vape as it's too big for me and kinda looks like a big science experiment. Great unit though!

Mr Sifter said that you don't want to spend a long time vaping but this has substantial warmup time.
Once heated, yes, you can get fully medicated in a couple big pulls. Coffeeshop in AMS said to call ahead by 15 minutes and they'll get it ready/heated up. Does it work for your needs to turn it on and wait 15 minutes b4 using?

If not, might not be for you.

I tried de Verdamper couple of weeks ago in Amsterdam, I absolutely loved it!
Very good thick hits, and I only put in just a little bit of herb.

I was considering buying one the next day, but the prices for a new unit are insane here,
but for $110 I would buy one without any hesitation, thats almost nothing compared to the prices on his webshop.
The one I tried was this one: http://www.de-verdamper.com/prestashop/product.php?id_product=25,
of course they displayed the most expensive one in the shop, but it was very very good.

But the prices are just way much imo: from €290 for the cheapest model to €415 :uhh: for the best one...
